My son has been using Ensure for years. He's a vegetarian, so it's sometimes hard to get enough protien in him. Ensure is a great way to get him to have enough protien in his diet. He loves the chocolate and vanilla flavors!

I haven't been really sick for more than twenty years but this year I neglected to get a flu shot and developed a serious strain of flu that had me flat on my back with no appetite and I was rapidily dehydrating. After I spent a few days in the hospital to be pumped full of fluids to help with the dehydration, I was still unable to eat. My doctor said that I needed to get some kind of nourishment into my body and he recommended Ensure Plus Protein. That is about all I could consume for a few weeks while I slowly introduced solid foods back into my body. Even now that I am almost 100%, I still have Ensure daily to make sure I have the nutrients it offers that I don't get in the foods I regularly eat. I first tried Ensure after a dental extraction. I am usually not able to swallow pills easily as it is, so this thick liquid seemed the ticket.

It's cost is a bit much; but once you buy it, you'll love it. I was not a happy camper after the extraction and drinking it filled me up and made my pills far easier to swallow.

The taste took a bit of getting used to. I have never even had as much as a slim fast in my life! I was quite unaccustomed to liquid diet/nutritional supplement drinks. But, I am glad they have this flavor.

The chocolate is rich, and is best served well-chilled (recommended on the bottle). Give it a quick shake and it is ready to drink!

I fed this to my father. The doctor needed him to eat but he just wasn't able. He'd say, "Come on over and make me one of your shakes!" I'd use this ensure and add chocolate ice cream (Dr. recommended.) He loved them! Until he passed away, this helped him maintain his weight and he enjoyed the times we spent chatting while we drank them. I would make them really think and he just loved the chocolate taste. I have a 15-month old daughter who has trouble gaining weight. At her last checkup, she hadn't gained one single ounce in three months! Both my husband and my youngest daughter drink Ensure. I found that instead of fighting with my daughter to get her to eat, ensure does the trick. I'm not a big fan of the drink, but by them both having sensitive stomachs this was the best choice for a supplement. I don't have to fight with anyone eating breakfast anymore.
