i im almost constantly on my computer so i need one that is fast and reliable to use all the time. this dell laptop was a good buy because it was not that expensive, especially compared to any kind of mac. it is allways running fast and has never broken or crashed on me before. i like the size and shape, it is nice and easy to carry and the keyboard is shaped for easy normal typing. the sound is ok for an average costing computer. if you are planning on using this computer for gaming you may need a different computer for better grraphics and sounds. but for normal, everyday use this dell laptop is pretty great. i have fallen in love with mine, and i do not no what i would do if i did not have it. i use it all the time for school work and entertainment. and just for shopping on line. im actually using it right now. so i would recomend this to anyone if they asked me if i thought they should buy this
...

Katanakat says "The Dell XPS - it's light, fast, sleek and surprisingly durable" about Dell XPS M1530 Laptop

The Dell XPS M1530 is the newest in the XPS series from Dell. It is extremely fast and light (4 pounds without the battery, 6 pounds with battery). Aside from being extremely fast and efficient, it also has multiple USB ports and is very durable and travel friendly. It does not overheat even when in use all day and with multiple high capacity programs running. It's data storage capability, with 4 GB of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM is truly impressive and it has a pre-installed 2.0 megapixel webcam. It's large 15.4 inch screen makes reading and writing large documents a cinch. This large screen, however, does make the Dell XPS a very good competitor for the new small screen computers that have recently been promoted among those who are regular and frequent commuters. In the end, it comes down to personal needs and taste. The Dell XPS is a perfect fit for PC users that are looking for fast efficient use and large storage capability, along with high quality screen resolution and web cam capabilities....
...

The Dell XPS M1530 Laptop is a wonderful product because it has pretty much what you need. I have my dell for a few months and so for it's not a bad laptop. It helps me with y work and other important papers. The internet is pretty quick and pretty inpressive. Half the time when I not doing anything like chores or other house stuff. I be on my laptop playing games, going on my myspace, myyearbook, facebook, mocospace, and twitter. The Dell XPS M1530 Laptop has a great battery life. It can last for a very long time, instead of always having to buy a laptop every year. Another thing I like about this product is that I am a computerholic. I can't never stay off a computer. The next thing I love about this laptop is that I don't have to wait for another person to get on the computer, doing what they doing. Instead of always having to wait for an hour for another computer, I can use my laptop and do what I need to do. That is why I suggest you to get one because it is a fabulous product and...
...

This is my second Dell Laptop. I literally worked my other one to death. It was also an XPS. This one came with some many features standard, and with a couple of creative upgrades I have the perfect system for under $1000. It came standard with HDMI screen, webcam built in as a standard feature, and a battery system that makes my other one seem 100 years old. The speed with which this system operates continues to amaze me. I can take it anywhere and lock on to any wireless network anywhere anytime. Do I recommend this--most definitely. Everyone should have one. I use this for both business and personal. It has eliminated my desktop completely.
...

got an XPS M1530 two weeks ago and here's my experience with it so far:

Performance: Windows Vista runs just fine on the XPS without any lag so far. Have yet to encounter any problem multitasking. Only downside about it is the heat. Just like any other laptop, this model gets hot rather quickly. But nothing can't be solved with the help of an external cooler.

Design: Personally, I feel that the XPS is one of the best looking laptops in the market. My only complaint is the finishing touch of the battery panel. It's somewhat loose when I got it, (it'd be good if Dell could get it fixed for me) otherwise I would've termed it perfect.

Value: I feel that the XPS delivers in terms of utility per dollar since I benefited from the instant cash redemption offer. I think it only gets better when I need to call upon their customer service. That's one of the main reasons why I chose Dell anyway.

Overall: If you want a good looking laptop complemented with good features, this should be included in your...
...

Well I have had my Dell XPS M 1530 for over a year now. I like it except I had to just recently get a new keyboard, and a new cord and charger for it. The charger just broke threw the cord right by the plug that plugs into the computer, then of course the charger itself started to burn out and made a yukky smell. Of course I still had a warranty on it so it didn't cost anything to replace thank goodness. Other than that I like my Dell XPS. It has Windows Vista and Word 2007. It does have a 'fingerprint' mode on it that I do not use or like. I could not even get my print to take correctly, so it was a real pain because I thought I had to have it in order to work my computer, but that was not the way it worked. The picture is good. It does seem to get a little hot after being on it for a while. I am thinking about getting one of those lap things that you set your puter on that has a fan in it and keeps the puter cool, but am not sure how good they are. Of course I can look on here and see...
...

before i bought the laptop i have now {an hp g series} i looked at this machine.i thought it was nice, but at the time i couldnt justify the price for the one i wanted .i always have to soup them up to the max.so by the time i was done with customizing it ,i could have boughtan alien ware machine.but as far as this lap goes its fast it has alot of memory and it is a nice looking laptop.also it has alot of cool featuures.the graphics card that comes standard in it can handle sophisticated games and not be sluggish.also you can multitask on it with out it slowing down on you .i am th kind of guy that will have 15 different thing running at the same time.as you know with a slower machine programs will not work right or they will react slowly or freeze.also te customer service that dell gives you ,i think is actually very good.at least i have never had a problem with them, when i had a technical issue with any of the 2 dell machines i own.
...

I absolutely love the Dell XPS M1530. I'm a loyal Dell person and find the XPS consistent with all the products I've purchased from Dell. I'm an everyday internet user and use Microsoft software a lot. I really like Vista, despite all the negative talk. I was hesitant to try Vista because I heard such bad reviews on the software. After using the program for a month, I was very happy with the functionality and user-friendliness of Vista. I'm not one to download music on my computer and believe in keeping anti-virus software up to date. I've had the computer for about 4 months and would recommend the laptop to anyone interested in an efficient laptop at a reasonable price. I've had no problems with the computer thus far and found it extremely easy to set up and navigate. I love the size of the screen and will probably never go to a smaller laptop after having this one! The only negative aspect of this laptop is the weight. I often travel with my computer and find the...
...
