we've owned the Dyson all floors vaccum for 5 years, I have 2 kids, a 6 year old a 4 year old, 2 dogs, a rough collie (long hair - sheds like crazy) and a terrier mix who also sheds, 2 cats and 2 rabbits -- can you imagine all that hair and all that mess!!~ we use this vaccum atleast 2x a day, for 5 years!! and its still going strong this has to be hands down the very best purchase we have ever made as far as household products goes. before this vaccum we felt like we were constantly having to buy a new one. we have both hardwood and carpeting in our house, we use this in all areas of the house, it picks everything up, including toys and socks lol - and even after grabbing those it will not stop so beware =)

one of the things i love about this is that IF on the odd occasion it picks something up that you didn't want it too everything comes apart easily no fuss just a few clicks and it goes right back together - this was actually one of the buying points for us, other than the...

I have a thousand dollar plus THERMAX -- and hate it. Hastle putting it together, adding the water, dragging it around, water slops over, etc etc. BUT I have all this money invested so I kept on putting up with it. THEN ... along came my son with his DYSON. He has 3 dogs, got the "Pet Model" and kept bragging about how easy it was, and how awesome it worked, etc. etc. DYSON - DYSON - DYSON --- all he could rave about. But what about my Thermax? Mom - what about it. All you do is complain and I know you will love the DYSON. Finally last summer Tuesday Morning had clearance on the "Yellow Ball DYSON" ... Ok so it was still almost $ 200. but .... One hour later, and literally enough dirt coming out of my rug (that I had cleaned w/ Thermax) to plant a garden I was SOLD. Easy to dump the dirt - easy to operate - no mess, no fuss - and NO WATER. I wish I would of listened sooner. I still use the Thermax to purify the air -- BUT NO LONGER TO CLEAN. I...

This is an awesome vaccuum. I've had this DYSON (DC16) for about 3 months now and its got AMAZING suction...i've had cheap ones in the past and this one just cannot compare. I speak praises about it!!! I love it and its worth the extra $200 over average vacs. Comes with a 5 year warranyt!

We bought a Dyson vacuum after the professional carpet cleaning tech used his on our floors. We have several indoor cats and it was almost impossible to get all the cat hair off the rugs. After using the Dyson vacuum the color of the carpet started looking like it did when it was new. This Dyson has a very good vacuum power and picks up everything. Even cat littler that tends to get spread around. The handle is also detachable and can be used to get spiderwebs off the walls or ceiling as well as getting the little ledge on the floorboard. It is a bagless vacuum, and when it fills all you need to do is detach it from the vacuum, hold it over a garbage bag, and pull the ring. It drops out without you ever having to touch it, then you just set it down and it closes again. This is a very easy vacuum to use and works so well. If you have pets you should really consider this vacuum. The cost was about the same as other vacuums it's size and is well worth it.

Before I bought the Dyson I had another vaccum that didn't work as well as the Dyson. I was amazed at how much stuff the Dyson picked up off the floor even after using my old vaccum. I love that it is really easy to use around the house. I love vaccuming now because of the Dyson. It does not lose suction. It is also certified Asthma & Allergery Friendly, even though no one in my house has asthma it helps pick up all the little particles that bother my allergies. It is also really easy to empty, just release the container from the vaccum and press one button & it emptys out. It also has a Telescope Reach wand & hose that reach 17 feet for high reach & stair cleaning, while the vaccum remains upright and stable. I love that the Telescope reach wand reaches so high because it makes it very easy to clean really high ceilings & ceiling fans. When I bought this vaccum we got it on sale for $250.00 because the store was clearancing out the older models to make room for the new...

The DYSON VACUUM is overpriced for the quality of the machine and ease of use in comparison to others much cheaper on the market. It is very heavy, not easy to push around and the dust and lint are dificult to remove from way up in the canister. It's as good as most on pet hair that make such a claim, and does the job as well as most for household dust and dirt. I just do not find it budget effective when others are very competative on the market today.

After wanting a Dyson for a few years, I finally received one as a gift. The verdict? It's the the best vacuum we've ever owned! We've been through several vacuums. We have a dog, the dog sheds, I have long thick hair, I shed. Previous vacuums just couldn't handle all that hair. They either stopped sucking it up well, or just stopped working. The Dyson is a powerhouse at picking up hair, and dirt, and anything else you throw it's way. We vacuum once a week, and used to have to clean out the bag once every couple of months. With the Dyson, we have to clean it out EVERY time we vacuum. While this may sound like I'm complaining, I'm not. This is because the old vaccuum wasn't picking up anything! The Dyson picks up so much dirt and hair that it fills EVERY time! The only downside, the hose attachment is a little poorly designed, because the hose is part of the handle, making it a bit of a pain. Don't let it stop you from buying this amazing product though!

You would think after spending over $300 dollars for this vacuum you would barely have to touch it, that it would do everything with little to know work required. Boy is that wrong.

I probably would have been better off buying that robot vacuum. The main body works ok, for a $300 vacuum. The attachments do not hold their suction. It was very disappointing.

I had the vacuum for about 2 years before the suction just went on the attachments.

If you want to spend some money on a vacuum and actually reap the results get an Electrolux!...

I received my Dyson as a gift from a friend on my birthday. I loved it so much that I vacumed everywhere the very first day that I received it. It is the best gift that I have ever recieved. It is very easy to use and easy to empty, just push one button and lift out the container straight to the garbage and no filters to change. I can't believe the amount of dog hair that it picks up. It is very easy to change to the stick to reach the high place and behind the couch and the beds. It is also is easy to take apart when you vacum up a toy or sock. I would recommend this product to anyone who has kids and pets. This is the only vacum cleaner that I will ever buy.

We spent over $300 on our Dyson Yellow Bagless Vacuum. The vacuum did vacuum pretty well....nothing exceptional. I did like that the chamber where the dust ends up is easy to empty and I did like not having to buy bags.

What I did not like:

The under part of the vacuum that turns was ALWAYS clogged with hair! I had to use scissors to cut it off.

Things would often get trapped in the hoses and there for it would LOSE SUCTION.

I love that you can literally take then entire system apart and clean it with hot water! Only after doing this the hose ROTTED! Currently the hose is DUCT TAPED together!

When my son was putting the handle back into the upright position, a little piece didn't go into place correctly and broke off. That piece missing has rendered this vacuum useless as an upright. Everything it sucks up it now spits back at your feet! The only way this vacuum can be used now is to solely use the hose attachment. Because of this my Dyson is literally now a $300 CAR VAC ONLY!...

I was in search of a worthy vacuum for years and I have found it at last! This vacuum really sucks and is even GREAT at getting rid of all the cat hair on our curtains, couches and floors!!! The Dyson All Floors is definitely my new best friend and worth every penny! Sometimes it's so powerful it scares me! ;)

Seriously, I hated to vacuum. From unwinding the cord to pushing the loud thing around, i would rather pick up the obvious bits of dirt with my hands than drag the vacuum out. But when we got a Dyson, that changed. First off, how cool is it that you can *see* the dirt swirling around in the glass tube? Second, there are no bags to change, and the aforementioned glass tube is extremely easy to empty - so there's no excuse for not vacuuming because the bag is full. The Dyson is light and easy to push around - and it is super easy to switch from the regular vacuum mode to the attachment mode, which means i can do all of the surfaces at once. It picks up dirt so well, our carpets look brand new again - and I've used it to "sweep" the kitchen floor too - it does a better job than the broom, too, as there are no little lines where the dustpan meets the floor.

I admit I thought it was a little pricey when we picked it up, but we got it on sale, and Target was offering a free $50 gift card with......
