The little plastic mechanism in the bowl handle that activates the motor does not always work. I have spent too much money on the extra parts to get new bowls and lids to activate the switch. Also, one of the special blades that I bought that was supposed to fit the machine is just a little too big for the lid to fit on top. My opinion is that the plastic mechanism and spring to activate the motor is just a very poor design. Will probably switch to Kitchenaid if all the other Cuisnart processors use the same mechanism.

I love everything that Cuisinart makes, I have their pans and food processors the most. They are really expensive but well worth it. It can handle large quantities and can even knead bread dough. It sometimes makes some scary noises when you are making dough but it powers through everything. I use mine for making pesto, tart dough and everything else. It chops vegetables beautifully and purees like a dream. I definitely think this is an investment piece. If you like to cook this is a must-have. I can't imagine not having this gadget in my kitchen. I use it for so many things and it is just a nice kitchen appliance to look at. It is aesthetically pleasing and definitely accents a nice kitchen. I enjoy using it and would definitely recommend this product to other cooking lovers. Once you get one, you cannot imagine life without it. I love having it in my kitchen and know you will too.

I was given a Cuisinart Food processor two and a half years ago as a gift when I got married, and at the time I didn't think I would use it that much. Boy was I wrong!! I use it all the time and for a variety of things. First off let me tell you what it comes with. It has the motor base, a bowl, dough blade, mixing/chopping blade, shredder disk, slicing disc, pusher tube, spatula, manual and a VHS tape telling you how to use your food processor. Of all the items that it came with the only thing I have not used is the VHS tape (because I don't have a VCR).

The Cuisinart Food processor does what it says it will do, which is chop, slice, shred, puree vegetables, meat, cheeses, nuts etc, and the manual explains what about how to use each blade and disc. Also the manual explains about what temp. the food has to be in order to cut, slice or chop. It nice added bonus it is dough blade which you can use to make dough. Clean up is a breeze, just wipe the motor base with a damp cloth...

The cuisinart food processor was one of the nices food processor i every used. I didnt have a problem with chopping up vegetables for my soup. It dice the vegetables up nice size, not too big and not too small it was just right. I loved useing it and it was also easy to use. i also used the cuisinart food processor for making powder suger from normal suger. The cuisinart food processor chopped up the suger to powder, so i could put it on top of my funnel cake. If you what to mix different types of spieces together the cuisinart food processor blend them better then i thought it would. You can use the spieces that you blend together to season your foods, so it can have your food teasting a lot better. ...

I love the Cuisinart Food Processor so much that I am getting one for my daughter for Christmas. It is so easy to use. Making a pie crust is great and it turns out better than using my Kitchenaide mixer....

this product far exceeds my expectations and is recommened to anyone and everyone who is looking for a food processor, one of a kind piece of equipment. i plan to buy one for me and my entire family plus recommend to all of my friends. it slices like nothing and is amazing for grating chesse and cuts about anything edible...

after getting in the kitchen adn getting messy I found myself loving this product more and more with its versatility and structure and the easy clean up was the best part att he end of the night so that I got to spend more times with my kids and lesss time dleaning up..the cruisineart food processor is defineltly the utensil in my kitchen and should be on everyones christmas list.....

The Cuisinart DLC -*S Pro Custom 11 cup food processor is fabulous! I've had mine for over 6 months now and cannot believe I've gone this long without it! I use it to make doughs, shred cheeses, chop, slice, etc. All the attachments make is very versitile! Great product and worth the money! Very sturdy too!...

The Cuisinart food processor bowl can easily tackle my largest projects, yet chops garlic so fine you can't find it in the dish you just added it to! I

t is easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning, except for the top part that slides up and down. It gets stuff caught between the inner and outer sleeve and it is hard to get out. It should be made so it can be completely disassembled for cleaning.

It was so easy to put together and use right out of the box (after washing, of course) and I didn't have to look at a lot of tiny little pictures showing how to put it together. The video was great, too.

I resist buying single-purpose kitchen gadgets, so for years I chopped, diced, and sliced by hand. Finally I bought my Cuisinart, realized that it has many uses, and have never looked back.

The processor comes with three commonly used blades, a recipe book, and a video that demonstrates use of each blade and some of the recipes. Slice a cucumber faster than you can say the word. Blend spreads and create other appetizers quickly. The only part that you can't put in the dishwasher is the motor!

I rate the processor as a 4 rather than a 5 only because extra blades (julienne, for example) can be difficult to find and rather expensive. Check on-line for vendors offering good prices and free shipping.
