this is a wonderful product. i would use it everyday if i had one. i think everyone should own one. its good to have at your house. it would be a great present to give to someone too. my mother had one. i loved it. i stayed warm and cozy. lol. i think if walmart, target, and many other stores such as kohls and everyone sold it for a good price it could become very popular.if everyone could just get one of these and try it out. i heard that they also sale it on ebay. i mean i would have one in everyroom, well if i could. prices are kind of crazy but i think if they fixed that problem they could have such a great amount of people buy these great things. these stores could make great money on these. how could you miss out on having one of these. why wouldn't you have one of these. they are fantastic. i think im going to get my self one pretty soon. they are great to have a safe and save you a high electric bill.
...

Have you ever tried any other DeLonghi product? I have tried the Delonghi cappacino machine and also another DeLonghi kitchen appliance. I was really surprised when I got this heater as a gift and it works really well. This heater does not take much space in my room. The on /off setings and heat register is easy touse and the heat fills the whole room for hours. Some heaters work and then they cut off due to thier bulit in cooling system. I was pleasantly surprised because this heater barely takes up any space and it is not an eye sore so it's presence is not embarrassing. The only ting to be careful with here is the use of the oil,but I do it myself and I beleiev that you can too. Also with most heaters thier is an incredible fire risk with the Delonghi there is no rire risk. Like I said if you have company you do not have to be embarrassed because it is quiet and can fit into a fairly small space. The only thing that is inconvenient is that it takes a while to heat up,but...
...

This is the best space heater I have ever owned! It is very well built, we have had ours for quite some time now. We used to heat the garage with it in the winter in Florida, but recently we've moved to NC and have been using it to heat the living room/dining room/kitchen area of our home instead of running the central (more expensive) heat. Our last power bill was considerably less, and this heater has done a fantastic job of keeping the house warm. We have it in a very large room and it does well. The fact that it uses oil to heat instead of heating elements makes me feel safer as it is not a fire hazard. The timer feature is quite convenient, as you can set it to turn on or off according to your needs. It is safer than average space heaters and it does a much better job, that sets it above the rest in my book! I would definitely recommend this heater for anyone, it is an outstanding product well worth the money.
...

When living in the Santa Cruz Mountain my residence was a small cottage that had no central heat. I needed a way to heat the cottage as it did not sit on the ground. The cottage was raised off the ground at least one foot so the air flowed freely below the cottage. In the winter I could barely get the temperature above 55F.

I found the DeLonghi Radiator Oil Heater and it made it possible to heat the cottage and be comfortable. It isn't as if I wanted the temperature to be 70+. Just comfortable. This was the answer to this particular problem.

Living aboard a rather large sailboat also has particular issues. The mean temperature of the water is roughly 55F so that affects the temperature in the sailboat. We purchased a DeLonghi Radiator Oil Heater and it resolved the lack of heat. I can't praise DeLonghi enough for the quality and performance of their DeLonghi Radiator Oil Heater. My cat even loved the heater. She would sit right in front of the heater with her little paws beneath and soak...
...

The delonghi space heater was not what I expected. It is quite heavy to manuever. It does get the room hot however at what cost. Your electric bill will be quite costly. So you think your saving money but your really not. I used it just to get the room toasty then would shut it off. Good for smaller compact rooms. The coils get very hot so not good if you have pets or small children.
...

I have enjoyed our DeLonghi Oil Filled Heater since last winter, we recently started using it again as fall sets in and along with the usual smell of the first few times of use...I contribute that to the dust mostly. There was a strong odor that I did not remember from last use. While in the garage today I smelled it again, so I picked up the extension cord it is plugged into it smelled fine and was not hot to touch, we had plugged it in to a heavy duty extension cord (same as last year) as the outlet itself is hard to get at. As I put the cord down the plug on the heater started smoking like crazy and the smell was horrendous. Needless to say I was shocked and unplugged the two from each other immediately. The cord to the DeLonghi is fried. I'm freaking out now. The smell is lingering in the garage. I should mention here that we have used that same extension cord for many other uses and have never had a problem with it before. My question? Was it a faulty product, faulty cord, something...
...

Other than the sun itself, or a romantic fireplace, I would have to say that The DeLonghi Oil Heater is my favorite heating source. My husabnd and I lived in small apartments in San Francisco for twenty years. We first purchased a Delonghi when we had a landlord that was parsimonious with heat. There was no major increase in our electric bill with a DeLonghi.

Five years ago when we bought our home in Oregon we thought our heating oil bill was too high so we decided to try heating with Delonghi again. It was much more economical to get a DeLonghi Oil Heater for each room than to use the electric heating system that came with the house.

The Delonghi Oil Heater does not operate on oil. It is electric. The oil is contained inside. When pluggged in and turned on the oil heats up and spreads through the radiator like heater. The oil cannot spill out or overhead. So the Delonghi is much safer than other types of space heaters.
...

We have one of these heaters. During the winter it works great in a small room, but in bigger rooms it doesn't really seem to do much. My husband used it in his shop which is approximately 12 foot long and it worked ok there. The Delonghi Oil Heater is good for little jobs and doesn't put off any kind of odor that we can tell. It has 2 settings to make it user friendly a dial for how much or little heat you may want and is on wheels so its easily moved from one space to the other. We like to keep our centralheat turned down as low as possible in the winter to save on gas heating bills and this little heater has saved us alot of money in allowing us to be able to turn down the furnace and still have a sufficient amount of heat in the room. We bought it 5 years ago and it has gone through all of our winters with us without any problems at all. It has really been a great value for the money that we paid. We plan on using it again this winter. If it were to give up on us then...
...
