We were going to buy the DC07, but decided the DC25 was worth the upgrade....boy, were we right!!!
The main clencher is the ease of using the attachment tools, with the DC25, you just extend the telescoping pole, and, voila! you're ready to go!{the DC07 requires plugging/unplugging to use the attachment tools} I found myself attacking every corner and groove with specks of dirt/cobwebs in it (LOVE this thing for cleaning the ac intake grates and the fins of our air filters!)...most of them without ever having to bend over.
Of course there is the fantastic suction, but then, you expect that from Dyson's reputation...it was disgusting what it got out of our carpet (we have no pets, no kids, and don't wear shoes in the house; I vacuum very regularly, anyways) the first time.
If you don't think you'll use the attachment/tools much, the cheaper models might work for you, but if you appreciate being able to easily attack the tiny corners and grooves no upright can fit into, you're probably dreaming...
...

andrealoans says "The Dyson Animal is an animal!" about Dyson DC25 Vacuum

I love my Dyson Animal Vacuum! I never have a loss of suction and that says a lot because we have 4 kids, 2 dogs and other small animals that we clean up after. My daughter and I have long hair so every so often I do flip it over and clean off the roller brushes on the bottom, but I have had to do that with any vacuum we owned. It came with a hard floor attachment, a brush attachment and crevice tool. We use them all! My only complaints would be that the hard floor tool does not attach to the vacuum when not in use and because we are always vacuuming up lots of people and dog hair that sometimes it gets stuck around the top of the canister....I am sure that is probably my fault for not stopping and cleaning it out more often. The canister holds a good amount but I do not always empty it. Sometimes it can be difficult to retract the wand, which drops down into the hose , and I think sometimes the hose compresses when it is on and so I sometimes have to turn off the vacuum to retract the...
...

sunnybabi1986 says "Best on the market--LOVE IT!" about Dyson DC25 Vacuum

My husband and I did a lot of research after we realized our Bissel vacuum wasn't actually picking up anything in our carpet. We finally decided on the Dyson DC25 and I think it was one of the best decisions we've ever made. This vacuum is amazing. I vaccumed twice with our Bissel and then I pulled out our new Dyson to see what it could do. I was so shocked to see the canister on the Dyson fill up completely with dust, hair, and junk after only vacuuming half of the living room.

The first time I vacuumed with the Dyson, I had to empty the canister 6 times to get the house clean. This was due to the fact that our previous vaccum apparently had NOT been cleaning our floors for 2 years. This Dyson picked up things that had been ground into the carpet for years. Not only did our carpets look brighter, they also smelled better.

The Dyson DC25 is so easy to manuever, it's actually fun to vacuum. Sounds funny, but it's true. I vacuum every day now, simply because I can see what's being picked...
...

The Dyson DC25 is the best vacuum cleaner I ever used and I have used many vacuum cleaners as I used to be in the janitorial business. The Dyson DC25 ball design is the most clever and ingenious ever on a vacuum. Until I used the Dyson DC25 I had always thought that it could not be any different from the traditional four fixed wheels standard design. Boy was I wrong. Instead of having to stop constantly to move things out of the way now i can just glide under or around them. The Dyson DC25 has a 5 year warranty if you ever need it. It also has root cyclone techonolgy that sucks at a constant 220 air watts. I also love the lifetime washable hepa filter on it the only way you have to replace it is if it falls apart. It was a fingertip brush control to switch between hard and carpet floors. The Dyson DC25 had a quick release telescopic wand for stairs and hard to reach areas. The power cord is alittle under 25 ft and weighs a little less than 17 pds. All in all i can not...
...

This vacumn is the most fabulous thing that has ever happened to me. We have two indoor pets at my house and it picks up all the pet hair on every floor surface iny my house, carpet or tile. I will never buy another type of vacumn after owning a Dyson. I would recommend them to anyone with children and pets they leave a lot of debris behind on your floors. I bought the vacumn several years ago, I wanna say about three years ago, and havent had a single problem with it. It is kinda pricy, but it makes up for it in quality. You never have to have it repaired and you never have to buy bags for it. It also has easy to use features where you can reach hard to reach places and easy emptying. My three young kids all love it and can use it with ease. My whole family loves to use it, it makes house cleaning much simpler and shorter. The high price was definitely worth it to me because they stick behind the quality of thier products.
...

I tried many vacummes even really expencive ones. I never was happy. One was too heavy and always broke. One was junk and you couldn't tell when I had used it! I am a member of Costco and they are great with returns so I bought a vacumme ther to try, hated it and returned it. This went on for about two months when the lady at Costco said to me " I rented every vacumme that we sell at Costco before I finally bought a Dyson- I love it and have never looked back." Well what the hay I can try the Dyson. It was love at first try. When my daughter got married I bought her one to. The vacumme is user freindly-on board tools, light to push, no bags, my hands don't get dirty when I empty the dirt bin. And their customer service is wonderful. My son clogged the machine and I couldn't reach the clogg, not to worry one 800 number later and a very patient representitve and the machine was as good as new.
...

Dyson's are worth every penny! I suffer from severe dust and mold allergies as well at cats too. Of course I found all of this out after we had out beloved pets-I always thought I had chronic sinus infections. Because it's impossible to live in a bubble, I needed to keep theair in my home as allergen free as possible so I bought a Dyson. Yes, it is heavy and can be a pain to remove the hose to add attachments but the air is instantly cleaner as you vacuum and it will suck up dirt and pet hair like nothing else! It has a really long cord so you won't have to stop and pull it in overand over as you go from room to room. I love the fact that you don't need expensive bags and it comes with an excellent warranty as well. Theball makes it easy t glide this vacuum around, however it is impossble to get under a couch and chairs and even a bedunless you switch to an attachment. I have not had allergy issues at home since I bought the Dyson at HSN on easy pay (it was the cheapest...
...

The The Dyson DC25 is the most powerful easy moving vacuum there is. The Dyson DC25 sits on a ball and this allows it's user to maneuver the vacuum easily throughout your house. This vacuum also had patented technology that prevents it from loosing suction power. The Dyson DC25 works on any floor type, and comes with special attachments that are perfect for cleaning the stairs, there is also a long attachment that is perfect for cleaning on high surfaces and curtains. The filter on the Dyson DC25 is removable and re-washable, so you will not waste any money on buying more filters. I ordered my Dyson DC25 on-line and I received free shipping. It also came with a 5 year warranty, although I haven't had any problems with my vacuum. In comparison to other vacuums you save a lot of money because you don't have to replace filters, vacuum bags, and belts. I love my Dyson DC25 and I know you will too.
...

I have never owned a Vacuum as amazing as the Dyson DC25 Animal. It has the ball technology so it moves around corners great, and is lightweight. I have two dogs and I have never seen my carpet so clean. As soon as we got the vacuum we cleaned a patch of carpet and picked up so much dog hair. And the Wand reaches very high so I can vacuum dust bunnies that are out of my reach.

My experience with the Dyson DC25 is extensive. I use it to clean up after three kids, two dogs, and two cats. It has great suction and rolls easily. It is also lightweight and easy to empty. The attachments are attached to the main vacuum providing easy accessibility. I am extremely disappointed though with its capability to get in and around furniture. Its swivel head exists for the sole purpose of getting in hard to reach places, but I find I always have to get on my hands and knees when I am finished vacuuming to get all the dirt that it has missed. That is why I rate it an average vacuum. It has done nothing to impress me.
...

BettyBoop says "I am in love with my Dyson DC25 Animal vacuum!" about Dyson DC25 Vacuum

Yes, it is expensive but it's well worth it! I recommend the Dyson DC25 Animal Ball vacuum without reservation. I recommend getting the ball version, it makes vacuuming almost effortless.

I've owned a lot of vacuums over the years and this is the best ever. It's light-weight, ridiculously easy to use, and best of all it - it actually picks up pet hair. I love the telescoping wand built into the handle and how easy it is to empty the dust bin.

I have a bad back and two dogs that shed like crazy. I used to hate vacuuming because the vacuum was heavy, clunky, and no matter how often I used it I was never really satisfied with the result. The day I brought this vacuum home I filled half of a 30-gallon trashcan full of pet hair and dirt - one day after vacuuming the same space with my old vacuum! I've only had it for two months but if it continues to function this well it will be worth every penny.

Buy it - you won't be sorry.
...

I have wanted a Dyson ever since they first came out, but when I went to a store to look at them, it was so heavy I would need one for each level of my house and not enough closet space to store them.

This is under 12 pounds, fits easily in a closet, and is so light it's very easy to carry up stairs. I'll admit I'm not a fan of cleaning but being a female engineer I certainly appreciate well-designed products. This one has many clever features. The cleaning head is low-profile, so it easily hugs floor boards under kitchen cabinets (huge plus!). The ball design is incredibly inventive and so easy to use. It's like the difference hauling a suitcase around that has weels that go in only one direction vs. the new ones with pivot wheels - makes SO much sense and doesn't hurt my back to use it.

Cleaning power is great! It isn't especially labelled for pet hair cleanup, but does a great job. I cleaned once with my old vaccuum, then filled this Dyson up with a 2nd run through. I was amazed at how...
...

I have been married for almost 8 years now I have 3 children ages 6, 4, and 3. We also have a huge black lab that is a harry beast. She leaves hair every where. I had always bought other brands of vacuum's that would boast stronger engines and better suctions larger heads for better pick up and all of them would give out after just a short time. I even had one vacuum that would throw all the dirt up into a little shelf and when I shut it off it would all come falling back out. So after 7 years my husband made me go buy a Dyson DC25 Animal Ball Upright Vacuum. This is the best vacuum on earth. It has all the tools built in. the hose is easy to just pull out use and put back without flipping any switch. The ball is a great invention I can turn it with just a twist of my wrist and when you are holding a child on one hip it is a must. I have yet to have it ever lose suction either. They send me emails to tell me when to clean my filters. Which those filters have a lifetime...
...
