Our Eden Pure 1000XL does work OK but made our electric bill increase by $30+/month. Also when our electric goes off even for a second, which it does at times, the heater shuts off and doesn't come back on by itself. This leaves us waking up to a cool 60 degree temp as that is where we keep the thermostat for the whole house as suggested by Eden Pure.
...

Let me be up front and clear from the begining! I am a service technician for an authorized EDEN PURE DEALER. I deal with customers who are in warrantty and out of warrantty.. I also check returns that have been sent back with in the return period. Does this heater work for everyone? NO, but what product does. I do know most people are very happy with their 1000XL'S ,SUN-TWIN 1500 ELITES ,1000 gen-3 and sun twin gen-3. But don't expect the smaller models to do what the bigger models do. Also, if the product where junk folks would not spend the money to buy replacement parts for their heaters. Many people want to fix them at home instead of send them in. Because they do not want to be with out them. Even when they are still under warranty, they will buy the parts instead of sending the unit in... Yes, unfortunatley when you sell this many units as a company in whole... There will be some unhappy customers,, some do have a bad experiences(I apologize) some just will not be...
...

We ordered this heater and paid a lot for it then received a letter that would have given us a much better price, nice! We put the Eden Pure Quartz Infrared Model 1000XL Heater in a room which, although it is open to the rest of the house, always seemed cold. We were never comfortable to sit and enjoy the room. We got the Eden Pure Quartz Infrared Model 1000XL Heater and it was easy to understand basically plug it in and use the remote to adjust the temperature. The strange thing is we put a thermometer in the same room and it never got much warmer yet it felt warmer. We can tell if we don't have it running because the room is chilly. Our electric bill went up approx $20-25 which we thought was good. The only down side is the price and if the electricity goes out it will not turn itself back on. You have to unplug it and start it all over again. Overall not sure it was worth the money.
...

I am on my 4th Eden Pure in a little over a year. I returned the other 3. What a piece of junk. Blows nice and warm for an hour. Then starts cool down mode and gets colder , until I shut it off by unplugging. Otherwise it would never stop blowing cold. It is JUNK. Not much help from customer service. I called and sent emails. I just wasted $400. I tell everyone that I know NOT to buy one. I 'm stuck. The warranty is off and they have every excuse possible not to honor it anyway , when I call. I took Paul Harvey's word for it and look what happened to him. Email me if you have the same concern . I'd love to find a lawyer to get a class action suit going against Bio Tech.

...

Our family purchased an Eden Pure for $400. Our mistake was not doing research on the product. There are many reviews that show what we found out for ourselves. It worked fine for the first two days when the temperature outside was 40 + degrees, after that the temperature dropped and the heater could not keep up, and we ended up using the furnace. The whole point to buying this was so we wouldn't have to use the furnace. The heater ran 24hrs a day and never shut off. It is basically an overpriced electric space heater. We never checked out if we would have saved any money but I am not certain that having this heater run around 700 hours a month would pay for itself in even two winters. We have another electric heater that we spent around $15 on and it does the same thing as the Eden Pure. The only good thing about the Eden Pure is that the exterior does not get hot. If you do buy one make sure and get it from a store where you can return it directly to them, not having......

I have read a lot of poor reviews on youtube about customer service being bad, and I haven't called them so can't comment on that. I do know that mine works very well and I'm very happy with it. I'm living in my parents basement. The basement was fine (no AC needed) in the summer but got very cold in the Fall and the heating through the radiator was too much, uneven, and I just didn't feel it was good for my allergies and asthma. We just built the basement and so everything is brand new. The house itself is built 2004. My dad got the Eden Pure in Sep and I've been using it since then (it's been almost 5 months now) and can't complain. It heats up the entire basement and I leave it on all the time and every day- unless I'm going away for a few days. When I come back, I turn it on and it is very quick to heat the area back very quickly and very evenly. It makes no sounds and is totally safe- don't even know it's there. My basement is basically an open hall with tv area, study corner, and...
...

The Eden Pure heater we bought is absolutely wonderful. Our home is approx 950 square ft tri-level. Kitchen and bath on bottom bedrooms on the middle floor and the livingroom above the kitchen. We put the Eden Pure on the second level. Shut off all heat ducts to the upper 2 floors. We only use the furnace to heat the kitchen and bath and keep the thermostat in kitchen at 65 deg at night and 68 during the day. Our home is a steady 70 -72 on the upper floors. We have only used 5% (16.75 gal. out of our propane tank in 2 months Oct and November. We live in Michigan and it has been blustery and cold. Our electric bill is about $30 more than in the summer months. Last year we spent about $1600 in propane to heat our home. This year we will only spend about $550.

The heat from this heater is very even and not dry at all. Very cozy. ...

I purchased an Eden Pure Model 1000XL heater and it worked approximately 2 months so I contacted customer service at Biotech Research and they told me to send it in for a replacement. I did so and received the new one at the beginning of spring. So took it out of box and checked to make sure it worked. It came on and then shut down so thinking all was well, I packed it away till this winter. Cold weather hit so unpacked the heater and plugged it in and was all set to be warm and cozy, right? WRONG! It came on, heated up, the blower came on to cool it down and that was it. It would not come back on again regardless of the temperature it was set on or how cold the room was it was sitting in. When I contacted customer service this time and tried to explain the situation, I was told in no uncertain terms that it wasn't under warranty even though , the paperwork states a year warranty on them. When I pointed this out I was told that was on the original heater not the replacement! Then......
