I bought my husband the studio 15 laptop for christmas last year.He only had it about four months when it started shutting down or going into sleep mode while he was on it.If the screen (the lid) gets moved in the slightest way it either shuts down or goes into sleep mode.The laptop is kept on a computer stand or in his laptop bag so it has not been miss handled.

another issue about 6 months after it was bought it started crashing about once a week.He has nortons and he defrags every week and has not been hit by any viruses.He will be working or playing a game and it will start dumping files.when he restarts it its fine but he has lost what ever he was working on.when he restarts and checks nortons there is no viruses found and no reason found for the dumping of files.

The sound quality also very poor.we took it on a trip and the kids could bearly hear the dvd player. ...

so my laptop messes up all the time. and i get really tired of it...like for example when im doin certain things like checking my email and tryin to write to someone it will like totally freeze up on me. like especially the keyboard and i really hate it alot. also sometimes when im on myspace or facebook it takes forever to IM somebody, like if i want to say hi or something it takes me about 3 minutes jst to type that in...ugh makes me mad. but other than that it works perfectly fine. and i love the fact that i have a built-in webcam how flippin awsome is that. and its actually more convinient because when i travel or something i can jst open it up and its there if i need to tlk to someone. instead of having to take the store bought one and having to plug it in all the time. thats a real time saver. hmmmm lets see and i think that when you order it they already install everything that you want on there and dat is also very good cause you dont waste none of your time.

I use the 14" model for one month so far , light weight, nice battery life, quite, heating is not a problem ( compared to my other fuming hot Acer) I had few technical issues the first few days, the computer didnt recognize me / my user profile , the second day when I tried to log in , and I did fix it myself by online vista forum ( I was online on another computer and followed the steps), otherwise I would be forced to buy dell support , so maybe something is meant to happen to force u the buy the support ( conspiracy theory) Otherwise it has been a good computer so far

Like I said in the title. Not the best computer or service. I got this computer at the beginning of April. In May I was having problems with it starting. I have a two year warrant. When calling customer service I would talk to two or three people and an hour later I got a person that could address the error messages I was getting. They then kept telling me it was a software problem or it was overheating. That is a big difference in my book and was not happy that this was happening a month into me using a brand new computer of theirs. They said that it was nothing that technical support could do because it was not a technical problem and wanted me to pay for software assistance because that is not covered under the warrany that I had. I wasn't paying anymore for this computer since it was brand new. I resorted to reformating it and it has been running smoothly since. Needless to say, Dell should have some cusomter service agents that are on your side and who will listen to the real issues...

The Dell Studio 15 is my constant companion...editing and blogging online calls for a superb cpu and I am so pleased that I purchased this little number. Dell Studio is a gem, it is super fast and has plenty of harddrive space. The monitor screen is clear and I am still finding new ways to enjoy this laptop although I purchased about seven months ago. I'm tickled pink that Dell finally created a pc which everyone can afford and I highly recommend this model for those looking for a new computer or Christmas gift. The only shortcoming that I could find thus far is the speakers. No big problem because you can connect your own. Other than that the Dell Studio 15 does everything that it's great ancester's do. Another plus is that it came down about $100.00 in price since they first came out on the market. It comes in an array of colors so if you are buying for a female friend~~~they do carry Pink! Mine came as a set so I also got a mouse and case with this. Make your loved...

I've had my Studio 15 for about one year and I love it. It is very convient. I would recommend Dell to anyone. When I brought my laptop, I also purchased a all-in-one printer and a video camera. I love all of Dell products. I have been purchasing Dell products for about 7 years now. Each time I ordered anything from Dell, the customer service representatives are very friendly and helpful. They take their time to ensure that you completely understand everything about your product. Dell associates are very knowledgable about their products, they must trained their customer service representatives very very well. The only thing I would like to see improved is the wait time to receive your products take forever and a day. You get so excited and then have to wait for ten to fifteen days to receive your new computer. Everywhere I go I see Dell products in use. My doctors' office has a Dell monitor in every examination room. I just love Dell.

I bought a Dell Studio 15 about a month before i was going off to college, and so far it has stood up to all its cracked up to be. I've had no problems with software, hardware, or viruses. Of course most of that wouldn't deal with just the laptop, but it hasn't even slowed down yet. The pixel quailty is absolutely awesome and the speakers are loud as ever. When i use my VGA cord to watch movies from my computer to the television, I use the speakers from computer still. They are as loud as the tv and just as clear. I would recommend this laptop computer to everybody. I even did to my mom (who bought one after I left for school because she always used mine at home). This laptop is perfect for schoolwork, recreational use, work use, and just about anything you try to do with it. The Dell Studio 15 is lightweight, so it's easily portable, but also has excellent signal everywhere I have taken mine so far. Once again, if you need a laptop, (or just simply want one) this is the one for you.

Dell Studio 15 Laptop. This is a great product. bult in camera gives great quality pictures and video. I've used this laptop for just about everything. Writing reports, creating flyers, etc. I've installed many programs including photoshop CS2, Protools M Powered, firewire 410, audition, adobe premier, etc. Everything works great and fast, no problems. fingerprint ID works great. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that the speakers are horrible. blackberry cellphone speakers actually sound better. Other than that, it has 2 headphone jacks (which surprised me) and they give great sound. When mixing music, I plug it into studio monitors anyway so the bad speakers don't bother me. Overall I think it's a great laptop. I recommend it.

I have had this computer for two years despite missing keys that my dog chewed up out of boredom because my husband sometimes forgets where he puts it, I can't blame my husband because he's blind and the dog is bored. Everything that ccould happen to this computer has good thing we bought it at best buy with a four year warrenty.

All was good, I got everything that I need for 1,000.
