LizD says "Best gift ever (a week) after surgery" about Edible Arrangements

A friend of mine had a large arrangement for guests to eat at an outdoor wedding while we were waiting for the service to start. Absolutely delicious, and great finger food. Then a week after I had surgery, the same friend had a large arrangement with a teddy bear delivered to me. It was the best gift ever. I was so tired recovering that just eating an apple seemed like too much work, but here was healthy fruit (and fiber) that I could easily pick off with my fingers while I watched TV. So a friend of mine had surgery a week and a half ago and I sent her an arrangement yesterday with a "get well" balloon. She was thrilled, and so happy to have something healthy and enjoyable to eat. Caveat--these things take up a lot of room in the fridge. If you're delivering it to a single person, even the small ones are large, and they may not be able to finish it or fit it in their fridge. This is better for a large family or event so they don't need to store it. But if you call ahead and they give...
...

RubyRedSquirt says "good gift" about Edible Arrangements

I got to try the chocolate dipped fruit last week. I got a cute box with 6 chocolate dipped fruit inside. There were 2 strawberries, 3 oranges, and 1 banana. The fruit was good, better than I expected. The chocolate however was the best I'd ever tasted. I really liked the flavor and it really complimented the fruit well.

What I didn't like was the price. I think it was around 14.99 and I just feel that's a bit too expensive. So I'm not sure I'll be buying again but I will surely miss that chocolate! But it would make a nice gift for those that can afford it.
...

blackbearpie says "A Semi-Edible Arrangement" about Edible Arrangements

I know that the product may vary by location because it is a fresh food product, but I was disappointed by arrangement I received. I tried the sample box that retailed for $15 dollars for six chocolate strawberries. Considering that you can buy a whole pint of sweet ripe strawberries for under $6, $15 dollars for a box of six is quite pricey. The price would not ultimately be an issue if I found the product to be tasty, but the strawberries were not ripe and the chocolate was only mediocre. I have made my own chocolate strawberry's using dove chocolate and got much better results. The idea is certainty innovative, and would be a great gift giving alternative, but for the high prices they charge I would expect a much better quality fruit.
...

mirippong says "Daisy Banana dipped in Chocolate is soooo small but so expensive" about Edible Arrangements

I ordered a Daisy Banana dipped in Chocolate (or something similar to this name) for my mom. Once she received it, i asked her to send a pic of it comparing to something. She sent me a pic with a 16 oz. water bottle next to it, and gotta say, I was pretty disappointed. even with a discount, I spent $50 and I thought it was way too small for what it's worth. Fortunately, my mom liked it and she said that it was perfect for one person to enjoy the goodies (of course I didn't tell her how much I spent). Also the arrangement did not look as good as the picture. I honestly don't expect any goodies to look exactly like the pictures, but dang! still!!!!!!!!
...

cwojopa says "Poor customer service" about Edible Arrangements

I ordered the dipped apple and strawberry box for my Mother-in-law's birthday. The package was delivered after 5 p.m. and left in an inconspicuous place. She didn't know she even had a package until I called the next day and asked whether she received it. When she retrieved it, the fruit was bad and the chocolate melted.

I called the number on my reciept and they directed me to dippedfruit.com. Dippedfruit.com did not seem to care at all and blamed it on UPS. I spent $54 on the gift. They did not offer anything to make the situation right - other than a $5 coupon off my next purchase. As if, I would ever order from them again.

I am disputing the charge with the credit card company.
...

cookieeater says "Edible Arrangements ... chocolate dipped bananas " about Edible Arrangements

I used Edible Arrangements 3 times in the last year. Once for my grandmother's birthday (she lives in another state), once for a thank you for a good friend and once for myself (box of chocolate strawberries and apples with almonds and coconut).

My grandmother was so thrilled by the arrangement. Thank God. I now have something that I know she likes. She really doesn't need "stuff" anymore, so I always on the lookout for a good consumable for her. The fact that this is healthy makes me even happier. I also ordered it on their great website and they delivered it the same day. Whoo hoo!

I sent one to my friend and it had chocolate dipped bananas in in. She said it was incredible. It was actually cheaper than what I would have paid for a floral arrangement.

I had a coupon and finally splurged on a box of chocolate dipped fruit for myself. I'm still dreaming about it. Very fresh and the apples with the chocolate and chopped almonds was to die for.

I read a bad review...
...

I placed an online order for an arrangement to be delivered to my mom the day prior to Mother's Day. I was contacted the day of delivery and informed that the website "routed' my order to the wrong store. I requested a Monday delivery and the store was unable to accommodate. These arrangements are a great idea but the customer service is a big disappointment. I have provided the store with feedback and will update this if they make any attempt to fix the issue.
...

I ordered an Edible Arrangement last weekend for a family event in Maryland and was very disappointed with the quality of the fruit. Although the strawberries were delicious, the melon was not at all ripe (it was actually crunchy). Because the melon made up about 60% of the arrangement, it was a huge disappointment and truly "inedible." When I called the store after the party, they said they don't have time to conduct quality control on the fruit because production times are tight and that melon is out of season now. Given that fruit is their business, I was shocked at that response. I will not order from them again!
...

TLY says "Very poor customer service at the Arcadia, California store" about Edible Arrangements

We live in Minnesota, and I placed an order for a same day delivery via online for our daughter in California, who had just had minor surgery. Since it was too early in the morning to call, so I waited until the store opened to see if they received my order and if they could deliver it before 3:00 pm PT. (when my daughter had to leave for a doctor appointment at that time) I spoke to Yvette, and she said no problem. It'll go out in that morning. I called again at 1:30 pm PT and she said it would be there within the hour. But it didn't get there till 3:30 pm - when my daughter was gone. When I called Yvette (who said she was the owner) why she had mislead me on what she could/couldn't do, she said there are no promises as to when deliveries are made - which is contrary to what she said the previous times. Very poor customer service, and worse yet when it comes from the manager of the store. With the economy being what it is, she should be grateful for any business coming her way and treat...
...

dmlichnerowicz says "Healthy and thoughtful gift for every occasion" about Edible Arrangements

My mother-in-law typically buys me Avon products for my birthday...this year, since we didn't come back to visit them, she ordered an Edible Arrangement for me. The closest store is about 35 minutes from my home, so I had to pick it up myself, which was no big deal, but might be inconvenient for some. The arrangement came in a cute green ceramic mug and was packaged in plastic and a carrying box, so we had no spills on the drive home. My arrangement consisted of grapes, canteloupe, pineapple, honeydew, and chocolate-dipped strawberries...no bruises or bad spots on any of the fruit.

Since we had no reason to display the arrangement, I removed all the fruit from the skewers. Being a cheapskate, I saved them all with grandiose plans to try to create an arrangement of my own (still in the drawer...). We enjoyed the fruit for several days...the only thing I would advise is storing the chocolate-dipped strawberries in a container separate from the other fruit...the chocolate shell...
...

Mom Mom was so proud of this unique gift. We ate from the back of the arrangement so she could enjoy it even longer and the fruit was quite good. It tasted fresh. Finally, we took some pictures so we could enjoy more of the arrangement.

This was my first experience with Edible Arrangements and their edible birthday bouquets. Since then I 've enjoyed sending them as an alternative to flowers or candy for Easter. Of course you can send chocolate covered fruit as well! These arrangements are really appreciated by recipients of all ages. So far all of our Edible Arrangements......
