I first received DHC Velvet Skin Coat as a sample in a DHC catalog that I got in my mailbox. I was intrigued from the moment I read their claims. It seemed impossible that any product would really do so much. I have even more reason to be a skeptic as well because I seem to be born with the body that none of the scientists bore in mind when they came up with all their 'miracle cures.'

I started by opening the package and squeezed a small dab on my finger. It felt grainy and rough to my fingers. I smoothed it over my face and it really did make my face feel smooth! It erased all of the raises and indentions on my face. I wore it out the first day just by it's self and people kept telling me that my face looked a lot healthier. You could still see my blemishes, but it seemed that there is more to an unhealthy face than blemishes.

The next day I applied it again. I didn't really expect a repeat performance of the day before because it seems that my skin get's used to...

I was skeptical when I first purchased it-- wondering if it was really ALL THAT. I have to say-- it leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft and smooth. Makeup goes on better and lasts longer. It is a bit expensive, but I think the results are worth it.

After applying DHC Velvet Skin Coat, my initial reaction was "wow, this really feels nice." I'm used to makeup products promising the entire world but only delivering a small country. In this case, DHC Velvet Skin Coat lived up to its promise.

What is DHC Velvet Skin Coat?

After washing my face, applying toner and a lightweight gel moisturizer, I smoothed a a couple of drops of DHC Velvet on my skin. My skin felt incredibly smooth--and most important for my oily/combination skin--not greasy. I then dusted my Bare Minerals foundation over my face, which resulted in a fresh, air-brushed look. Even after an evening out, my makeup held up better than it did before using DHC Velvet.

Overall, I am a big fan of DHC Velvet Skin Coat and I will definitely buy it again. It's a great primer...

I have tried TONS of cremes and so far the DHC Velvet skin coat is the ONLY ONE I have ever gotton comments on. People tell me how smooth and nice my skin looks and it doesn't feel greasy.

First of all, I don't wear make-up due to my job not allowing it. My face is combo but with dry and sensitive patches. At 35 I still have breakouts and large pores.

This does make me break out more, so I only wear it once in awhile. I have tried it with a mostiurize under it, and also anti breakout creme too, but to no avail. Though the way it makes my skin look it is almost worth it.

DHC velvet skin coat is the best product around for your face, in my opinion. It leaves your skin looking like you are wearing a nice light foundation, but there isn't any color to it. And it evens out the texture, makes it soft and smooth. My sister has eczema on her face and it covered that so that makeup covered it completely.
I gave it maximum stars, if you consider how great it works it's really inexpensive, plus the company is great about sending lots of product samples.

I use a lot of DHC products but the Velvet Skin Coat is wonderful. My skin is a bit dry so after I wash and moisturize I put on my Velvet Skin Coat and it looks great and best of all it feels GREAT. I've noticed that I have a habit of feeling my skin when I am wearing Velvet Skin Coat because it feels so soft. To me this is a little bit expensive but I truly love it and will keep buying it....

DHC velvet skin coat is one of the best products I have ever used. As a 40-something lady, who generally skips make-up altogether, this stuff is perfect. It is lightweight, smooth and easy to apply. Then comes the magic.... blurs the fine lines, erases pores and creates the illusion of younger, flawless skin, even if you don't apply make-up over the product. If you do apply foundation, it glides on easily and stays longer. I don't spend a lot of time in front of the mirror, but when I want to look fabulous, I reach for DHC velvet skin coat.

DHC's velvet skin coat is a great product that does exactly what it promises. It minimizes lines, makes makeup application easier, and minimizes the look of pores. It prepares my face for makeup by making my skin feel just like velvet! I would recommend it to anyone who has oily skin. This was the first time EVER that I didn't end the day without looking like a grease slick. I didn't require any touchups to my face all day, no blotting powder or blotting sheets. Also, I have oily eyelids, and usually by the end of the day, my eyeshadow has been melted away (who knows where it goes!). But not with velvet skin coat. I was pleasantly surprised that it kept all my makeup in place. I was considering buying the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, but this is a much better deal because this can be applied to my entire face, not just my eyelids. Also, this is good to use on days when you don't wear any foundation or powder. It minimizes the look of my pores, and makes my bare skin look more......

I received a sample for this product in a catalog mailing and the first time I used it, I wanted to use it every day. It feels like powder when being applied and when on it makes the skin look smooth and flawless. It is a great makeup primer, making makeup last longer. Price is reasonable....

I am a new review writer and it takes a lot for me to find a product that does what it actually says it does but this is absolutely fabulous! The name alone describes this product to a tee! The first time I put this on my skin it worked- no waiting for two weeks of application and numerous purchases. The little bit that was on my hand after applying it , I used like a hand cream. LOVELY!!! I am 52 and have been on the hunt for something to make my skin feel like it did years ago. There are tons of stuff to help wrinkles but your face still feels sticky or oily or tight- this is so great gals! You do have to order on line at DHCcare.com. Trust me when I tell you, this is amazing stuff! It is only $20.00!!! lasts forever!...
