The trail of mediocre vacuums seeking a dump truck has been rather long for my family. We try to involve the entire family in our "fairly clean house" policy. This has policy has lent itself to numerous complaints if the vacuum cleaner is not up to snuff. This dyson almost makes cleaning a joy in our household. I know, this seems preposterous, but their have been near fights over trying to get dust bunnies with the extension hose stretching at least 2 1/2 to 3 yards. This is wonderful for quickly getting those spider webs and hanging dust strands that crop up unexpectedly in corners and on ceilingfixtures. Access to this phenomenal length is with the touch of a single button. The suction on this is also amazing. Suction was barely noticeable on many of our discarded vacuums, but this dyson does not disappoints. You are able to clean quickly and efficiently whether it be carpeting, bare floors, stairs, or crevices. There is a simple dial to turn for carpeting and flooring; also a button...

My husband purchased a Dyson DC17 for me and I hate it! It has pretty good suction on the carpeting, but emtying the nasty, dusty container always causes me to start coughing. The DC17 is for people with asthma and allergies.....not so much! If you have someone else empty the container then I guess you're not going to be exposed to all the dust.

The cleaning wand is useless for anything but high ceiling cleaning or cleaning hardwood floors. Even at that, it's difficult to use and awkward. I tried to clean my blinds and because the wand is so long and inflexible, I could only clean the upper portion. When I got to the lower area, it was unable to bend to that level. Maybe half clean is okay in the Dyson book, but not in mine.

When I opened the box and set it up, I could see that it wasn't going to be something I could use. I immediately phoned the Dyson people and they said I couldn't send it back without paying for the shipping (about $60) and a $100 restalking fee. ...

I bought the Dyson Vacuum about 4 years ago. It is the best vacuum I have ever owned. It picks up everything and is easy to use. I had a couple of problems, called the customer service number and was walked through a fix easily. The problem was the user not the machine. I now want the Dyson Ball.

DO not BUY a Dyson! I used a DYSON DC14 on my carpet and it literally chewed the carpet and left "hair" all over my loop carpet and places where I stopped to move the cord it chewed down into the carpet and left ragged marks the width and length of the beater bar. I have addressed this issue with DYSON and the BBB and they are not willing to stand behind the product. If you value your floor DO NOT BUY A DYSON!!! Oh and DYSON's response was their vacuums tend to be agressive on some types of flooring. Maybe they should say that in their advertising?

This is the best thing around sence sliced cheese. The day I got it I went all around my house and cleaned everything from top to bottom. That includes the ceiling, walls, floors. I cleaned on top of all three entertainment centers that we have. I cleaned all the rooms in my house. Every sufface of my house has been touched by it. I told my friend about it and she wanted to borrow it so I let her. She did the same thing. I also have a carpet cleaner and when I used to clean my floors the water would be black and now it is still dirty but not black. One of the other things that I love about it is that it cleans the air while you vacume. It does not put dust back in the air which makes it healthier for your family.

I love the cleaning power of my Dyson. It's designed for all floors so I can easily go from carpet or rugs to my wood floors.

We have 2 cats and a dog as well as two people in the house with allergies. I was constantly looking for a vacuum that would remove the pet hair and dander as well as the normal dust and dirt. After having gone through several vacuum cleaners and not being satisfied with any of them, a dear friend gave me a Dyson dyson DC 14 upright vacuum. I love it! This vacuum not only picks up everything on the carpet but also easily transitions to my tile and hardwood floors. It's amazing how much it picks up!

The machine is lightweight enough to easily handle and it's so convenient having all of the attachments right on the vacuum. The ease of empting the collection is a real plus. I don't feel like I'm dumping all of the dust, dirt and pollen right back into the air. I love that there are not a lot of filters that have to constantly be cleaned and replaced. I know I'll have this vacuum for many years. I had considered purchasing this product before receiving it as a gift but hesitated due...

I love my Dyson! This vacuum has been the best at picking up dog hair, dirt and dust. I have never had any problems with it at all and it has been used almost daily for two years now! I live with three dogs and two cats that all shed constantly, along with a husband who is allergic to all. This vacuum has been the best! I have had canisters, uprights, Central vacuums and a Roomba but my Dyson is, by far, the best. I vacuum on an almost daily basis. This machine just keeps on going. For 2 plus years now it has cleaned up after my family. Not once have I had to have it repaired or even trouble shoot a problem! With the attachments I can get the whole flight of stairs, reach heat vents up high and go under low lying furniture. The fact that it is bagless is also a great feature. No more "doggy" smell coming from the bag! After I vacuum I just dump the canister and that's that. Also, you never discover that you are out of bags! If this dependable machine should...

We first bought our Dyson Animal about 4 years ago when we first installed Carpet in the upstairs of our home. I have 4 cats and I have never had a vacum cleaner to pick up as good as my dyson. The only downside is it is a heavy vacum cleaner. This si one vacum cleaner that never looses it suction unless you get something caught on it like a throw rug.

I have even put my Dyson up agains my mother's Oreck and it picks up better than an Oreck. The salesman at Best Buy was very good at demostrating how well the vacum works and how to use each tool to go with it.

Another Wonderful feature to this vacum cleaner is the carpet shampoo. It is a handy way to keep your carpets smelling fresh and clean with a dry cleaner.

I can say that this vacum cleaner is worth the money you pay for it. If I ever have to get another vacum cleaner it would be another Dyson.

The features that sold us on our Dyson was you didn't have to deal with bags and the ease of just pulling the handle and out comes everything....

I got this vacuum 2 years ago and it works just as good as it did day one! I have 2 cats and a ever sheding Lab. I have not bought a single part for this machine. No belt, no filters, nothing. I had a problem with the vacuum once. It wasn't picking up as well as usual. I simply called the 800 number, talked with an actual person from America and they resolved my problem in less than 5 min. One of the seals had come loose. I fixed it with my hand and has been working excellent ever since.

Thanks Dyson. I can now wear black pants in my house again without getting pet hair all over.

The Dyson upright DC 14 vacuum really is an amazing product. I have lived in a house with all hardwood floors, and with all carpets, and this vacuum can tackle each with great performance. I love how you don't have to worry about attachments, and you can just pull the extention out of the handle to clean up in corners, or up high.

It might sound like a lot of money to purchase one, but I think it is well worth it. Just clean it regularly and you will not loose suction!
