Both of my children suffered from acid reflux. After changing the formula and the bottle it resolved their problems. I tried many, many bottles on the market and this one was one of my favorites! It has the least amount of bubbles which causes the gas build-up in babies. My children's pediatrician recommended the Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby Bottle to me when my son was born and it's one we kept around for my daughter who was born 17 months later. They were also very picky with the nipples on the bottles and this one seemed to be their favorite. My only issue was that I had to buy new nipples pretty often but that probably had nothing to do with the product (Just the fact that they were used to their maximum) and that the tube was a little difficult to clean - they do provide you with a small bristle brush to get into the tube and clean it.... overall I'd recommend this product to friends and family that were in the market of buying and trying out new baby bottles.
...

We got these with my son, and he didn't take a bottle often, but when he did he never had a problem emptying it with these bottles.

I dont' know if the anti-gas factor of these bottles was ever necessary for my son, but I liked that we had it anyway! it can't hurt, right?

The only downside with these bottles is the extra peices to wash. (and we didn't have a dishwasher). But it was fine since he didnt' use them often. and if he did use them often and we had a dishwasher, it wouldn't have been a big deal.
...

As a mom of 2 babies, I look for easy and efficient products. The Dr. Brown bottles are too complicated. They have too many small parts to clean and the nipple shape is too small. I breast feed my babies and occasionally use a bottle. neither of my daughters liked the shape of the Dr. Brown's nipple. And if you don't get the thing put together correctly, I twill leak all over!
...

The Dr. Browns Natural Flow Baby bottles are have been great for both of my children. They are recommended by doctors and have been super at reducing extra gas in their tummies. Although they are a little pricey, the extra money is worth the benefits you get from less gas. I also recently read a report that babies retain more of the nutrients in the milk by having less air in the milk. The downfall to these bottles is that there are so many pieces that tend to need special attention when washing. The parts are all dishwasher safe, but if you dont' use the special brush occasionally the parts will have mold that starts to grow in them. Yuck! These come in a variety of sizes and shapes which makes finding just the right fit for you baby easier. They also have a variety of nipple sizes that make finding the right flow easier too. Although they are a little more, it's worth the money for sure!
...

When breast feeding didn't work for my daughter the first bottle I tried Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby Bottle. It was great the first few times but when feeding became more frequent it became more of a hassle, to clean the bottle and valves, than useful. I switched to Avent and never looked back. Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby Bottles were quality bottles as far as I'm concerned but when you have a hungry baby screaming in your face and need a bottle now but none are clean and ready to go it becomes a hassle and leaves everyone feeling frustrated and upset. I suppose you could stock up and always have a clean one on hand but if your a busy mom or dad and don't always have that luxury you may want to research another option. I know people whose babies really suffer, with colic and such, swear by these. If your a busy on the go mom I would probably try something else than Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby Bottles .
...

juliacalvillo says "Dr. Brown's Natural Flow bottles are a life-saver!" about Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby Bottle

Dr. Brown's Natural Flow baby bottles are great for gassy babies. I only wish I had known about these with my first baby, instead of using gas drops for him a few times a day. I used nothing but Dr. Brown's for my second baby and never once had to use gas drops for him. They are easy to clean with the brush that comes with the bottles. There are a lot of pieces as compared to a regular bottle, because of the inserts that help release the air back into the bottle, but totally worth the extra effort to assemble and clean all the pieces. The ring and nipple are not interchangeable with other bottles, however, but if these are all you use, its not a problem. I was given the bottles as a gift, so I do not know how the price compares to other baby bottles, but with my next baby there is no doubt that I will be purchasing more of Dr. Brown's. No matter what the price, they are totally worth it.
...

When I stopped nursing my twins at 3 months old I was very stressed about what bottles to try. My twins were preemies and very tiny so it was very important that I used the right bottle. I tried Playtex. I tried Avent. I tried Gerber and nothing felt right. Either they leaked, were hard to use or didn't work for my daughters. Someone suggested Dr. Brown's but I hesitated with all those "extra parts". I Bought two to try and immediately fell in love. My daughter with reflux seemed happier. The parts were easier to clean than I thought and they worked great for us.
...

After having tried a couple different kinds of bottles I decided to spend the extra money and give the famed Dr. Brown bottles a try.
After reading several reviews praising these bottles up and down I purchased the newborn starter set and a set of 3 8 oz BPA free bottles on Amazon.com. (free shipping)
Well my baby didn't seem to like these any better or worse than he liked any of the other bottles I had tried.
I have a somewhat difficult time cleaning the yellow air flow insert also. There really isn't anything made to get in all of the cracks and crevices of it. You have to be extremely diligent to rinse these right after use because mold will grow.
Mine have leaked a few times, but it even comes with the disclaimer that it may leak because of the air flow system which comes in at the nipple collar. Its nothing drastic though.
Considering the expense of the bottles as a whole, I expected my baby to have little to no gas. He still has the exact amount that he had with plain old $0.99 Gerber...
...

These bottles claimed to reduce gas, but I felt it was complete non sense. The bottle has a tiny internal straw and an extra sealant between the nipple and this straw to prevent leaks. But this instead leaked everytime I fed my baby. The bottle itself is very big compared to standard 4 oz bottles. But then you can never use the volume above 4 oz mark as it starts to leak. These are just rubbish and waste of money. And not to forget the cleaning part, it is big hassle to clean the straw with the nano size brush provided. I would never recommended anyone these bottles you are better off buying those cheap standard gerber bottles that costs 4 times less than these.
...

ddiscenza says "Dr. Brown's was the best bottle for my preemie baby." about Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby Bottle

Back when my daughter was born prematurely, we found that the other bottle system we had purchased was not working as it was causing my daughter's gastroeasophageal reflux (GERD) to act up during the stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). So after my daughter came home from the NICU, my husband and I found Dr. Brown's and we never looked back. Despite all of the pieces/parts to this product, we noticed immediately my daughter's ability to take a bottle without choking. As she grew older we moved to the larger bottles and the different types for rice cereal and more. My daughter is now in school, but I still meet up with a lot of new preemie moms and this product always ends up being a topic of conversation. Often my advice to them is if they don't have that bottle system it is one to check out. If I were do have another child all over again, I wouldn't hesitate and just go buy the Dr. Brown's bottles from the beginning. It would have saved me a lot of time and money. ...
...

My husband and I did not familiar with baby's bottle even after we had our first son. The hospital gave us two bottles and we received another one from my baby shower. But our son did not like all of them, so we went to a supermarket tried to found the right bottle for him. When we were at the baby's aisle a couple greeted us and talked about children's things, and they talked about baby's bottle they used, they talked about Dr. Brown's Natural Baby Bottle. We made our mind and got a couple of Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby's Bottle. After we got home, we tried the bottle to our son, and he loved it. We got more of the bottle. Now our son is 21 months old, and he still loves the bottle. He can holds the bottle and it makes him very happy. He had no problem since we used Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby's Bottle. Now everytime other people ask me what baby's bottle to use, I always recommend Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby's Bottle. It will make other parents and their baby happy, like we are....
...
