Bought this to make a recipe I saw on food channel. Loved the ice cream and how easy it was to make. The basic recipe is great and adding flavors makes the difference. I liked it so much I got one for my daughter and she used it this weekend.It is sooo easy, just mix the ingredients in a bowl to dissolve the sugar and place it in frozen bowl from maker. Turn it on and in 20-25 minutes you have really creamy and tasty ice cream.

We purchased this ice cream maker about six months ago and we LOVE it! We have made chocolate ice cream, peach ice cream, blueberry icecream, and mocha/chocolate chunk ice cream to name a few!

We purchased this as an impulse buy at Sam's Club. I usually read reviews before making a purchase like this, but it was a great buy, we had the money, and I trusted the Cuisenaire brand. When I got home, I looked up some reviews and got nervous after reading many reviews which claimed that the ice cream wouldn't get thick enough. Fortunately, there were also many reviews describing what to do to get the ice cream just right!

Here our our secrets to sucess: First, make your mix an hour or so ahead of time. I usually mix everything in a ziplock bag, press out the air, and place it in the fridge. Maybe 30 minutes or so before making the ice cream I lay the bag flat in the freezer. I'm not looking to freeze the bag solid, but to get it VERY cold. If it freezes a bit around the edges...

I have really enjoyed my Cuisinart ice cream maker. It is quick and easy, and in about 35 minutes I have fresh ice cream in any flavor I can dream up. It works very well, is fairly quiet, and easy to clean up. I always leave the bowl in the freezer so it is ready when we get a craving for ice cream. Also, it works well for us because we do not eat ice cream all the time so when we buy cartons they tend to get freezer burn before we can finish them. The only negative I can think of is that it takes about a day in my deep freezer for the bowl to completely freeze. The recipes need revising....

I received the Cuisinart ICE-30BC 2 Quart Ice Cream Maker at my bridal shower a couple of months ago. My husband was the one who told me to add it to the registry... interestingly enough I am the one who decided to try it out the past two weekends. After two attempts at making a frozen dessert, I'm not yet impressed with this machine.

I guess I was expecting this to be something like a bread-maker where you just dumped all of the ingredients into it and walked away for a couple of hours. Wrong. You need to juice fruit, create simple syrup, puree berries, etc. to get the mix ready for the Cuisinart ICE-30BC 2 Quart Ice Cream Maker. The first recipe that I tried required simple syrup which took about 30 minutes to make and then another couple of hours to completely chill in the fridge. You need to really read the recipe carefully so you can budget enough time to make the ice cream, frozen yogurt, or sorbet and have it ready for dessert.

Finding ice cream that is low in lactose, for those of us who can't tolerate it, has been a challenge. (Bryers makes a version in Vanilla only that is 99% lactose free). So i decided to try making my own ice cream at home.

This ice cream maker did a fine job of making me a treat that I could enjoy.

Follow the directions closely though as to how full to fill the container, my first batch was too big and overflowed from the machine as it froze--a big mess.

Also don't expect to make ice cream right away when you open the box, the bowl must be frozen first, then re-frozen to make another batch. This is the one issue I have with it. Somehow I was expecting it to be part of the process that machine handled. Also, since I have to keep the bowl frozen, it takes up lots of room in my freezer. The only other things are that you have to dirty another bowl to pre-mix the milk and the sugar and the thing is very noisy. I have to put it in the laundry room if I expect to hear the...
