I purchased a brand new Dell Inspiron 530 last february. It has been great. It came with vista home version and I hav'ent had any problems with it. I know that there are some die hard Mac users out there but this in my second Dell pc and so far I love them. I think tis particular model would be suitable for beginners through intermediate users. The price can't be beat.

The Dell Inspiron 530s processor is very nice. This was a replacement for a 7 year old Dell processor which I was very satisfied with. The 530s is small and compact, it can stand or lay down works well if you have limited space. It is a little noisy when first turned on but it lasts for about 5 seconds, I'm not complaining. Came Vista-I don't care for Vista but that seems to be where things are going. Price was reasonable-watch for sales in newspaper,online,& on TV especially around a holiday, the price are usually different on each. I ordered mine around Easter for $200 of usual price from Newspaper, online same processor $50 more.

I purchased the Dell desktop/inspirion 5305 approx 6 months ago, and i have been very please with every characteristic of the computer since i bought it. From the flat screen and the sleekness of it to the easiness of the keyboard. I would recommend to anyone.

I had not bought a new computer in 10 years. I was afraid of getting Vista but this Dell Inspiron 531S was the only pre-built desk top package I could find with a modem, and I needed dial up access. My dial up connection is much faster with the Vista operating system. I recommend Vista to anyone needing dial up.

The packaging was separate for printer, monitor and tower. Speakers were separate, but easy to install.

Delivery was on time. Instructions were straight forward. I had it up and running using the 22" monitor in about an hour.

Microsoft Works is pre-installed. I had been using Microsoft Office Excel and Word. I had documents that I wanted to convert. It was very simple. I just sent the documents to my earthlink email address before I logged off the old system. Once the new system was installed, I just accessed my email. Clicked on the attached documents and saved them on the new computer. The excel converted to a spreadsheet document that I could modify...

After setting this computer up I was extremely happy with what I found. Performance was wonderful. Graphics were great. This is something you would expect out of a Dell, but not from a slimline computer. Awhile later the computer became noisey. The fans started to vibrate against the case terribly. That has stopped though and I am very satisfied with my PC....

i have been a dell user for about 11 years. I love my inspiron 530 but i had it upgraded it didnt have enough memory for what i wanted to do if you do pictures or music you need more memory. Its not noisy and it is very fast i had windows xp put in for the very reason vista has so many problems. I took out the norton antivirus and put in mcafee with my own virus protection and i have not had any problems, so if anyone doesnt like vista and is still looking for xp go to dell and let them build your computer for you. ...

We bought this PC about 2 weeks ago and are extremely happy with it. This is our first Dell and on top of it being very high tech it is nice and quiet too..We have the 22" flat screen LCD monitor with it which is a plus becuase my eyes aren't like they used to be. This is our first PC with the Microsoft Vista in it so it is taking some time getting used to. I would give this PC an A........

I have used many computers before I bought the Dell 531. The last one was another Dell and it was pretty good. However, this one is the worst computer I have ever owned. The system is very slow, the software is terrible, especially the Microsoft Vista and nothing ever runs right even the software that came with the computer. The only good thing about the deal was the monitor! It is so bad, that I think I am going to convert to a Mac!...

Our old computer died an ugly death last summer. It was 7 years old, so I couldn't complain. We had purchased it from Del, and loved the customer service and the quality of the computer, so we decided to go with them again. My husband and I are retired and on a comfortable but fixed income, so our son (a computer professional) suggested we go through the Dell Outlet to look for something.

I went online and searched through all the desktops available, and we decided we would be going with the Inspiron 531. I called Dell and spoke with a sales rep about what we wanted. She advised me that we would want 2 GB of memory since we would be getting Vista, and she found a really great one with all the things we would need. She said she could only hold it for 15 minutes (Company policy with the outlet), so I asked her to hang on while I talked to my husband about it. (He holds the pursestrings, while I want all the bells and whistles.) He agreed that we could go for it if we kept the old monitor,...

We got the Inspiron 531s about 1 month ago and couldn't be happier. My previous computer was a Dell and we also have a Dell 37" LCD TV. I'm brand loyal because I've always been very happy with the products as well as the customer service/tech support you receive from Dell. I got Vista even though I had heard people had problems with it, but it's been alright so far. I've been able to connect my printer, webcam and photo printer to it just by downloading updated software from the web sites....
