I love the Discover Platinum card. The cash back option is wonderful. There are many ways to earn additional cash back. It seems so easy to earn cash back for buying the things that we would buy normally. Plus, each quarter there are additional cash back opportunities available based on certain sectors of shopping. You can also earn extra cash back based on on-line shopping. We have not taken advantage of that, as we don't shop online that much.

We charge most of our monthly purchases and pay off the balance in full. It is a great way to make the most of our money. Plus, it is very convenient to use the credit card. Most stores and restaurant accept this credit card.

The customer service has been wonderful, when I have had a need to contact them. They are proactive in protecting our account when there have been issues. I also like the choices in card design. The one drawback is when issuing a new card, the new card is the standard form. I must request my individualized...

The Discover Platinum card is a cash back rewards card that is everything it claims to be and nothing it's not. I've not encountered any of the issues other companies card holders complain about. No hidden charges, crazy rate hikes or any other issues. I'm a completely satisfied lifelong customer of Discover!

I've been a loyal Discover card holder since the early 90s. Since the economic crisis of the banking industry hit our country hard and some banks have failed the end user, the consumer has eventually seen what their financial institutions are made of. Some of their banks or credit card companies have been bought out buy others and some have just gone under. Some have changed fees, raised rates, changed policies, etc. Well, Discover Platinum this past summer decided across the board to raise all of their customers rates to an effective rate of approximately 19+%. I find this unfair. I called to find out if I could get an individual rate adjustment based on my own personal credit history and history with Discover and the answer is no! I love using my Discover Platinum card. They always have extra cash back opportunities every month on the things most of us use. This month is Gas, Hotels and Amusement Parks. I will be cashing in on this opportunity. I earn money and have the convenience of using the credit card. I pay my balance every month so I don't have a finance charge. This is a no annual fee credit it card. The saying It Pays to Discover is a very good discription of this card. Go to Discover.com and check it out! You must sign up online every time for the extra cashback opportunity. Easy to do when you check your balance or make your payment.

I had a Discover card until we got too poor and couldn't keep it anymore.

In the world of credit cards, the Discover is probably one of the better choices, but unless you are rich or at least make sure you don't charge more than you can pay off each month, they are the best way in the world to lose everything you've got.

It is too much temptation, if you really can't afford to buy anything spur of the moment, to even keep a card.

If you don't make your payments on time or get in a pinch and can't make one at all, instead of doing anything that might help in any way, they double, triple, (or even more)the interest rate you may have. So if you weren't quite sunk before, you certainly are now.

So for that reason, we have gotten rid of all credit cards and intend to keep it that way. Our bank account includes a debit card, which gives all the convenience of the credit card, but it's your checking account, not a line of credit that is someone elses' money.

I have used Discover for many years but I am upset that recently my rate was raised on purchases alreay on the card. I feel they are taking advantage of an economy already hurting. This is one that will most likely be closed shortly.

I have had my Discover Platinum card for about a year, and I was very sceptical of their cash back claims. I have several Visa and Master Card cards and they all have cash back programs as well, but in actuality, you have to spend the cash back money at their on-line stores, and no where else. But with Discover Platinum, you have control of how the refund is given. As a payment on your account, a check sent to you, there's even a Discover Card on-line store where you can spend the refund, and get some really great deals, it's entirely up to you. So if I had my choice, I'd choose the Discover Platinum card above Visa or Master Card. The only negative I have found, if you can call it a negative, is for me the credit limit with Discover Platinum is lower than that which is typical with Visa Platinum or Master Card Platinum. But in today's banking world, a more reasonable credit limit might be a good thing after all, as I haven't read about Discover reducing credit limits or...
