My boyfriend makes ice cream in the CuisinArt Ice Cream Maker all of the time. It is a quick and easy way to make homemade ice cream. He has a great recipe that also makes it low fat and low in sugar, but it tastes awesome. It reminds of being a kid when Mom and Dad would have homemade ice cream on special family get togethers. But, with the CuisinArt Ice Cream Maker, you don't have to wait for a special occasion, it is so easy that you can have it anytime.

Making your own ice cream is great because you can control what you put in it. So, if you love ice cream but want to control the fat or sugar, the CuisinArt Ice Cream Maker is a convenient and easy way to make the ice cream you love.

The CuisinArt Ice Cream Maker does not require ice and salt like the old fashioned ice cream makers. You can just keep the container in the freezer so it is ready when you are ready to make homemade ice cream. It only takes about 20 to 30 minutes for the ice cream to be ready to eat.

The CuisinArtc Ice Cream Maker is a fun and easy way to make ice cream and you get a great product when done. All the peices fit together and come apart easily, making the CuisinArt Ice Cream Maker easy to use and a piece of cake to clean. The freezer bowl takes a little while to freeze enough to work well, but as long as you think ahead (or store the bowl in the freezer) you'll be fine. The CuisinArt Ice Cream Maker comes with some great receipies for a variety of frozen treats, not just ice cream, and the receipies are great. The receipie book also comes with tips and tricks of how to make some of the ice creams with less fat.

Although the CuisinArt Ice Cream Maker is a uni-tasker and doesn't get used as much as some of my other small appliances, homemade ice cream is a fun, delicious treat and well worth keep the appliance around. I got it as a wedding gift and highly recommned it to others to give as a wedding gift.
...

So when my wife said that she'd like to try and make icecream at home, I started researching my options. I was drawn to the CuisinArt ICE 20 as it had some excellent reviews. Now there are bigger and better models of icecream makers out there, but if you are just "playing" around with making ice cream this is the way to go.

Makes an excellent churned icecream with little work, and the cleanup is remarkably easy. You pour in the batter, plug it in, and check on it occasionally. Two things to remember though...one is that you MUST freeze the chiller bowl for at least 4 hours before starting the project. Overnight is better. Second, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT OVERFILL. Ignore the fill line...less is more in this case as the icecream batter will expand as it freezes. I learned this the hard way.

Cleanup is easy, though I recommend washing this one in the sink rather than risking it in the dishwasher.

Another excellent CuisinArt product!
...

The CuisinArt Ice Cream Maker works great and is fun to use. I remember making ice cream in girl scouts as a kid, which involved two coffee cans, on inside the other, some salt and ice and kicking the cans up and down a hill. The CuisinArtc Ice Cream Maker is a much funner and easier way to make ice cream and you get a great product when done.

The Cuisinart Ice Cream maker makes a great quart of ice cream, if used properly. My most common flubs are becuase of not waiting for the chamber to cool properly, not putting in cold enough ingredients (DO NOT PUT IN WARM CREAM, IT WILL NOT FREEZE), and issues of texture for sorbets and gelatos.

This is not a gelato maker and it cannot create the stuff. It is absolutely wonderful for making ice cream with coconut milk for those who are lactose intolerant. A favorite recipe: two cans of coconut milk and one container of nutella. Combine the ingredients on the stoke and whisk until fully incorporated. Place in freezer to cool down to around 32 degrees, then put in the ice cream maker. It comes out smooth, creamy, and chocolate-hazlenutty. The ice cream maker is very easy to use and to clean. I would definitely reccomend it to anyone who would like to make their own ice cream, sorbet, or frozen drinks. For about $50, it is a great deal.
...

Love this little ice cream maker. My daughter and I have tried many varieties made with pudding, cream, and some with fresh fruit. It is quick and easy as long as you keep the container in the freezer. Also, with our household trying to eat healthier, we can control what goes into our ice cream without a lot of "extra" additives. Kids love to help make their own creations.
...

This was actually a gift. Neither my wife nor I have any inkling about how to make Ice cream. Which was just as well as this machine is very easy to use. We have a two year old granddaughter in the house and she loves getting to act grown up and helping in the kitchen. This is perfect to share with the kids. Even the toddlers can join in the fun.

My daughter had wanted to make all kinds of fancy ice cream in this thing like Chai, and Pumpkin Latte and the like and I'm sure it will be great for those exotic things too. We just made old fashioned strawberry after a day at the U-pick farm and rewarded ourselves with this treat. It's great for the kids to learn where things actually come from. I'm sure you will never go back to store bought afterward. The little pixie refuses any ice cream she has not personally made herself.

This is a great machine for oneself but is even better when having a dinner party or spending time with family.

Highly recommend.

This ice cream maker is incredibly easy to use and makes amazing ice cream and sorbet. All you need to do is put the bowl in the freezer overnight, then mix the ingredients and place it on the base for about 20-30 minutes. The flavor choices are endless. I've expiremented with some candies and liqueur's and they've all been delicious. The ice cream will last a few weeks in the freezer and I reccomend getting plastic containers similar to this: http://www.instawares.com/fabri-kal-alur-16oz-apet-clear-deli-container.fabrd16.0.7.htm to store it. They give you a recipe book so you can make vanilla and chocolate, as well as some sorbets and other ice cream flavors, and adding ingredients is easy. The chocolate ice cream with a shot or two of Amarula liqueur is delicious. Clean up is really easy. It's melted ice cream in the bowl so it will just wash off quickly. Then just leave it to be completely dry and throw the bowl back in the freezer over night.
...

Easy to use but freezes too hard around the outer layer at the start so that you loose some of the cream when you are done (have to chizel it away from the sides when done). Don't really think that it made a good quality ice cream - I think that it would be better off and cheaper to buy store bought. It does make good sorbets - becuaue the mix for sorbet is icier than Ice cream, the end result if closer to the real stuff. Mine came with 2 freezers which is a nice bonus.
...

I wanted an ice cream maker for quite some time and finally received this as a gift. First trial was Pumpkin Ice Cream and it was out of this world. The core of the bowl froze easily, easy to follow ice cream recipes from the Cuisinart site and the book included with the machine. Softserve in 20 minutes, freeze it up and let it get hard for a hard scoop ice cream.

Allows me to be inventive, creative and control what is going in to my ice cream and into my body.

You'll use it more if you always keep the bowl in the freezer ready to go for a new batch.

...

We just got the Cuisinart ICE-20, and we love it. We keep the bowl in the freezer all the time, since the major downside is that you have to freeze the bowl for 6-22 hours before each batch. Clean-up is very easy, and it freezes ice cream fast. (Just remember that homemade ice cream from any ice cream maker is going to be soft serve consistency until you let it ripen in your freezer.) Definitely the best gel canister on the market according to all the reviews I've seen....

It was a wonderful accituve for the family. It takes over night to freeze the continer but only 20 minutes to make. You just have to plan ahead the night before or everyone gets diappointed....
