luisam says "The Dirt Devil dynamite is nicer than I thought it would be" about Dirt Devil Dynamite

I bought this Dirt Devil about a month ago for two reasons. First of all my last vacuum cleaner broke. Since I no longer have wall to wall carpet, i did not see the need to spend a lot of money on a new vacuum cleaner. I have owned a hand held Dirt Devil Vacuum cleaner for many years and I love it. I went to Walmart and looked at all their vacuum cleaners that were there and decided on the Dynamite. The cost was under $40.00 and it was a brand that I trusted.

I want to say that so far I really like it. It is very light weight and it has Hepa power. The box says it traps 99.7 % dust and pollens. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much dirt it picked up. It has a retractable handle that lowers to 31 inches, which makes it easy to store. It also goes from carpet to floor with automatic adjustment.

This past weekend my friend had a party at the club house where she lives. There were at least 50 people there. About 40 of the guest were kids. I offered to vacuum...
...

kscarlett001 says "This Dirt Devil Vacuum is Dynamite!" about Dirt Devil Dynamite

The Dirt Devil Dynamite Vacuum is quick, easy and effective. I have usually purchased $200 - $300 professional strength vacuums such as the Riccar. I have never had a vacuum with such sucking power as this light and convenient upright before. The cord of this vacuum is average length and the hadle height is very comfortable. I will never not have a vacuum like this. It is a lifesaver and helps me get the job finished. The best price in town for the power.

I have three teenagers and five cats and this is the vacuum for me. This vacuum gets up all the pet hair quickly and effortlessly. It is strong enough to clean up after the kids too. The only drawback to this vacuum is the lack of attachments. But, it is light enough and compact so that I have no problems vacuuming the stairs with the vacuum. It has a low profile to I can vacuum under the coffee table too! I have a two-story home and I have the small vacuum with attachments for the upstairs. They are all I need....
...

I've had this for years and it is the only floor vacuum out there that picks up tumbleweeds of dog hair with ease. I have 4 large dogs and have to vacuum my tile kitchen floor and hardwood floors throughout my home 3 -4 times a week and the suction power is incredible. The only thing it does not do well with is tufts of fluff from dog toys. They are too thick to get under the vacuum. The back wheels recently fell off and before I realized it, the dogs were chewing them and I cannot find replacements for them. I didn't know they even fell off because the vacuum still moved with ease without them!

Missyrose says "Great Apartment Vaccum" about Dirt Devil Dynamite

I bought this vaccum 2 years ago when i moved into my first apartment (800 square feet) with wall to wall hardwood floors. I now have moved on to condo with carpet and hardwood floors (1100 square feet). I bought this vaccum at the time because it was small and cheap. I though I would upgrade when I had the money. It's been 2 years and I have no plans on replacing it till it breaks. I have a long haired cat and this vaccum never gets clogged with pet hair. It's also so easy to use my nephew 4 year old can use he has gone over items that shouldn't be vaccumed (larger pieces of paper, quarters etc.) and the vaccum has yet to break. My sister bought for her home so he could help with chores as her vaccum is too big for him.

Pros:

Handle comes down when not in use. I have stored on the bottom of my linen closet.

With the handle down it the perfect size for a child to use.

Cleans up pet hair.

Cons:

No attachment.

Filter gets dirty fast. (I bang it out every couple uses and reuse it...
...

ninjasherrie says "OK in a pinch if money is tight; otherwise try another brand" about Dirt Devil Dynamite

I bought this vacuum (Dirt Devil Dynamite) after moving to a location that had wall to wall carpet upstairs after having all hardwood floors. I didn't want to spend a lot, so i picked up the Dirt Devil Dynamite at Wal Mart for like $29.00.

This vacuum is very basic; there are no attachements, no bells and whistles, but it does have HEPA fltration which i thought was good, since i live in dusty Arizona and have a cat. It was simple to assemble and the cord is very long, although it does not have auto rewind for the cord. You must wind and unwind it as needed. Annoying, but for $29.00 what should i expect?

This vacuum is LOUD! Not only is the motor loud enough to make your ears ring, it also emits a high pitched squeal that is grating on the nerves. Sometimes i notice a weird odor but i've checked and can find no belts rubbing or hot parts or smoke, so i guess this is the norm?

Bottom line, this vacuum does a decent job of picking up dirt and pet hair, but it lacks an adjustable...
...

I had owned other dirt devils and they all fell apart. then we borrowed a neighbors lil dynamite and fell in love. as soon as we could we went out and bought one of our own. that was a year ago and it has kept up with our cats (and the dog we had) perfectly.

yeah it doesnt have attachments, but we really never used them anyway. no dust after and cleanup is a snap with the canister instead of bags. i would recommend this one for the person that doesn't have time or money for something fancy, but just needs something to kick butt on pet hair, dust and dirt. the hepa filter is pretty cheap to replace at most walmarts.
...

It worked great for 1 month then it stopped picking up small particles and it has cause me so much trouble. If you want ot pick things up by the tubing it will get stuck. Dont buy it I will never buy another Dirt Devil again! I have tried cleaning the product but it wont even pick things up the sucked is like a little fan now and not sucking up anything. Not getting any suction though I dont see a problem where I can fix it. I wish I nver bought and I should have bought a Eureka....

Dirt Devil Dynamite Plus is one of the easiest vaccums I have ever used. It picks up like a bigger vaccum. My has gone thru everything and is still working. I vaccum twice a day and sometimes once inbetween. I have 7 children ages 13 yrs, 9, 7, 4, 3, 2, 1 and a dog. So see I have used it well. This one has outlasted 4 other larger vaccums...

herveaa says "Good power but no accessories and dusty when cleaning" about Dirt Devil Dynamite

This vacuum loses power dramatically when the filter gets dirty, which happens quickly. I have trouble emptying the dust bin because the dust gets caught on the filter connection when emptying. I would rather have a bagged vacuum cleaner. Although bagged vacuums lose suction as they get full, it's not that hard to change a bag and then you're back in business. The filters in bagged vacuums rarely need to be cleaned or changed, and the bagless vacuums require new filters every couple of months. I could buy several sets of bags for the price of one filter for a bagless vacuum. I think bagless vacuums are a fad and people will soon revert to bagged vacuums....

Price of product fit my pocket book at the time. Needed something fast. Worked very well at first but a month or two after purchasing it the wheels began to fall off. At first I could put them back on, but I had to vacuum a certain way so that they wouldn't come off again. Eventually, it was just easier to leave them off. I have only changed the belt twice in a years time. Which isn't bad. I guess you get what you pay for!...
