I like the size of this dyson vaccum cleaner because it fits conveniently into my hall closet. It is light enough so that my back is hurting by the time I finish vacuuming my entire house. This vacuum works well on all floor types. It also came with a few attachments to help do the woodwork, vents and furniture in my home. I like that it's bagless which saves money on buying bags. It's easy to clean out the dirt container without too much effort or mess. The only thing I don't like about it is that it does not fit under low surfaces such as furniture or under cabinets. I have to pull off the hose attachments to get those areas clean. This is not a difficult process but it is a pain to pull out the hose in each room as I go around the house from room to room cleaning. I've had this vacuum for about 5 years and had to have it repaired one time this past year. The original price wasn't too bad either.

She's a pricey little piece of machinery, but she's worth every penny. We have two dogs and a mix of hardwood floors and carpeting and I have to say this vacuum stands up to each surface without any problems. Not even the dog hair and dirt dragged in stands a chance.

I've compared it against other vacuums that I've had in the past, and there really just isn't a comparison. The only real downfall, other than that hefty price tag, is that it's a slightly cumbersome on stairs. The hose and stair attachment are a little bit awkward to wield. I've tried starting at the top and starting at the bottom of the stairs and it just doesn't seem to make a difference. Hopefully on Dyson's new models they'll resolve this problem some how.

But, if you're in the market for a vacuum that is easy to use, picks up virtually anything and is manueverable, even under tables and beds, well, this is the little machine that you want.

The Dyson DC 18 vacuum is the best vacuum I have ever witnessed. This machine was used after a Hoover was used on a floor several times. I had a sheltie collie and as I said used a hoover vacuum several times after I had given the Collie away.. Well the Dyson picked up collie hair in abundance. This machine is amazing. It is so quiet and picks up hair that was left after multiple vacuuming with the old Hoover. What a surprise to see all the hair the Hoover never picked up. This Dyson is a great great vacuum. I still do not believe what a splendid job this quiet machine does.

I love my Dyson. Wish I had bought one years ago. The slim fits practically anywhere. It is the best vaccuum I have ever used.

I have several friends that own a Dyson vacuum and all of them raved about it. I really wanted one but wasn't sure that I would want to pay that much for a vacuum cleaner. I finally found a deal that was affordable for me and I cannot remember that last time I was this excited about something! I got the DC18 slim model which is perfect for my two bedroom condo. The amount of stuff that this Dyson vacuum is pulling up out of my carpet makes me wonder if my previous vacuum was doing anything at all! I use all if the attachments and am even considering purchasing other attachements! I love this vacuum! It is worth every penny!...

I wanted to buy a Dyson, but they are so big and clunky and heavy that I just knew I couldn't maneuver one. I have been using an 8 lb Oreck which is very easy to push around, but I was beginning to have my doubts as to how much dirt it was picking up.

When I saw the smaller, lighter Dyson DC18 on sale at Tuesday Morning I decided to give it a try. That was over a month ago, and I am still getting junk left behind out of my carpets. I have 3 cats, so there is a lot of cat hair to contend with and eventhough this is the smaller version, it is just amazing what it picks up. It is still a little heavy for me, but it's managable. My carpets never looked better, this thing really has some suction. I also like that I can immediately see what goes in, and it's rather easy to clean the plastic see-through tunnel.

I don't really use the attachments, so could do without the extra weight or cumbersomness of the attachments in the handle. Also, I would prefer the on/off switch to be at...

my old vacumn died and my son suggested i buy this instead of cheap vacumn and i am so glad i did. i would buy another dyson. it works. the attachement stay in place. easy. my son will even vacumn sometimes "to show me how to do it."...

The Dyson DC18 is undoubtelty the best vacuum we have ever owned. Light and easy to use with incredible pickup. A little pricey but worth the extra money...

This Dyson cleans every floor and fits easily in my small space. I love the way it looks and cleans my home. I'm a college student with two dogs, and this cleans every mess, big or small!! And since I am living alone in a small one bedroom house, space is limited, so it is very nice that it stores easily. And the colors are great, too!...

I have a Dyson DC18 Slim Vacuum and think it is the best lightweight vacuum ever. Tried the larger Dyson but with my back problems it was not convenient for me. This lightweight works excellent and best of all, doesn't affect my back problems. Great product, highly recommend....

I bought this for my apartment because I started having allergies. I was impressed by the amount of dirt it picked up. I decided to test it and took it to my mom's house where she has a cat that is always shedding. We used her regular vacuum first and did a 2 ft x 2 ft sqare of carpeting. We actually did it twice to make sure it's really clean. Then, we used the Dyson (with an empty canister) and went over the same patch of carpet. You wouldn't believe how much dust, lint and what I assume is dander came out of the little patch that we did.

Although they are pricey, I think they are well worth the price. I don't think I'll ever buy another brand again!

I am so very happy with my dyson. It picks up dirt I didnot know was there. The rug texture feels like new after cleaning with my dyson. It is light weight, easily stored in my closet and I find it very handy and easy to use. I vaccuum at least once a day, I have a cat and a husband what more can I say?...

I am a mom of 2 who works full time so I don't have alot of time to get things done. At home I have 2 dogs and 2 cats so I am constantlycleaning up after pets. The Dyson Slim is wonderful its light, fits into small spaces for easy storage and has great suction. I was amazed at even the tiniest dust particles it picked up. I even used My old Kirby which i thought was good and the Dyson was still pulling up dirt and dust out of my carpet. Its bagless so I do not have to buy bags which is a big plus. The compartment that holds the dust is very easy to pull out and it realses all the dirt into the trashcan with one push of a button. (I do reccomend emptying this outside so dust does fly around your house)

The one thing that would make this product perfect is if it didn't have a tendency to fall over if you don't place it upright just right. Overall though I give this product 2 thumbs up!

I have been through 2 vacuums in the last 5 years. I finally spent the money on a Dyson and I am so happy that I did it! The vacuum has suction like I have never seen in another vacuum. It is also a smaller size than other vacuums, but none of the quality has been sacrifced. There are no bags or belts or filters to change. It is easy to use and the best vacuum I have ever owned.

I have had my dyson for about 4 months now, and I am crazy about it. It has not clogged, yet, although I have been warned about it. It seems easy to unclog, though. It is pretty gross to see what comes off of my floor ever couple of days. I rotate this with my roomba. We have 2 dogs and my floors have to be cleaned each day. I normally empty the container after doing each floor and it is full. I am very glad we finally shelled out the money. It is way worth it!...
