I have enjoyed my laptop. It works well for what I want to do- basic computing, word processing, some programming. I don't use it much for gaming. I have had a problem upgrading my system to Windows 7. The audio drivers do not seem to want to work and I have tried redownloading them, but I have not managed to solve the problem yet.

It holds a battery life really well. It lasts for about 2 1/2 hours when I am connected to the internet. The tech support is very helpful. The automatic programs it comes with are useful. Things such as the webcam manager and Dell start up center make using the computer easy.

The Dell website is also easy to navagate, if ever you need to.

I like the fact that it has four USB ports. The headphone jack is in the front, which is handy. The only thing I wish it had was a volume dial. It does have little touch buttons to control the volume, but I find them hard to use.

Overall, I think it's a pretty good laptop for the average computer...

I bought this product from the beginig of this year and it was my first lapt top from walmart . I get disappointed in the very first begining because when I turned it on for the first time there was no sound and then I sent e-mail to the seller then he told me to unstall the sound definition and reinstall it and I did that and the sound quality was so high and sound is really good I like this product . the secound poblem was with burning DVD I tried to burn recovery disk to be able to use it in the future but what happen it intrubted my recovery driver and my recovery driver gone I call hp customer service and it was so late like 4 am but there were there and asked me alot of questions after that they sent me DVD for free and you know what is the thing that i don't like about dell is recovery partition I wish if they can produce CDs instede of this partion but general speakin it was good experience sorry for my bad english because I'm not an american

I purchased this new laptop from Dell, the Inspiron 1525, and it has been a great little laptop. Very ergonomic for me at least, easy to type on, and I do a lot of typing. The screen size is just right for my lap. It's very light and easy to hold for a long time. I love all the extra features Windows Vista provides as well.

So I have owned my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop for a year now, and I love it. For school use, photo sharing, and just playing computer games online or like solitaire its the best. Still runs like the first day I got it and I use it almost everyday. The only thing I can find wrong is that it gets hot really quick, so extended stays on the laptop are probably not the best idea. I have actually burnt my leg once, so my cell phone gets used as a prop to keep it lifted off of whatever surface I have it sitting on. and the only other thing abput it is that the screen just lifts up, there no lock or latch to keep it together, which makes it an easy target for kids, my almost 2 year old god daughter can get it open and thats not good at all, so probably wouldnt recommend it to parents or people who have small children around their home quite often. But other that its great light weight to me atleast, easy to understand, and as a first time laptop owner it was very easy and simple for me to understand,...

I love my Media Pack for photos, for blogging, for adding photos or videos or graphics to articles. Easy to write blogs, articles, reviews, critiques & just surfing the net. It has considerable storage space as well as rather easy to upload from digital cameras & videos. I love the access to internet & access to tv, movies, internet tv.

i love my dell inspiron 1525 laptop! this is my first laptop & my first dell & i'm not sure if i'll ever own another brand again! i have nothing bad to say about it at all--it is wonderful! mine's jam-packed with thousands of my pictures & still works like a charm. this thing's got memory for days & never tears up. something happened last week & the screen (ahem) got broken. called dell & within 3 days a tech had my replacement screen & was calling wanting to come out to my house that very day to install it---free & under warranty! customer service like that never happens anymore. buy a dell!!!!!!!!

Now this Dell inspiron1525 was gifted to me by my hubby on feb 14th. This was just the apt gift for me being a computer savvy. Now what i love to do on Laptops is to watch movies, and the biggest disadvantage of the very system is the sound system. Now while watching a movie if there isnt pin drop slience then....thereeeee goes my movie. I have to keep shusssssing the people around me to hear the dialogues. Now recently say 2 weeks back i feel that the fan of my laptop is frequently switched on and make a real bad sound that has me and my hubby all concerned about its durability. But why i have given it a average rating is ithe color. i have this bright red beautiful one, that really looks very nice. And also the weight of the laptop. its quite light and portable. Even the battery life is quite impressive. So overall its a good system considering the fact that we bagged it for mere 450$ (yes guys jst 450$!!!)...And with a 4gb disk space (now that sound pretty too neat). So for all those...

The display did not show correctly. Dell's service tech. online help. The issue was dealt with quickly under the warranty.

I also had an issue with the power adapter witch was replaced.

My husband bought me this Dell laptop a year ago so that I wouldn't have to fight my 18 year old son for computer time. It is the first time I have ever used Windows VISTA and I am still not convinced that I like it any better than my old version on my PC. I do, however, love the convenience of my Dell laptop and love being able to transport it whenever and wherever I want to use it. I volunteer for a humanitarian organization and need access to my computer at all hours of the day and night so I can keep up my communications with people in Africa with whom I work. It is nice to have my laptop handy even at my bedside in case I need to email or Skype in the wee hours of the night. The only thing I don't love about this unit is that it came with a lot of stuff downloaded on it that I don't use which seems to slow it down a bit. I am going to spend some serious time figuring out how to remove those programs I don't currently utilize so that I can speed things up!

I like my dell Inspiron 1525. THis is the first laptop that I have owned. I have used some at work before but this is my first personal laptop. I have had it for over a year and have been pretty happy with it. The only problem I have run into is that a few months ago it started shutting down randomly. After calling their tech support and running some tests they updated my bios. That seemed to help for a few days but then it started shutting down again. Finally my husband cleaned it out and said the inside was full of dust. Since cleaning it I haven't had any problems with it! So if you have any issues, try cleaning the inside of it first before calling tech support! I got mine with the built in web cam and wouldn't go any other way. We love using it to chat with family long distance, it was worth the $25 upgrade to not have any extra bulk attached to the screen or extra wires for an external web cam. Would recommend it to anyone.

The item i am reviewing is the Dell inspiron - 1525 laptop and I love to use it!When my new computer arrived in the mail, I opened it and used iwithout any problems at all. This laptop came included with all of tthe programs I used on my old mac book... but it came with alot more than that. With my new Dell laptop, I can get on the internet, download all of my important pictures, data, music, and anything else faster than the mac. I also enjoyed the Windows Media Player that was included. That program made it easy to play all of the movies (DVD) that I ordered online. If I would have stayed with my boring, old, and useless mac, I would have been missing out on alot of things and programs that I did not even know about before I bought my new computer (laptop). I will recomend any of the Dell laptops to my freinds because of the quality that it has to offer. Thanks Dell for the best laptop in the world!
