APRIL 2009

We brought our dog Raven into the Vet a week ago with a torn ligiment. She had been playing in the back yard with my Boy and she twisted her leg.

The Vet recommended a Vet Surgeon to fix her leg by adding a stainless steel plate on here Femer to compensate for the torn Crucies Ligimant. The surgery went well and my dog appeared to be recovering quickly over the next couple days.

On the third day shen was lathargic and violented vomiting and shaking with what appeared to be shock syndroms. She was extra tursty and drank lots of water. She appeared to be dehydrating. I canlled the Vet and they asked me to give her more water and watch her. She looked a bit better after an hour so we thought that it was just upset stomach from the pain medication. The next day she turned worse after getting her morning medication which included Deramaxx for othopedic inflamation. She was vomiting and swollen stomack and violently shakining with no ability to stand....
...

Deramaxx killed my dog. I took my Rottie, Brutus, to our vet on Wed, Sept10th, 2008. He was on Tramadol for hip pain and he was 15 years 8 months old. After having blood work done, I was given Deramaxx for his hip pain, which was finally becoming difficult for him. I gave him Tramadol and Deramaxx the next day - only giving him 1/2 tablet of Deramaxx with his food. I did the same thing on Friday. Friday night, he started vomiting. The diarrhea started soon after lasting all through the night. Mind you, this Rottweiler was the heathiest boy I'd ever seen - he was in a special Lucky 13 Longevity Study with Purdue University because he was so old. On Saturday morning, September 13th, 2008, he was brought to a "different" vet than the one I brought him to on Wednesday, because no one from my first vet's office called me to let me know the extent of his blood work details, except for receiving a brief phone call on Thurs. night indicating - a change in his blood work. ...
...

cruzntopless says "Quick fix to dog's arthritis symptoms" about Deramaxx 100MG 30CT Bottle

Recently, my 11 year old black lab named Shadow (who had already been on glucosamine and Vetrin pet aspirin for arthritis) took a spill down our back deck steps. This left him unable to use his hind legs. A visit to the vet revealed nothing broken or damaged, and she attributed his fall and subsequent limited ability to arthritis pain. So she started him on Deramaxx. Within 2 days he was able to walk again, although still with some limited mobility. We thought this was a miracle and were very pleased. Within 3-4 days, Shadow started vomitting pure acid, the poor thing couldn't keep water down. And when he did vomit his water, it was dark yellow. (This was the indicator to our vet that it was stomach acid). Much like humans, the anti-inflammatory line of medicines is very harsh to digestion. Our vet recommended giving him Pepcid AC (human form). After a few days of this, we discontinued the Deramaxx and he began to eat again. But it was a catch 22, he needed to walk......
