Brisco says "It is a rip off. I bought one and I am going to return it." about EdenPure 1000 Quartz Infrared Heater

I just bought the EdenPURE GEN3 Model 1000 Quartz Infrared Portable Heater a few days ago. It doesn't do anything else more than a regular 1500 W fan space heater but its cost is $397.00. You can find any other space heater that works with a fan and you get the same results. I tried it for a few days and I am not satisfied at all. I bought a similar 1500 W space heater with a fan for $80 and I tried it in the same living room (about 300 Sq. Feet) keeping the door closed and with same outside temperature conditions and I got the same temperature results, Both the EdenPURE and the other stove I bought later were working continuosly with no stops, so I can't even say that the EdenPURE was using less electricity bringing the room temperature to a certain level and stop for a period of time to reactivate later on. The shape of the one I bought is much better. It looks like a wood stove with a glass door and a light inside that simulates the live wood fire. I find this very romantic and completes...
...

kcp2273 says "The ice is off the windows with our Eden Pure 1000" about EdenPure 1000 Quartz Infrared Heater

We have an older Eden Pure model, the large 1000, not one of the X-models or Gen models. Our model has the adjustable thermostat on the back, a dial that you can turn up or down to adjust the temperature in the room. The design is black and burled walnut-wood finish. The front just has the on/off switch.

Our house is an older concrete block building with poor insulation, and while the heater did ok for the majority of the house most winters, it didn't do anything at all in our bedroom, so we were left using electric heaters and a lot of blankets. The ice would build up on the windows, and you could see your breath in the air, so on the coldest days of winter, we'd be forced to hibernate in the living room.

We bought the Eden Pure 1000 used from a relative for $175. It really made a difference wherever we put it. We usually use it just in the bedroom and it is basically the only heat that we get in the bedroom. It runs steadily until the room is warmed. Once the room...
...
