Ok I disagree. lol YES I disagree yet again. It's cheesy!! It's a big ball of chessyness. The lead girl in the movie is a bad actress, she over-acts. Everyone is running around just over acting to me. None of it seems like it could be even a hint of real. It is discusting when the zombies are killed and when real normal people turn into those things it...

This is now my favorite zombie movie. Maybe my favorite move. It's a great movie. I liked the camera perspective to it. There were actually parts that scared me. It was one of those movies that didnt have a stupid ending that ends at a horrible spot leaving it hanging. I am going to build a panic room now....

George(Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead) Romero's latest excursion into the world of Zombies is a return to very low budget film-making. He borrows from the (not original) Blair Witch Project concept and creates one of the best message horror films in a long long time.

He sets up the movie like a documentary made by a group of college aged young adults. We get interesting voice over comments from a couple of the characters throughout the film like:

"It's funny. You spend so much time resenting your parents, separating yourself, building your own life. But as soon as the shit hits the fan, the only place you want to go is home. "

For those of you counting, Diary of the Dead is Romero's 5th (Zombie) Dead film following Land of the Dead from a couple of years ago. Instead of moving the...

George Romero is back to doing what he does best.

The independent production of "Diary of the Dead" is the most refreshing and adept film since Romero's "Dawn of the Dead." The king of the zombies returns to the beginning and re-imagines his saga in a media saturated world.

Where "Night of the Living Dead" reflected the turmoil and tensions of the 1960s and "Dawn of the Dead" was a knock on the consumer driven 1970s; "Diary of the Dead" is almost satirical in its portrayal of a world with too much in formation -- and too many lies.

Presented as a documentary, Diary goes back to the beginning of the epidemic. At the same time it manages to capture the realities of post 9/11 America. Government lies, media bias and political correctness initially hide the fact that the dead are coming back to life and eating the living.

But this is no "Cloverfield" or "Blair Witch Project" clone. In typical Romero fashion, he goes further integrating web video like YouTube and footage from surveillance......
