Dell customer service is awesome. Called them for service on my Dell computer and even though that my computer didn't have a sevice plan, they still forward me to a gentleman that helped me download the drivers for my computer. He even signed on to my computer remotely and helped me install the drivers to my computer.

My next computer will definitely be a Dell and I will pay for the additional service plan and highly recommend that anyone considering a computer purchase look no further than Dell. All of our computers in our office are Dell computers and after this positive experience with them, we will never buy anything else.

Not only is their customer service of utmost quality but the prices for their computers versus others is without compromise. And, they have been in business for a long time so they know the computer business.

I would not settle for anything less than a Dell computer and highly recommend settling for nothing less than the best when It comes to any computer...

I used this computer for two years

the speed is slower and slower, the noise is bigger and bigger

the screen is blur and blur, nothing is good only the price is low

after enough experience with PCs you probably could too (if already can). besides your choices are far from dell or gateway. it is a highly competative market. shop around...

i also recommend apple for the casual consumer, by the way. the features they want with the integration that simplifies and all nice and cozy within a friendly interface. great for people wanting to simplify their life.

i deeply regret helping my parents getting their new PC (been forever PC owners) -- they are simply too old and tied to their routines to really get the full use out of it anymore. they needed something to adapt to them, not them adapt to the machine... next time i force an apple upon them.

I purchased my Dell Computer about 4 years ago, and it's still going strong. It is starting to run a little slow, and I think it's time for an upgrade. If I were to buy another home computer and not a laptop, I would probably go with a Dell. Not positive though, I would do some comparison shopping first. My first home computer was a gateway, and that only lasted about two years. All the money I spent on the gateway, and I didn't get much use out of it. If you are looking to buy a computer at a reasonable price, with good quality, and sustainablity I would buy a Dell. The only bad thing about it is their customer support is horrible. When you call for help, you cannot understand a word the person is saying to you because they outsource the calls to India instead of having a customer service center in the United States, and they are very rude and unhelpful. Also if you need assistance they refer you to a number where you have to have a credit card to pay for that assistance. The......

I have tried lost of computers. I have tried Compaq, I have tried Hewlett Packard, when I first started working at the University of Dayton we used Mac's (I had to learn all about that) and I used a Mac for years there - until they switched to PC's. I currently own two Dell Computers, one is a desk top one is a laptop. Before that I owned a Dell and I bought my son a Dell Computer for his graduation. Don't get me wrong I am not a "must have a Dell or it's all wrong" kind of person but for approximately the past 8 years Dell Computers have given me and my family what we need in a personal computer when we need it and for the price we are willing to pay.

What I like about Dell Computers:

the website makes it easy to purchase what I want when I want it and get the answers I need to the products and services I am interested in
Dell Computers offer me all the products I need on my computer - though I admit that the Windows Vista thing through me for a loop at first
excellent customer...

I started out not being impressed with Dell but have changed my opinion since owning one. I bought it because it had all the things I wanted and needed in a computer for the business I have. So I bought it for those reasons and have found it to be very stable and everyhting it was stated to be. The Dell support is great and I have to say the one time I called I was impressed. Their website is easy to use too. All in all I have had a really good experience with my Dell laptop that I purchased last July.

Dell Computers

My experience with Dell computers has been with their laptops. My husband has always worked from home and here's how our computer pecking order goes. He buys a new computer for work, I get his hand me down (until I got my own Mac three years ago and now I don't want any hand me downs) and then they go to our oldest child and so on.

The good points about a Dell laptop is that they are reasonably priced and when you order one the sales department really seems to listen to what you need and don't need and you can get a Dell laptop just for you at a reasonable price.

Dell laptops will seem reasonably easy to use, have a decent battery time and a nice size keyboard. Those are the good points in addition to a good price.

However, if you are looking for a lap top to use long term, there are two things that I can point out that have happened consistently in our house with Dell lap tops that we have not seen with other lap tops, PCs or Macs: The key covers come off of Dell...

I shopped around for the best deal on a computer that had the features that I was looking for. The computer I ended up choosing was a Dell XPS 430 desktop. I am so happy with this computer. I can play any game I want to. I have never had a problem with playing any kind of video or game. The graphics are absolutely wonderful. This Dell XPS 430 came with a 24 inch flatscreen. My movies play in high definition. Since it is so fast I am able to surf the web better. I actually learned alot from this computer because when I have any kind of questions I can call Dell customer support and they will help until my question is answered. they were so nice and helpful by giving me step by step directions. It also came with a DVD burner which is also a very nice thing to have. I just love my Dell computer so much. The price was very reasonable. I am online all day everyday because there are endless possibilities thanks to my Dell.

We recently bought a new Dell tower from the Dell.com web site. We priced machines all over and we got the best machine for the lowest price with Dell.com. It's a fast machine and Dell has great customer service and tech support. I highly recommend Dell!

Dell provides a nice machine. I purchased a Dell in 2001 and I use it daily. The unit lasted 9 years. In fact I just had to trash it as it crashed. I would highly recommend a Dell to my family and Friends.

I got my first computer from dell when i started college and it's a great computer but its not good in the long term for me. my parents got so i could type papers or get my homework in if it was an online class. By the time I was in my second year my disc drive didn't work anymore so if i had something i need to bring to class i had to have it in an email and save it when i got to a computer. that was before i found out about flash drives. I find that these computers get alot of viruses but that just might be my computer so take that how you will. I mean i had to spend $80 to find that out and ended up having delete everything off my computer and i couldn't even save any of it. I like to get music from itunes since i don't need it for school anymore and there isn't enough space so i have to take songs off because my computer gets slowed down. I can't have too much stuff on it like programs or toolbars since it just messes everything up. I can't say that Dell is the best computer...

I have owned three Dell Inspiron computers and am useing one currently. In the past I have had mine and my husbands computer hand built. I also purchased one already ready. But the last three Dells I have purchased, I purchased on line and have been completely satisfied.

I was able to build the computer with all the features that I wanted every time. And their service is absolutley excellent.

In the past I have had to take my computers in to be repaired and would be without a computer for several days and once for weeks. Not with Dell. We were on vacation in Phoenix, Az when my older Dells CD drive went out. I called Dell and the next day a repair man came to my motorhome and fixed it within in a few minutes. What great service.

I just ordered the XPS Studio desktop from Dell and love it. I have the 23' monitor with the webcam and VISTA processing system. It really runs fast and has so many new features and back up systems to protect my data.

I own a Dell desktop and laptop also. I like the computers, although the anti-virus software they come with (McAffe) does not stop any viruses! I've had to reboot my whole system multiple times to get rid of the viruses until I purchased Norton. Ever since, I haven't had a problem with viruses. But, overall, Dell computers are a good deal as long as you're prepared to buy a new anti-virus software BEFORE you use it.

I am reviewing Dell computers. I like Dells because they can withstand the test of time. I have been using my current Dell for about six years. It still functions as it did when it was purchased. the sales person on the phone was very good and asked the right questions. He asked who would be using the computer. When he heard me say that I had children, Middle and High school aged, he suggested that I pay a little more in order to accommodate everyone's use. At that time, the cost was $1,200.00. I believe most pcs would cost a little less now.

My son has replaced the DVD/CD burner and the printer since we bought it. But that was due to heavy use by friends and family as well. We have not had to service it otherwise. We have been able to upgrade to Vista and replace the keyboard and mouse to wireless. It is still a great computer.

We also use Dell computers at work and they serve us well. I'm hooked on Dell!
