FOUR years later and this baby is just as awesome as the day I brought her home! I have NEVER needed maintenance, never needed to replace a part, never needed to buy a bag...I have literally never put a DIME into this vacuum, and she just keeps giving and giving. What a trooper!

The Dyson is pricey - no doubt. But for anyone with children, animals or (um hmm) a hubby, it's so necessary. The DC07, though not the "Animal" does a fine job of picking up after a child, a hubby, a Border Collie and a Maine Coon cat (both black). We have ceramic tile, hardwood and carpet in my house - it does a wonderful job on all floors. Add a few attachments and the upholstery looks new. I love this vacuum for cleaning stairs - the attachments are SO cool! You can say I have a bit of a Dyson obsession. Despite my DC07's perfect performance, I WANT THE BALL!!!

That is the only downside to the 07 - a bit heavy without the manuverability that the Dyson Ball can brag about.

Otherwise, I LOVE it!!!

I never enjoyed vacuuming until I received the Dyson DC O7 vacuum. I have had it for almost two years and have never had a problem. It's easy to clean there are no bags to worry about. I love how well it works and that you can see that it's working. After I vacuum I am always amazed by how much it picks up. I also love that it's yellow and if you've seen the trasformer 2 movie you'll see that it becomes a transformer. Which my kids loved. My four year old calls it his bumblebee vacuum. I bought mine a while ago and paid four hundred for it at the time I thought it was well worth it but now I see them selling it for much less. So if you don't have one yet your missing out on a great deal. My mother has the purple one that is made for animal owners and she loves hers just as much as I do.

Love the Dyson I have! Although it is not the yellow version of this product, it does the job wonderfully. My vacuum is actually blue and purple--love the colors!

It makes tha air smell wonderful! There is always a clean feeling in the air and you can sense the clean air quality this vacuum provides when using it!

The suction is wonderful--my Dyson has never lost suction since I got it over 3 years ago!

It is easy to navigate; however, you must hold the cord out of the way for ease of use.

It is extremely easy to empty, too. The "dirt chamber" is easy to remove, but just be sure to hold it over a trash can before emptying it or there could be a great mess!

It is great for picking up air--human or pet--and remining intact when doing so. I have not experienced any unpleasant odor with this feature as I have in the past with other vacuums.

The Dyson is a high quality product that is worth every penny when investing in a vacuum!

I had a Dyson DC 07 for about a year at first it was a great vaccum, it worked on everything and my house was looking much better than it had in a long time. Then I discovered the filter and that it had to be changed ocassionally. That vaccum would pick up almost anything as long as the filter was in good shape. But in a house with 3 kids and 2 dogs you can imagine that the filter went through a lot of problems. After about 13 months the motor on the vaccum froze. So I called Dyson, after being on hold for a very long time, it ended up they would not repair it without charging a ton of money and they offered to upgrade it but once again wanted alot of money. When my family gets a little smaller I might considery buying another Dyson, but until the kids are away in college I think it is best to stick with the vaccum I have now. For families with only one or two kids and no animals it would probably be a wonderful vaccum, but for our family it just didn't work out :(

We have a rainbow vacuum before we got the Dyson 07 vacuum on amazon. It is the best, user friendly vacuums we've had. It is worth the money spent on it. I highly recommend it to all my friends who are looking for quality vacuum that is user friendly. I've compared it to cleaning with our rainbow vacuum, which is not only time consuming to set up but I am pleasantly surprised that after running the rainbow on the carpet and then followed it with the Dyson, it still took a lot of dirt off the carpet. I am satisfied with the performance of this Dyson.

I got a Dyson about 2 1/2 years ago. While this vacuum is a good vacuum, it is not the greatest vacuum ever. My friends have ranted and raved about their Dyson vacuums and swore by them that they were the best things since sliced bread. So when I needed a vacuum, of course I chose the Dyson. I like the fact that it does not have a bag that you have to change, however you do have to empty the cylinder quite often. In addition the cylinder where the dirt collects can be quite dusty and needs to be wiped out every so often as well. I do have to admit that the Dyson does a good job picking up the dirt but I am afraid to say that it does it better than other vacuum brands. I have three kids and have to vacuum quite a bit, so my Dyson does the trick but I went to a friends house and was using her vacuum and it did just as good a job as mine. So all in all, if you cannot afford a Dyson, then go with another good bagless vacuum and you will be fine!!!!

When my old vaccum quit working I decided to invest in a better one, instead of constantly purchasing the cheapest one and having to replace it in six months to a year. I had heard about the Dyson vaccums and how great they were so I decided to invest in one. I haven't been sorry since. I am a busy mom and the Dyson saves me a lot of time because I don't have to keep going over the floor to make sure it gets good and clean. I can go over it once and tell that the Dyson vaccum is doing it's job and getting the floor good and clean. The feature that allows the user to switch from carpet to flooring with just a quick switch makes it an even better investment. No more sweeping, which always leaves a little of dirt behind no matter how many times I sweep. The Dyson vaccum cleans my flooring just as well as it cleans my carpet and it's so easy to use that I actually have time to use it on my entire home every day. It makes me feel like my house is much cleaner which makes keeping...

Does an excellent job cleaning. Not recommended if you have stairs, very heavy vaccum. Love it overall but would have loved a lighter machine....

I have had several different vacuums over the years. Everything from inexpensive to very expensive, even central vacuum. As I have gotten older it has become harder to push a vacuum and the Dyson DC07 for all floors has been the easiest to use of all that I have ever had. It is very light weight for a full size vacuum.

It is also easy to empty and you don't have to deal with trying to find the bags in the stores. It never gets plugged up as you can easily see when it is full and you simply slip the plastic container off of the vacuum and empty it with a flick of the finger into the trash.

I have both hardwood and carpeted floors in my home and use this Dyson at least once or twice a week as I have two dogs running in an out. It does a good job on both the carpet and hardwood floors although I think slightly longer bristles on the brush of the vacuum would be more effective on the hardwood floors.

Replaced a Hoover windtunnel upright with this dyson 07. First of all this is not self-propelled and rather heavy to push. You would think a vacuum with a pricetag of over $300 would have this feature. Also there is an awful lot of plastic. Cord length is a nice 22 foot. Hose disconnect in order to use attachments is rather cumbersome. I miss having a floor brush attachment that most uprights have. The dyson only has a lever on the base to select carpet or bare floors and the bare floor setting doesn't get as much dust as a brush. Emptying the canister is a very messy procedure and should only be done outdoors as fine dust and lint particles fly everywhere. All in all I wouldn't buy another dyson.

I bought my Dyson 07 in the spring of 2007, and so far I am pretty happy with it. It seems to pick up dust, dirt and hair well, and is easy to discard what I have vacuumed up without needing to use bags. All you do have to do is open 1 compartment and dump out everything in it, eliminating the need for any bags. I have noticed that sometimes it does not always pick up everything off the floor well, and that usually means the part on the bottom (I think it's called the roller) needs to be cleaned and get rid of the hair that gets clogged in it. This needs to be done on your own maybe once a month.

I also do notice a lot of excess dust as I am dumping the stuff out, but I always wash my hands after doing that and make sure I do not touch my nose, since I suffer from dust allergies.

My other complaint is that it is hard to reach corners with the vacuum as it is so big and square and bulky, and it would be easier if it came with some smaller attachments for those hard to reach areas.

I have had the Dyson CD07 vacuum cleaner for almost 5 years now and I love it! Before I bought my Dyson, I had to buy and new vacuum almost every year it seemed. They would work great at first, and them after a few months, the stopped cleaing well. The Dyson is amazing, it works as well today as the day I bought it. I has settings for both carpet and bare floors. I have carpet, tile and hardwoods in my house and it works well on all three. The cleaning power is amazing, it never clogs either. It is super easy to clean, you just press a button and the container holding the dust pops right out. I just take mine outside to the big garbage can, press the lever and boom, all the collected dust falls out with no mess! The other parts are easily pulled out and you can actually clean them in the sink, just run water thru them and let them dry out. I would totally recomend the Dyson vacuum cleaners to everyone. They work great, are easy to use and last forever.

Five years ago my mother asked me what I wanted for a wedding present. It took only a moment to come up with an answer, I wanted the Dyson DC07. It was the one thing I really wanted. The reason for this was that my husband and I had been through three vacuums recently and I was hoping to end the cycle. No vacuum could handle all of the dog fur from our two dogs without making the vacuum itself permanently smelly. We would empty the bags, use deodorizer and clean the vacuums regularly but nothing helped. Every time we vacuumed the whole house would have that awful smell. All of that changed the day I got my Dyson. Who would think I would fall in love with a vacuum?! It works like a dream. It's so easy to use, all of the tools are on the unit, there is no bag to empty and it never has that awful vacuum smell. My Dyson has been through a lot over the years, two kids, three dogs and several moves and it is still as great as it was the day it was delivered. It has outlasted even my husband....

my dyson o7 original vacumm cleaner was bought when I was having a hard time getting bags for my other vacuum. It is nice to see when the canister needs to be emptyed and there is not the smell the bags hold. you empty the canister and it can be washed out. this elliminates oders. the Dyson also picks up alot of my dogs hair on the bare floor or carpet. The one thing I do not like is that it is a heavy vacuum. I would buy another one for my next vacuum when this one gets older. I like that it comes in cool colors also.

I have owned a few vacuum cleaners before I bought a Dyson. I have two dogs that shed a lot and had never found a vacuum that could handle cleaning up all of their hair without clogging or breaking. The Dyson vacuums are much more expensive that most other vacuums, but made claims about never loosing suction and came with a warranty so I decided to try one out. I bought the Dyson DC 07 and I am so glad that I did. I found that the claims made by the company about never loosing suction to be absolutely true. It does such a great job at cleaning my house ( even all the dog hair ) and doesn't leave anything behind. It also has a washable hepa filter which I love. It never has to be replaced. You just wash it every six months. I have now owned this vacuum for three years and it still performs as well as it did when I first bought it. I am so pleased with my Dyson and will certainly buy another one, assuming I ever need a new one.
