pkmc102701 says "Heavy, akward, and my son almost ate the rubber mouthpiece." about Dr. Brown's Sippy Cup Baby Bottle

I Loved the idea of the cup, but it was a little heavy and akward for my son to hold. He always needed two hands to hold it and get it up to his mouth. If he used one hand, the cup would fall to one side and then spill or leak. The mouthpiece was flimsy. I think there should've been a more sturdy mouthpiece that kids can't chew through. Also, my son chewed on the mouthpiece, which was real rubbery, and it broke off into many little pieces that I was afraid he was going to choke on so I threw the cup away. The price was a little high and I had high expectations since I loved their bottles. It is supposed to flow instead of the child sucking it. Nice idea, but easily spills. Not for a beginner. I'd say it would be better suited for a two year old or so. There was just too many pieces to the cup and didn't seem like it was tested well. Definately reccommend Dr. Brown's bottles though.
...

RoosMommy says "Perfect for toddlers!" about Dr. Brown's Sippy Cup Baby Bottle

I started using Dr. Browns bottles for my daughter when she was a baby because of her collic. I then decided that I would go for the sippy cups too, maybe they would be good for her. I was absolutely right. They are great for her. I love that they still have the same effect as the bottles with letting the air out instead of it going in her belly. They dont leak and the handles are removable for when she wants to hold it like a big girl cup. The only issue I had with the sippy cup was when she first started with the sippy cups the Dr. Brown cup was a little to heavy for her to hold if I put more than a couple ounces in it. Now that she is used to using the cups she does just fine. I would recommend these for and toddler that had problems with collic as a baby to ensure that they dont have issues when they start using the cup. Now if Dr. Browns would just make the toddler cup with the straws in it my daughter would have everything that Dr.Brown has put out for infants and toddlers.
...

MRSverret says "It's a leaky mess" about Dr. Brown's Sippy Cup Baby Bottle

I bought the Dr Brown's sippy cup because my son used the bottles. I thought with the transition from bottle to sippy cup it would be good to stick with the same brand. The bottles were great, the sippy cups not so great.

There were some good things about the cup. It works similarly to the bottles. The valve reduces excessive vacuum and hard suction. This means instead of sucking on their cup they learn to sip. I really like the handles because it made my son be able to hold it better. The spout of the cup was soft. I think this was better for him just starting to drink from a cup. The handles are removable so they can grow with your baby.

Things that I didn't like was it leaked everywhere. No matter what I would do it would just keep leaking. Another thing is one of the handles broke when my son dropped it from his highchair. That doesn't say much about the quality of the materials. I mean what child doesn't drop his sippy from his highchair? The price is on the high side at $5 or...
...

hatzikonstantinou says "As a Dr. Browns bottle user, I was dissappointed with this sippy" about Dr. Brown's Sippy Cup Baby Bottle

I used Dr. Brown's bottles from day 1 with my son. So naturally when it came time to introduce a sippy, I went for another Dr. Brown's product. And I am sad to say that the Dr. Brown's sippy cup let me down. It leaked ALL the time. I just don't understand why. Every time my son would lift it to use it, it would leak out of the sides. The few times I traveled with it in my purse and it tipped over, I got juice/water/formula all over the bottom of my baby bag. I thought it was maybe the beginner level cup that I had so I moved up and I had the same problem. My son spent more time tipping it over and pouring the contents out "for fun" than actually drinking from it. The one thing I did like was the handles that were removable as the child gets older. But for us, the handles just made it easier for him to shake the contents out and laugh. I gave it a fair try but just couldn't keep chasing after A and cleaning up the mess and leaks that this bottle left behind. :(
...

JCard says "First rate product from a first rate manufacturer." about Dr. Brown's Sippy Cup Baby Bottle

We have both generations of this sippy cup and I would rate them as the best ones that are available. My daughter has used these since first making the bottle exchange and all has been well. We did have one incident when the handles on both generations broke. I contacted the company via email and was responded to within 24 hours. They took my address and shipped new handles right to me. They wished I had kept the pieces to send back for a failure investigation, but unfortunately those pieces were discarded.

A first rate product from a first rate company.
...

adria says "Well worth the price. Great sippy cup!" about Dr. Brown's Sippy Cup Baby Bottle

This is by far the best sippy cup we've used since our son is older. There isn't vacuum suction in the cup so it's easier for little kids to suck on it. The spout isn't hard plastic but it's not completely soft like silicone either. Our little man loves this cup and it's easy for him to hold. They cost more than some other cups but I think they're worth every penny. I've never had it leak even when it's thrown. The downside is there is 4 seperate parts to it....
