We bought this vacuum after our old one wasnt picking up all of the dog hair on the floor. I had heard so many good reviews about Dysons...so once I saw this one on sale I had to grab it up.

I am pleased with its performance. It has descent suction, a long reaching wand and hose, good attachments, lightweight, not too expensive when you keep an eye out for a deal and easy to empty. I do wish the chamber was a bit larger though...I have to empty mine about 4-5 times per use.

The suction could be a bit better. I do have to go over each area about 2 times to be sure everything is picked up...but it is a good, lasting vacuum.

I love my Dyson Animal because I had three dogs that lived in our home and dog hair galore! I used my Dyson once and you should have seen what it picked up. This vacuum will make your carpet look brand new again by picking up fiber and making your carpet stand again....

I purchased the Dyson Animal from a friend who was moving and it works wonders. I have two cats and it's very effective at cleaning up all the cat fur they leave behind. I lived in two separate apartments before purchasing my own home and in both cases, the landlords gave back our full security and pet deposits after they saw how well the vacuum worked. I highly recommend it to anyone with pets.

I love this machine. My first test with it was at my mother's house. She owned an Orek and swore by it. I used her vacuum first and then said now watch mine. After vacuuming the same area with the Dyson I picked up half a canister full of things the Orek missed. This was a regular large area rug. I finished vacuuming her house and emptied another two full canisters. I bought it because I loved the idea of not loosing suction while vacuuming. That problem plagued older models. I really liked the idea of the hepa-filter (which is very easy to clean). I also own a dog and a cat so this was the right machine to take on the job of cleaning up their fur. The cord is really long so you don't have to plug and unplug as much. The hose is really long too. A function that scared me the first time it happened is really nice as well; if you suck up something in the brush head and it is stuck the machine makes a really awful noise but it is preventing the item from continuing to get sucked in....

I have owned my Dyson for about 2 years now. I have 3 dogs which 2 are labs, and boy do they shed. When I read about the Dyson 14 animal, my first thought was, finally, something to help me with all this dog hair. It does a fantastic job.

The Dyson Vacuum (Animal DC14) is quite expensive for a vacuum...as are all the Dyson products. I have to say I get quite a bit of satisfaction seeing the massive amounts of dog hair that swirls through the vacuum as I'm using it. Even when there hasn't been a lot of days since I last vacuumed. It has a lot of suction and seems to pick up a lot of dog hair. Although, I have never used a bag-less system before, so I'm not sure if it's better or not. Also, if you have some dirt spilled on the floor or dust, it picks that up very well. Leaves a clean line over where you have been and where you still need to vacuum. That is also satisfying. The one thing I have been continuously surprised about though is that it doesn't seem to pick up much that is bigger than a piece of dirt. Say you have a very small sticker (that is not sticky anymore) laying on the floor...or a piece of paper. I will frequently have to go over such objects multiple times before it has been sucked up. ...

The Dyson Animal is definitely worth the price. It is amazing what it picks up. I used my upright Eureka vacuum and then vacuumed the same area with the Dyson Animal and it picked up a lot of remaining dust and dirt.

I have a White German Shepherd that sheds constantly and this is the only vacuum that could pick up all the hair. It is actually fun to empty the container after vacuuming and view everything picked up.

The container is very easy to empty and requires no vacuum cleaner bags. The attachments conveniently hook up to the vacuum and do not get in the way. The hose and the cord are extremely long so they reach very far.

I will never buy another brand of vacuum cleaner other than a Dyson. I could not live without it.

In our 18 years of marriage, we have been looking for the perfect vacuum clearner. We tried top of the line by competitors, but it was not until we bought the Dyson Vacuum - Dyson Animal - DC14 that we found our match in cleaning crumbs and dust. It is awesome, easy to use, doesn't require great strength. The accessories are well designed and suitable to the task at hand -- from cleaning under beds, behind shelves, to dusting blinds. It does an amazing job on carpets, hardwood floors and tiles in picking up all specks of dirt and dust.

I love this vacuum except it is very heavy and I have a 2-storey house. I have 6 animals inthe house and between their hair and my long hair it does get messy. Suction power is very strong and cleaning the canister is easy. It came with several attachments, such as stair cleaner which I don't like much but I guess they're useful. I recommend this vacuum as I have had over 20 vacuumsin the past 15 years and this has been the best.

We use this vacuum at my work. A coworker convinced my boss that this was the most wonderful vacuum in the world. We've had it now for almost 2 years, and I hate it. It worked well at first, but now it hardly sucks up any of the dust or dirt on the floor. We use it to vacuum a very small shop 5 days a week. The filter gets clogged too quickly, and as soon as it clogs up the entire machine stops picking up anything else. It takes 24 hours to let the filter dry after cleaning, which makes it difficult for us since we need it almost every day. The machine is now having problems coming apart to even empty the waste out of it, and I needed a customer to help me pry the thing open one day. Maybe it works well for light home cleaning, but for anyone who likes cleaning the house a couple days a week, this is definitely not the right vacuum.

The Dyson Animal is a fabulous product! After hearing person after person rave about these vacuum cleaners, I leaped on a chance to buy one at an employee discount from a co-worker. I received my vacuum quickly and was instantly pleased. It literally cleans up every bit of dust on the floor. Even when we think a room is fairly clean after doing a visual scan of the room, the filled up canister (there is no bag) reveals all the dust, dirt, and hair that our eyes had missed. The ball feature for maneuvering the Dyson Animal is amazing and makes it much easier to get around furniture and makes vacuuming much easier. Even my 5 year old son can help vacuum with this machine! The negatives of this device are the weight of the machine and the cord which seems to get in the way often. It would be really helpful if the Dyson had a retractable cord feature instead of needing to manually wind it up after each use.

My Dyson vacuum cleaner is the best. I am the owner of two dogs a Chow Chow and a Samoyed. Bothe of these dogs have long coats that love to shed 365 days a year. My house is all tile and wood floors except for the occasional throw rug. My Dyson picks up every week enough fur to make me a floor length coat. The suction from the Dyson never stops. I like the fact that the Dyson is a bagless vacuum cleaner, and that when you empty the canister you do not have to touch the contents of what is inside the canister. The tools that my Dyson came with are also great they do a great job removing fur from the furniture and curtains. My house would be one big fur pile if I did not have the Dyson. I have used other vaccums before and none even come close to the Dyson. The Dyson may be pricey but I have had mine for 3 years now and with the other brands I had to buy a new one every year. This was the best investment ever. I would recommend this especially for pet owners.

The only downside is when I forget to wash the main filter. This picks up everything. I use it on carpets & hard floors. Use the Bed Bath & Beyond coupons to save over $100 on it! Worth every penny.

I purchased this vacuum several years ago after a few coworkers raved about theirs. Though they are a bit my husband and I found a really good deal at Sears and decided to go ahead and buy it. I had just vacuumed our house with our old vacuum so I decided to see if this one picked up more. I had to empty the canister twice in the hallway alone. It was both amazing and gross. Our old vacuum was hardly doing anything. This vacuum has amazing suction and picks up a lot of dirt. I love that the cord is so long, I just plug it in and I can vacuum on whole floor of my house (a 2 story 2400 sq ft). I love the hose and how far I can reach with it, I can reach my 9 foot ceilings. I also never sweep anymore, I just flip it to bare floors and vacuum instead. Downside is the weight and thats it. It is very heavy hauling it up and down the stairs but I still wouldn't give it up because of that.

I have been running a small house cleaning business for 5 years and have tried all kinds of different vacuums. A few of my clients have dyson vacuums and I am appalled they payed $500 dollars for this piece of junk. For starters its really heavy and hard to lug around so forget about trying to clean stairs with it. The attachments are a joke: the the hose isn't very flexible and doesn't stretch very far. I actually had the hose snap back on me once because I had stretched it too far (less than 2 feet mind you) and it hit me in the face! Also, its important to note that not being able to use the attatchments properly is a big problem for this vacuum since its enormous size makes it impossible to vacuum under most furniture meaning you will be using the attachments frequently. I also have a huge problem with bagless vacuums in general and this one is no better than any of the others I have tried. I found myself having to constantly empty the cannister which is time consuming and very gross......
