Dad's Pregnant Too! is th first edition of a pregnancy book from a guy's perspective geared towards fathers-to-be written by Harlem Cohen.

The information is well researched set with some humorous tones. I can see how this book would keep a guy's attention. Much of Mr. Cohen's book covers quite a variety of different scenarios. I was surprised at how much this book covers; not just informationally, but the emotional needs and supportiveness suggestions given.

I like that Mr. Cohen not only collected doctoral interviews, but also information given by dads, moms and parents-to-be. That was probably what gave this book edge it needed, with respect to sharing personal stories of emotional, hormonal and support experiences, that many pregnancy books don't tell you about.

The author discusses the various delivery options, including birthing centers, home birthes, midwives and doulas. He even goes so far as to discuss the necessary health insurance coverage options, another...
...

jasyjen says "A pregnancy book written for men. The first of it's kind!" about Dad's Pregnant Too!

Dad's Pregnant too! is a one of a kind read, that should be given to all expectant fathers. Written by a man, the advice and tips included in this book are very unique. A father-to-be could read ten different pregnancy books, and not be as prepared for living with a pregnant woman as he would be by reading this ONE book.

Dad's Pregnant too!combines humor, knowledgeable information, and commentaries by men and women that have been through pregnancy, labor, and all the confusion in between. Reading the description of the varies types of pregnant women & expectant fathers is very entertaining, while also being extremely helpful. Here are a few examples of what I mean:

Chapter 5 is about "The body of the pregnant woman." (like puberty all over again)

The body of the pregnant woman

The big-breasted pregnant woman

The vomiting pregnant woman

The feeling fat pregnant woman

The farting pregnant woman

The hemorrhoidal leaky pregnant woman

And so on......the author of the book, Harlan Cohen, really...
...

SpokaneMan says "Dad's Pregnant Too! A Wonderful and Educational Book for Men" about Dad's Pregnant Too!

I received a copy of Dad's Pregnant Too!,thinking that it could turn out to be a good tool to helping me learn the ins and outs of pregnancy, and maybe be able to help out my wife a little bit along the way. The end result of the time that I spent reading this well constructed book is that I feel much more knowledgeable not only about what my contributions need to be during and after the pregnancy, but how to help my wife out even more than I knew how to before I picked it up. This ended up being quite a valuable book for me, and I think I can speak from experience, as I have picked up a few books over the past few months, and this one has given me the best perspective from a guys point of view.

Author Harlan Cohen lends Readers a Helping Hand

The best thing about this book is that author Harlan Cohen relates knowledge through his experiences and that of people he has come to know over the years. In doing this, he is able to show exactly what methods of preparation have worked the best,...
...

Meredith posted this little book on a discussion thread last December and I agreed to read and review it. I am so glad that I did! Harlan Cohen, bestselling author, expectant father as well as a new Dad has outdone himself in "Dad's Pregnant, Too!"

The book gives the reader very wise advice and information with a twist of wit. He incorporates 102 "tips" in three parts: The Tip, The Story and the Bottom Line. From conception, first "guyne" exam, the growing fetus, birth and what he calls "The Fourth Trimester" [bringing the baby home] Harlan sees the journey of partnership with his wife as a fun and wondrous trip. Interspersed throughout the book are tidbits of helpful information like car seat buying essentials, Top Five Hidden Home Hazards and ideas for "PUSH" presents. There is an illustrated section of the baby's weekly growth, a Dad's dictionary and resource guide. He leaves Tip #103 for your own story.

The author points out that women have had thousands of years of......
