I had to wait for several years to get the money together at one time to buy the EdenPure. I have no central heat in my house and have used various types of electric heaters. This year however I was able to purchase the EdenPure and I am so pleased. I think it would be safe to say I have never been more pleased with a product. This heater does everything they advertise it will do. I am glad that I was able to invest in a good heatrer I chose the EdenPure.
...

Phu-Bai says "Not worth the price" about Eden Pure Quartz Infrared Portable Heater

Fortunately for me, I did not buy this heater. I inherited it and the big brother to this heater also. I had an elderly uncle who bought them both, and never opened the carton containing the larger one.

I find this heater is no better than the small electric heaters I purchased from Lowe's. I have been using this smaller unit in my home office and yes, it will warm the room, but no faster or warmer than the Lowe's heaters. I have to be within 5 feet or less to even feel the air coming out of it. One thing that would help this unit is a multi-speed fan. Another irritant is the on-off switch is on the front, but the temperature control is on the BACK - why not put it on the front?

Sorry, I would not recommend anyone buying this heater, its WAAAAYYY over-priced and smaller, more convenient heaters are available from stores such as Lowes, Home Depot, and even Wal-Mart.
...

I've recently purchased the Eden Pure Gen3 Model 500 Quartz/Infrared portable Heater that heats up to 300 square feet. I bought it for my very elderly mother-in-law, who lives with us and whom I take care of 24/7. I suffer from a severe heat disorder, and therefore having the furnace running all the time is not only costly for me, but also is a risk to my health and well-being. Thus, my husband and I have been beating our heads against the wall for months in trying to find a solution for this upcoming winter season. My mother-in-law is cold ALL OF THE TIME, and I'm not exagerating this in any degree!! She spends most of her time in the living room, so this is where we have the heater. It is absolutely try to its description. it doesn't get hot on the outside of it, so there's no risk of fire. You can use the top for a shelf or table to set things on. This heater does heat from the floor to the ceiling as well as reheating all of the air in the room, and it is very comfortable and...
...

The Eden Pure Quartz/Infrared Portable Heater is one of the best investments we have ever made. We live in South Dakota and used two of them to heat our house last winter. We have approximately 1400 square feet of living space and had no trouble heating our home.

One of the best things about the heaters is that I don't have to worry about my grandchildren or anyone else touching the outside of the heater as it is always cool. That was a feature we really liked as the one heater basically was used as an end table. Another great feature is their portability. We could move the heaters to any location in the house without any problems. We also liked the fact that our heaters came with a 3 year warranty. I don't know of any other space heater that comes with that long a warranty.

We also did not notice a large increase in our electric bill. Compared to propane heat, the Eden Pure Heater was definitely cheap to run.

We made sure that our Eden Pure Heater was not on a...
...

ducky707 says "Our Eden Pure seems to do the job." about Eden Pure Quartz Infrared Portable Heater

We have just received our Eden Pure 500 heater. It will be interesting to see if what the manufacturers say about it is true. If it will help cut our electric bill down then it will be a keeper. We have 60 days to find out. I have high hopes because in these times every penny counts.

If this Eden Pure 500 does not meet our expectations then we will consider some other brand due to the fact that we get some very cold winters here in North East WA. We are happy that we have a testing period to see if this heater will meet our needs. There are a lot of different heaters with different heating concepts and different modes of operation out there to choose from and sometimes it takes a lot of time and effort to find the appliance that will fill those needs!. If we had a fireplace or a pellet stove that would be a workable solution also. But with our present income that is not a possible action for us.

Not the cheapest IR unit on the market but has lots of extras to give you more bang for the buck. Suggest you look for the Gen3 1000 even if you have a room smaller than 1000 sq ft. You'll actually use less energy since the auto setting will kick down the wattage once temp is achieved. Also, look for a reconditioned or demo unit. Several official refurbishers on E-Bay offer. They carry the same 3 yr guarantee as a new one but you'll save over a $100. Really good unit IMHO. Using it in a 10 x 20 3 season room and it takes less than an hour to raise temp 20 degrees or more. Keeps it constant with very little extra "high" output.
...

The Eden Pure Quartz/Infrared Portable Heater is just average. I live in a small house with no furnace, so I bought this to heat the living room and kitchen areas. Most of the time it does a great job, but if it gets below freezing, I have to bring in another small heater to help it out. I have the "1000" and it was supposed to heat up to 500 square feet and the area I have it for is only about 450.

Also, after the first winter, it started making a loud, vibrating, noise and I have not been able to find anyone who can fix it or knows what it might be. It still works, but we can't watch tv in the living room while its running without turning the volume up really high.

Mine is an older model, bought in 2006 and I am told they are better now. I know I had a 1 year warranty and now they offer two years. It is safe around pets and small children, though, because the outside doesn't get hot. That was the main reason I bought it.
...

Eden Pure provides both warmth and safety in a heater. It is both child and animal proof. It is a great addition to warm rooms with cold spots that a regular furnace never seem to reach. You can adjust the amount of heat by turning it up higher for quick warming of a room, then adjust downward to keep the temperature to your satisfaction. A remote control makes setting controls convenient. I've owned mine for 2+ years and have thoroughly enjoyed using it. My neighbor purchased one last year after seeing mine and enjoyed using theirs last winter. The small increase in my electric bill is worth the comfort my family receives by using this heater.
...
