<p>I bought this cause at the time i just need a cheap printer. and lets just say not worth it the first one brke within a few months then i bought the same one since i had new ink cartrages for the first one well the second one only lasted nine months so longer than the first but after that i gave up and bought an hp printer. so it deffinatly is not worth the money if you have to buy a new one every six to nine months espically since i dont do alot of printing so im not sure why it kept breaking. plus dell's coustemer service is horrible! It was eaier just to buy a replace ment than to get anyone one the phone at dell! it also used alot of ink whick you can only buy through dell which is bad if you wait till the last second to buy ink and really need to print something. pluse the ink seamed so expensive the ink would cost more than the printer. so in my opinion you get what you pay for and thats not much in this case</p>...

This Dell 926 All in One printer is very easy to use. I love that I can do everything with it. I even love that I am able to just put my memory card from my camera right into the slot and in minutes my pitcures are loaded. It prints clearly and does not take very long either....

Love this new All In One. I was a bit sceptical at first, but since receivingit, we use it ever day. It does great photos, and for everyday printing copying it does the job. Give it a try, you'll like it too!...

I bought one for myself and now one for my wife. Great little machine for occasional home use. The only problem is the price of ink. However that has been true of every printer I have owned....

Although the Dell 926 All in one makes great copies, it sometimes needs to be rebooted in order to work.... I get a lot of error messages and the thing drinks ink! Plus the price of the ink is exhorbitant. I think there are better deals on the market...

When this printer did work, I loved it! However, the working time was very limited! Seemed to go through ink rapidly. The rear paper feeder seems to be a very poor design. Overall, I would say I was very disappointed!...

<p>My Dell 4-in-one came with my new computer as part of a total package. I like the 4-in-one very much and would love to be able to use its features more freely. However, using it as a printer or copier is ridiculous because of the prohibitive cost of the printer cartridges -- you can't refill them, and generic substitutes won't work. There must be a chip or something in the cartridges so that if you remove one to try refilling or replacing it with anything other than an authentic Dell cartridge the unit refuses to function. BUT (and this is what disturbs me no end) buying those cartridges directly from Dell is overly expensive. Doesn't that mean that Dell has control over your buying? Isn't that illegal? Doesn't that at least hint at monopoly? I have resorted to doing all my printing on a little Lexmark that I purchased from Wal-Mart for practically peanuts, that allows me to refill its cartridges, and does that one job just fine. Of course, I have to keep switching the...</p>...

dinkie33 says "it has lots of functions, but not user friendly" about Dell 926 All in One

<p>This printer (or the user manual that accompanies the printer) is not extremely user friendly. For example, the display screen presents error codes with no description. The user's manual does not describe the error message and there are no listed steps to take to rectify the situation. When attempting to troubleshoot, errors are still unable to be resolved. To improve the quality and user-friendliness of this product, I would recommend a description of the error that is occurring, rather than a simple code. If a code must be used, then the user manual and online resources should be updated to include a description of these codes.</p>...

I own a Dell 946 AIO, which is just a step up from the 926 - comes with an automatic document feeder and I think that's about the only difference. In six months, I have run through 5 black ink cartridges and am on my 3rd color cartridge. Each cartridge averages about 200 pages (and costs about $20-25 each!!), and while today's inkjet cartridges are not known for their capacity, Dell's capacity is low compared to HP, Canon, etc. The cartridges are expensive and can only be purchased through Dell, which means you have to plan ahead since they have to be shipped from Dell; no running down to the local office supply store to pick one up if you run out sooner than you thought you would. The printer does have a counter of approximately how many pages you have left, but some cartridges print more pages than the counter says, and some print less. If you like using remanufactured inkjet cartridges, good luck finding a company that does them for Dell. The cost-per-page for printing is......
