My family and I have cruised with Disney Cruiseline at least 4 times starting when our youngest was 18 months old and we fell in love on our first cruise even though it was during a hurricane. We have since taken the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins with us and we are planning on going again when the new ships come out. There are so many activities for the adults and kids that we still have yet to do half of them. Be sure to check out the adult only restaurant which is devine!!!

My first Disney cruise was back in 2000 when my daughter was a senior in high school. When she graduated, I asked her where she wanted to go for her senior trip and she, of course, wanted to go to Disney World. After discussing with her, we decided to do the disney land/sea trip which would involve going to Walt Disney World for 4 nights, then boarding the Disney Magic cruise ship for 3 nights. This was her first cruise and she also would be celebrating her 18th birthday on the first day of our cruise. We knew we would have a great time and we were right!! Disney always knows how to make you feel special and the Disney Magic was no exception. Our room was very spacious. I loved having the split bathroom where someone could take and shower and get ready separate from the toilet area. The other thing we loved was how you rotate restaurants each night but your waiter would stay with you and rotate also. She absolutely loved her first cruise and it was a great graduation trip. My family and I recently sailed on the Disney Cruise Line - Magic. the whole family had an amzing time. Firts, the accomodations were exceptional. the rooms were comfortable and spacious, not to mention very very clean. The service was top notch. the whole crew was freindly and accomodating. The ship was also beautiful. One of the nicest I have ever stepped foot on, and I have been on may cruises in my life. The restaurants and the food was great. there were a number of places to choose froem and it allowed everyone to go off and do their own thing for a bit. Each restaurant had its own decor and food type. Each one was better than the next. the activities on board were very fun. They had activities for adults and children, so everyone had a little somethimng for himself or herself. Finally, the price was very reasonable. it provided a great getaway and an affordable price, which is perfect in the current econmic climate.

This was my children's first cruise and my husband and I thought that Disney was the best way to go. We were so right! The moment you step into the port it is all magic. You are treated like royality from the first day to the last. I would have to say that all of the staff on the ship makes everyone feel special. My children at the time 9 & 11 thought the cruise was the best time of their life.

Things that I would recommend for first time Disney cruisers:

- Bring plenty of batteries for your camera

- You are allowed to bring bottled water and alcohol on board to reduce the cost on the ship( water is $4 a bottle and you will want these when you go on excursions)

- Bring an autograph book and pen and carry everywhere on the ship, the characters are everywhere

- Go to dinner hungry because the servers bring so much for you to try and make sure to bring your camera (plenty of photo ops)

- Enjoy the adult only activities while your children enjoy theirs

- Go to the shows, they are fantastic...

My family have enjoyed three cruises with Disney and have booked a 12-night Baltic cruise on the Magic for Summer 2010. Those who say the price isn't worth the service have clearly none cruised with Disney. We have cruised with three other lines, and the service, food and entertainment of DCL cannot be matched.

Castaway Cay, the private island, is truly a paradise. The worst part is being dragged off the island at the end of the day! Perfectly calm and clear water makes snorkeling, swimming or just floating in an inner tube a blast. The white sand beaches (there are three) suit your need to either be alone or with your family. The food is fantastic and the service, like that on the ship, is top notch.

WE LOVE DISNEY MAGIC, highly recommend it for anybody, not just families, we love seeing the honeymooners on the cruise with their bride and groom (Minnie & Mickey) wedding hats. We will go again, and again, and again.........

This cruise is a hit for anyone! The dining is very creative, and the drinks were fairly in-expensive! The double bathroom is certainly a great addition for a cabin too.

The kids club was amazing, with disney 'actor' counsellors. They kept the kids engaged from making flubber to an onboard scavenger hunt. I'd highly reccommend to anyone who is looking to cruise with kids.

The DIsney Cruise was fantastic! If you have children, they can be checked into a program early in the morning and picked up late at night, OR you can join them for different activities during the day! Parents are given a beeper in case your child needs you for an emergency. This gives parents the opportunity to have quiet, private alone-time! There are incredible restaurants on board and you rotate to a new restaurant every night, but your waiter travels WITH you, so they get to know your likes and dislikes. They were great at encouraging both our children and ourselves to try new things. If you have a finicky eater, they will accomodate ANYTHING your child wants...just say it, and they will make it! There is also an adult only, ROMANTIC gourmet Northern Italian restaurant, which is perfect for a special night out (included with the cruise, so it was a nice indulgence that we "could afford").

Entertainment is for EVERYONE...early shows are "family" shows with Broadway style musical with...

We took our DD on a Disney Cruise in Jan. 2008.

This was my first cruise also! DD was 3.5 years old when we cruised.

We thought she might have been a little young for the cruise, but boy were we wrong! She had such an amazing time! She is constantly asking when we are going back to the disney cruise! My daughter is not the kind of kid who will stay with just anybody. She has never stayed with anybody besides family, so we were concerned that she would not stay in the Oceaneers club. She cried for a minute when we left her and thought for sure the pager would be going off soon to pick her up. Well that never happened! We went to pick her up for dinner and she did not want to leave! We had dinner without her! Luckily they have 24 hour room service! This was the best experience and worth every penny!
