My husband purchased the Cuisinart Griddler GR1 Panini Sandwich Press as a birthday present for me. Little did we know he would become the panini master in our household.

We absolutely love this product. It heats up quickly and makes perfect sandwiches everytime. It seems to cook evenly and doesn't take too long to toast the sandwiches.

While this may seem like one of those kitched appliances you use a few times and then it sits in a cabinet to be forgotten about - this is one that we consistently use. It is so easy to whip up different sandwiches and my family finds them much more enticing if they have been toasted! It really has become a staple for those busy weeknights or weekend lunches.

I have also found that it gets a lot of use when I am out of town as my husband - who is not a cook - loves to use it to make evening meals. My only complaint is that it can be tough to clean and you can only make 2 sandwiches. When it was just us that was perfect, but now that...

Recently I asked my spouse what I she would like for Saturday dinner wherein we traditionally have something quick and fun. She said we should try Panini sandwich's made with our George Foreman grill; only problem: we no longer have a George Foreman grill. So I improvised. The resulting sandwiches were tasty but not exactly Panini's from the Corner Bakery, or Panara Bread.

So we decided purchase a standalone Panini sandwich press. Problem: which one? I decided on the Cuisinart Griddler GR1 Panini Sandwich Press; it came very high recommended on Amazon.com.
