My mother was the first in our family to give one of these coffeemaker machines a try. I silently envied her, because I thought it was *such* a splurge and statement to sit on her counter in all it's glory!

I put this coffeemaker on my "wish list" and went about my business for at least a couple more years, quietly longing to someday own my very own Cuisinart Grind and Brew. Then that day came--it was a snowing fall day--and I said "That's it! I'm buying one." And I logged on to smartbargains.com to purchase one. Though they come in several different models and colors; and have different options in caraffes...I wanted the stainless steel and black one, with the thermal caraffe that automatically shut off when it stopped brewing. (I'm one of those high-strung folks who thinks that I've left something on everytime I leave the house and I try to buy products that have auto-shut offs to help my neurosis :)

this coffee maker is really great in many ways. I love that I can make 2 to 12 cups and that when I set the cup number, it automatically knows how much to grind. I can set it for light, medium, or strong coffee. I can set it the night before to turn on automatically. I can use pre-ground coffee or coffee beans. Beans can be stored in the top container and not have to be added for each use. The only negative I have for this coffee maker is that the grinder is incredibly loud. If my husband starts it with the grinder in the morning while I'm asleep, it wakes me up every time. I wish Cuisinart could find a way to insulate the grinder to keep the noise level down.

I have had mine for about 6 years!

I have replaced the carafe 3 times. The 1 first replacement cost me $30 from Cuisinart.com and took 4 weeks to get to me. Ridiculous!

The next two came from Kitchen Specialty stores near me. You have get a pause and brew lid for it to work properly!!

The grinder is awesome though the whole thing is a pain to clean/ My grinder collects condensationa nd can be quite a mess.

All in all I love this coffee maker and will be buying another one soon!!

Cuisinart grind and brew 12 cup coffee maker is the only coffee maker I will have in my home. It makes an excellent cup of coffee. I have tried many and this comes out on top. You can guarantee every pot will be great and clean up is easy.

I use the Kirkland whole beans made for them by Starbucks for the best cup you can ever want.

I love my Cuisinart Grind and Brew 12 cup coffeemaker! I can try all different kinds of coffee beans in it and they all taste great. I love strong coffee, so I add about 1 teaspoon more than the directions state. I've had this coffeemaker for quite a few years and have replaced the gold filter cup. I ordered it on line and it came very quickly.

If you love great, fresh coffee, the grind and brew is the one for you!

You can also program it the night before and wake up to the delightful smell of fresh coffee beans!

The Cuisinart Grind and Brew is absolutely the best coffee maker on the market as far as I'm concerned. You just add the whole coffee beans as you add your water, and it grinds them automaticly. You also have the option to use ground coffee if you do not wish to use whole beans. I love the carafe instead of a pot sitting on a burner that cooks the coffee down. The carafe keeps the coffee hot for a long time. It is still warm the next morning! The coffee maker is programable, so your coffee is ready when you get up in the morning. It also has a built in charcoal water filter that improves the taste of the coffee. The coffee maker and carafe have a stainless steel finish and is very attractive in your kitchen. It comes with a permanent coffee filter which is also a nice touch. It is very easy to clean, and also very easy to program. I highly reccomend this coffee brewing station to anyone. I love mine.

I loved this coffe maker however...after 1.5 years the motor went in the grinder. Generally speaking stores do not take them back if you want a replacement, must go thru manufacturer. That was fine, i dealt with already ground coffee until 1.5 years later when the resevoir started leaking all over my counter top...

All in all, my fault, should have dealt with Cuisinart from the start. Great machine though.

Cuisinart Grind and Brew....

I love my Starbucks Coffee. The grind and brew is the simpliest and least messy method that I have ever found in order to have this privileged delite at home in the mornings.

I used to have a separate coffee bean grinder which preserved the wonderful taste of fresh beans, but it meant grinding in one recepticle then transferring the ground coffee to my coffee maker. How happy I was when they came out with a reasonably priced at home type coffee maker that was good at first grinding the beans then brewing the coffee, and easy to clean up.

My first machine that did this was a foreign brand that was imported and very costly...the grinder broke on my first two and they couldn't or wouldn't fix it for me...in the mean time I happened upon this Cuisinart and it has never failed me. It has the programable features, but I feel that making my coffee the night before is self defeating, I love the smell of the fresh beans in the morning and as exposure to air...

Purchased my second Cuisinart Grind and Brew in black/ stainless in January. I have seen them in white and red also. They do have ones with thermal coffee pot, but I didn't feel it was worth the additional cost. The first one lasted about three years. I love this coffee pot. It comes with a washable filter and also a filter for your water. It is programmable and has a setting to make a 1/2 pot. Auto shut off after two hours. You can also turn the grinder off if you have pre ground coffee. It takes about one minute a day to clean out the grinder, so no big deal. I take my coffee pot on vacation with us I love it so much. I have two complaints the first is that it is the loudest coffee pot I have ever heard. My poor aunt that we stayed with thougt a helicopter was landing in her backyard! My second complaint is there is not a setting to adjust the grind. Other than those it is the perfect coffee pot!
