i had the dell for about 6 months and the damn thing crashed so many time i lost count of it and then when i got it up and running again it finally crashed so bad that the mother board took a shit on me

Have had our Dell Dimension 3000 computer for almost 6 years now and its still going great. Love the Dell brand and would not trade it for anything else. Sometimes its a bit slow, but very user friendly. It was our first ever desktop computer and chose it due to others opinions. Very glad we did. We upgraded to a flat screen monitor and better speaker system...wow what a difference. Great sound quality and large monitor. Watch movies on it all the time. I dont know everything there is about computers, so when it came time to picking out one, like I said it was based on opinions from other friends and family. Very fast and good shipping. The computer arrived timely and undamaged and was very easy to set up and get all components installed. Easy to follow instructions with step by step guidelines. I would recommend this computer or any other Dell computer to everone I know. The customer support is also very helpful and has all the answers you need. Thanks Dell.

I had another brand name computer before my Dell and I was allways having trouble with it . When it came time to update, I went with this one. They are very good with helping out if I have any questions. It has a lot of useful features. I am not a pro, but over time and with practice I have learned how to use a lot of the features. One is down loading pictures from my digital camera onto the computer. Makes it easy to send to friends or I have a couple of websites that I order prints from. It is a lot cheaper than taking them to walmart except they do charge postage/ handling fee. I enjoy making my own greeting cards. The program lets me change the picture and the wording so I can say what I really want it to say. Also like the websites that have free e-mail greeting cards. With the price of postage , this is nice. I was told that postage was going up again in the spring. Learned how to download and burn my own CD the other day which was exciting for me. I have......

I was so excited when we ordered our Dell. That excitement ended after the first three months when I realized how much less I got in the package then my last computer. The constant freezing up and error messages is frustrating. For the amount of memory I purchased I should be able to get through one PC game without it shutting down for lack of virtual memory or script error. Don't even get me started on tech support or their customer service.

If I am ordering a computer and the picture says that it includes everything shown, then why would they argue with me that it did not include the monitor and refused to send me one without purchasing it.

I would recommend this computer to anyone who wants a family computer but not too high tech. The price is very acceptable and still supports rip and burn features....

Its easy to use and runs alright.But the tech support sucks.They wanted me to open the tower and pull a plug to see if it would start working again.The computer was less then a year old so the in home service was still good.They said that once I helped them find out what was wrong then they could order the part and send a tech guy out.Never will i own a dell again.How can they expect someone who has no idea what one wire from the other looks like do thier work....

This computer was the best bargain at the time where I needed a new computer -- I had a dell before and it lasted a good 5 years -- it was still running but I needed too many upgrades so I got another dell -- their customer service department is just awful -- but luckily I haven't needed them much! I also liked that you can customize the system to suit your needs......

I had this computer for under 3 years. With in the 2 1/2 years I had it. I had my motherboard, my power supply, and my hard drive stop working. I called dell. They sent a guy to replace all of it. Which to me you would think sending a whole new tower would be cheaper. This was only when it was about 14 months old. Then about amonth ago my motherboard stop working on me again. All I have to say it I will never own another dell. This is not the only problem with dells we had in my family. My mom got her dell the same day I did and her motherboard and hard drive stop working a month before mine did the first time. My sister also had a dell she got a christmas and the hard drive went bad before march. This only tells me they do not sell good parts. Sorry for rambling but I am not a very happy person over this....
