The amazing struggle of Mr. Piper and the aftermath of his horrendous accident is one of courage and efforts that I have to be in awe of Mr. Piper.

But he did not call his book "My struggle to return to health" or some such, he called it "90 Minutes in Heaven" and spends only 15 pages describing a heretical and false view of what heaven is. How can I say that?

The Bible states in Revelation 26 what heaven is like. Paul writes that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" and "It is appointed unto man to die, but once, and then the judgment!" The Bible commands its followers to "test ALL things, hold fast to that which is true" and the Bible is the yardstick to do the testing.

All test of Mr. Piper's descriptions prove them to be false teaching and deny that the songs around the throne in heaven are about the sacrafice of the Lord Jesus. He claims "happy songs" and people that "had not changed" and such.

The Bible says we will be in resurrected bodies and the Lord's resurrection...

I was first introducted to 90 Minutes in Heaven by someone from our church. I think he found some helpful information in this book after his young son died in a tragic hunting accident. Then someone from my yoga class brought 90 Minutes in Heaven to class one night and asked if I would like to read it. How could I say no?

Don Piper had no pulse and was pronounced dead at the scene of an automobile accident. He was still within his mangled vehicle and covered with a tarp when Dick Onerecker and his wife drove up to the scene. Although it seemed a bit odd, Dick Onerecker reported that God told him to go over and pray for the dead man in the red car as the crew who were called to the scene awaited the Jaws of Life so that Don Piper could be extracted from the mangled mass of his vehicle and transported to the mortuary.

Climbing under the tarp and into the back seat, Dick Onerecker placed his hand on Don Piper's lifeless shoulder and began to pray fervently after verifying for himself that there...

I have not read a book from cover to cover in a long time. When I was younger I read all the time. I read this book in two days. Reading the chapters that covered his time in heaven twice, and then once to my husband!

Makes you feel reassured that if you are a Christian, death is going to be all right! You do not have to worry about leaving this beautiful planet, because this planet is just a fraction of what God is capable of doing. Using both the senses of sight and hearing we will be in such a joyful state, our spirits will sing!

Also, Don is pushing through and using what God and prayer has done for him to help others.

This is a must read!

This was a very interesting book. The author painted a very vivid picture about his experience. It was interesting to read about his recovery and the interaction he had with the many other patients that were using similar devices. This book reveals the many miracles he has experienced.

When I was given this book to read, I never thought it would grasp my attention like it did. The book can be looked at in two different ways. It is sad the suffering and agony this man endured, yet it has a positive side...it makes you stop and think about how things in your life aren't so bad. It is a very interesting book and recommend everyone shouls read it.

Don Piper describes his miraculous journey from being dead for 90 minutes after his car accident to the present. If anyone doubts the hereafter, this is an excellent book to read as he describes, somewhat, his visit to Heaven. I would like to read more details of his experience in Heaven--who he saw other than some family members, etc. However, he goes into great detail to describe the agony of his extensive recovery from his numerous injuries. Being an independent person previously, he was forced to begin relying on friends and family for assistance. I was surprised to learn that he grew up about 30 miles from my hometown....

This book made me cry and laugh. You get a peek into the future if you are a christan. In a way it makes the thought of dying easier. Easy reading....

I really enjoyed reading this book. I usually get bored with non-fiction because many non-fiction authors try to sound like fabulous writers, and if they'd keep it simple, the reading would be far more enjoyable.

This book does a great job of keeping it real, interesting, and not too wordy.

Exactly as the author described I wanted to hear more about heaven... It made me homesick for a place I've never been. I could feel myself there, I could see the glory, feel the supernatural reality of heaven.

The book goes on to describe in painful detail Don's struggle. I feel very sorry for this man because there is no happy ending. He is living in pain, and still feels many effects of his brush with death.

It seems as if this man's life, God used for other people, and Don has strived to find his own destiny, while being used profoundly in the destiny of others.

Lord help him feel like the valued son he is, and give him great clarity of a vision and purpose for his future. In Jesus name AMEN
