EdenPure does what it promises with their space heaters. No chance of a fire or carbon monoxide poisoning, this heater only uses as much electricity as a coffee maker while heating half of our house. I doesn't make much noise, is safe because the casing is cool tom the touch, or warm, because both of our cats vie for the top of it. It can be left unattended and be sitting right next to a box of tissue, withoiut the worry of starting a fire. There is also no mcarbon monoxide so you don't have to worry about not waking up when you go to bed for the night. I heats with some liquid that is safely contained so the heating elements are way inside the unit. My husband understands more how it works, and is happy with that. Since he makes the money nand I spend it, I am the onw who also likes to save it, and this is where I come in with the review. We turn our thermostat at 50 degrees, and set the heater when the room temperature is comfortable, and our heat bills are a fraction...

We tried one of these and had not been for the noise we could not tell that it was working. We never felt any benefit from running it and the house stayed just as cold as before if we didn't cranck the central heat. We returned it...

Why not, we thought!

MY husband and I have been through many types of heating systems and decided to give the EdenPure 1000 XL a shot. We are so glad we did. We live in a small modest home and are very enery conscious so we thought maybe, just maybe, this heater would do the trick and we were right. We love it! It has kept our heating cost at a minimum and we are warm and cozy too! We have had no trouble with the system and have been using it for months now. The cost was so worth it!

We researched every "safe/less flamable/space heater" on the planet- Edenpure kept leaping out even with the bad/negative reviews and comments- WE LOVE THEM- We could not believe the differnce within 24hrs of turning them on as far as comfort and room temp control supplement. Our heat is propane and at over 3.00 per gallon the fact that the heat only comes on 1 maybe 2 times a day is great. The unit is expensive but so far we are pleased that it does not get hot and sends out an even stream of warm air with no eye drying results. We also gave dogs and it does not attract them like other space heaters we have tried so that they lay up against it and singe themselves. We will know better when we see how many seasons we actually get out of them or if there will be replacement part issues. But we think that they are a surprise in general and there has to be an open mind the first week of receiving them if you choose to try them!

BAOUGHT THE EDEN-PURE MODEL 1000XL, AND IT WORKED FOR A WHOLE WEEK. CALLED THE COMPANY SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE I GOT AND ANSWER. THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO SEND THE HEATER BACK TO THEM, AND I HAD TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING. WHAT A JOKE. I SPEND $400.00 ON SOMETHING THAT QUITS WORKING IN 1 WEEK, AND I HAVE TO PAY TO SEND IT TO GET FIXED. I WAS TOLD BY MY FRIEND NOT TO BUY AN EDEN-PURE, BUT I BELIEVED THE GREAT "ADVERTISING" AND THE FACT THAT IT IS MENTIONED ON "PAUL HARVEY". THAT JUST SHOWS YOU THAT MONEY SPENT ON ADVERTISING WILL BUY ANYONES OPINION. I SHOULD HAVE WAITED AND BAUGHT THE "OTHER BRAND" THAT DID A SALE IN TOWN THE SAME DAY. EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE MORE EXPENSIVE, I HAVE FRIENDS THAT HAVE THEM AND NEVER HAVE HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM. MAYBE I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK FROM THE "CROOKS" AND THEN CAN BUY A REAL HEATER....

We do not recommend this heater at all. Bought an EdenPure 1000-XL this year, used it for a month or so up to now, and don't think it meets our expectation. It is pricy, noisy, and not that powerful as said in the pamphlet. Another heater we have, a Lasko unit, cost about 1/10 of 1000-XL but can do same or even better job.

If you believe the cheating ad as we did, go ahead and buy one. If you want to gather honest opinions before wasting your money, our recommendation is to look something else.

The EdenPURE 1000 XL Quartz Infrared Portable Heater heats up to 1000 square feet which is plenty for my apartment. This space heater is pretty pricey coming in at around $350 but for me, it's been worth it. EdenPure heaters come with remote controls for those lazy folks like me. The filters are washable. Plus, I believe most EdenPure heaters come with a 1 year warranty.

Space heaters are not the most attractive home appliances. I do not really like the color and bulky shape of my edenpure but hey, it's a space heater right? How pretty can they be?...
