Rock Band is a great idea for any family. It gives you the ability to play instruments even if you have never played one before. It is a fun, relaxed way to enjoy the music you know and act like you are really playing it.

You can challenge yourself to band "tours" or play one one against another player. You can also play for scores or if you want, you can place it on "no fail" status and just have fun without worrying about failing and stopping the music. You don't HAVE to have someone sing everytime and you can also play solo on any instrument you choose.

When using the drums, I recommend buying the drum covers as it makes them a little quieter and gives a little bounce back to the drumsticks. The standard guitars work great. Even when we bought one of the newer guitars I preferred the keys on the original.

We have used Rock Band at every family gathering and for small reunion parties.

This game is great... it offers a variety of songs and i think that the drums are awesome... it is worh the money it offers alot of entertainment. It also has multi-player and you can play online against other people.

Rock Band Rocks! It is the most fun for the whole family and all your friends, even the little ones and the really old ones! The skill levels make it possible for everyone to play! I know 3 little kids under 2 years old that LOVE to jam (1 on drums and 2 on guitar!) with or without their parents. That's when they can get a turn in, there's a line of folks waiting for their turn here! If you like to sing or play guitar, bass or drums this game is the best! There are downloadable songs from every genre so there is always "one of your favorites" available for download to play! I do mean every genre! From Spongebob to Stevie Ray Vaughn, Janis Joplin to Megadeth, ACDC to Yingwie Malmstein! and lots more in between! You can even download whole albums! Be prepared for so much fun you'll sweat! (especially playing the drums!) The characters are fully customizeable too, so your character can look just like you!

I have always been a huge fan of Guitar Hero, so it was an absolute must that I tried out Rock Band. The games are quite similar in style, but Rock Band was the first video game that gets the whole band together. I have never really gotten into playing with the whole band, so I never purchased a band kit. Typically when I play the video game I am alone.

The song selection on Rock Band is incredible. I feel like on a similar difficulty as Guitar Hero the games are quite a bit easier to play. The one thing I did not like about this games is that in the career mode you had to play the songs down the list to earn the next one. There were a few songs that I didn't know or didn't care for that I wished I could have passed up but I had to earn them by playing all the songs in the gig.

You also can use your Guitar from any other game, so this is a great game to buy separately if you don't want to have to purchase the whole band kit. If you like to rock out to some...

I am not very fond of the game Rock Band. It seems completely pointless to me! I see it as a way to wast money and time.

I thought guitar hero was okay, so I thought maybe rockband would be more exciting. But I was dissapointed. You can sing, play guitar, or drums. I don't like the singing at all. It is not really about your singing skill, you basically just have to figure out how to cheat the game and there you go. The guitar feels strange and seems much more cheap than the guitar hero guitars. I haven't played the drums, but have seen someone do it and there seems to be no technique to it.

Also, I have heard so many people tell me how the equipment breaks very easily and is very cheap. You spend a lot of money on these peices to play with the game and after a few times, they break! What a rip off!

Trust me, don't waste your money on this cheap cop out of a video game. How about instead, go out and buy a real guitar

Rock Band is an a very well put together game. It offers many different modes to play and a very wide variety of songs to play, unlock, and download. Remind it over Guitar Hero anyday. Allows you to play with four people at once, and has a big selection between guitar, drums, vocals, and bass....

Rock band is an adrenaline pumping game that will leave you wanting to play more and more after hours of rocking out. It is amazing how fun it is to simulate being a rockstar playing your favorite songs with your friends. Not only is it a fun game but it has a large variety of music to be played for rockers of all tastes. I highly advise getting this game wether you are a hard core rock fan or if you just enjoy music or playing instruments.

Rock Band, what can I say this game ROCKS!!! I play it for hours on end. Every time me and my friends get together we play rock band. This is a must have game for anyone who likes or loves music. It is a party game, get 4 people together and rock the night away....

The PS3 Rockband game is an awesome game. I play this game with my brother and my husband's friends and it's blast. I would recommend the wireless one just because I have a 3 year old and he runs around a lot. Wires for the drum set aren't long enough. I play all instruments but the drums are my favorite. The glitch is the singing part. It's programmed to where you just have to get your voice just right to score even if you're not singing the right words. I had hoped that it would be like karaoke to where you had to get the notes right and also the words. You know whatI mean.......Other than that it's awesome. Oh a little note: There may be just one guitar instrument but when you actually play the guitar it will give you two options. One of the options is the BASS guitar....

Rockband is a great game for people of all ages, fun and interactive. The song list is great. Its a great way to get the whole family together and have some fun. The visual affects are good. It really makes you feel as though you are a rockstar. You can almost feel the crowd chanting your name. So I say Rock on ladies and gentlemen. Are you ready to rock.

This game is pure fun. If you have played guitar hero before, the same developers that made the previous two games are the creators of this one. They have taken the best aspects ofthe guitar hero games and expanded them into a game for an entire band. With a frontman(or woman), Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Drums; people truly get a feel for what it is like to play in a band. From the various game modes and interchangeable band members, this game will last the test of time.

With the addition of new downloadable content every week, the game feels like an interactive Ipod. Currently there are over 500 tracks to play on either version of this game between Rock Band 1, Rock Band 2, Rock Band AC/DC Live, and pure DLC.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the variety of songs available on Rock Band for PS3. As a 50-something year old woman, I never expected to see songs I would know from my younger years, but there are some wonderful options. I recommend downloading additional songs from the website to expand game play. This gives a great opportunity for family members to play together and have a wonderful time!...

I had first tired this game last Thanksgiving with my brothers and I thought it was really fun. I got my PS3 and Rockband for Christmas and it is a great party game when you have friends over. It is easy to understand and the song selection is pretty extensive. Download content enhances the game.......

I played it just to see what the fuss was about and got hooked. with classics and modern rock songs, once i pick up it faux fender guitar I can get lost playing it. i recommend it even if u dont like rock. I plan on buying it ASAP but for now im just gonna play at my best friends house and we gon rock the party
