Coffee, coffee, coffee, boy how I love coffee. But then who does not love coffee? Coffee is the fuel that makes the world go round. some think it may be money, but actually it is the coffee. If it was not for the coffee nobody would be making those big bucks. Talking about big bucks, have you seen the prices of the coffee drinks at the local coffee shop. Who can afford to purchase cup after cup of expensive coffee like that all day long. I need a big coffee maker for my coffee needs and nothing less than a twelve cup will do. The Cuisinart coffee Maker (DGB-500 12-Cup) is just the machine a serious coffee drinker needs. The tempiture that the coffee maker makes the coffee seems just right because it makes a great tasting pot of coffee. The water reservor is easy to pour the water in and trickles the coffee in a fashion that forces the flavor to be injected into the water. The actual coffee pot is nice to because of it nice handle that makes pouring a cup effortless and mistakeless. Unit...

I have owned this coffee maker for over 6 years and it still works quietly, quickly, and reliably. The price was moderate.

One reason I chose this machine is the Cuisinart name. Their food processor worked well for me for over 20 years. This machine makes a 12-cup pot, a capacity I specifically sought. A feature I required was the auto-brew timer. I really need to have my coffee waiting for me in the morning! It is convenient to set. A plus is that a tone sounds when the brew cycle is complete, and also when the machine shuts off. The automatic-off feature has a selector ranging between one and four hours. Nice little convenience. It came with a wire mesh filter, eliminating the need for cumbersome disposable filters. The filter was easily & inexpensively replaced at WalMart when necessary.

The water level window is a littletough tosee. Asmall red bead floating at the top of the water level would make it much easier to read. It'sa bit tricky to get...

I've been using Cuisinart Grind & Brew coffee makers for years and love them. Makes great tasting coffee using whole bean or ground coffee types. You can program the unit to start just before you wake up. Automatic Shut Off time is also programable (up to 4 hours). It also filters the water used before brewing.

The only drawback is the section that holds the brew basket sometimes gets gunked up with coffee that drips over making is a little difficult to slide open. This section does not come apart easily for cleaning. The best I've done is to remove the door, but it still takes effort to clean the track.

All in all, I still wouldn't trade mine and I love the red!

Easy to program. Warmer keeps the coffee at the perfect temperature. filter keeps out the imputies. I would not trade it for anything except a ($500) expresso machine.

I drink 2 cups a day and use it as a 2 cup brewer except when I have company.

It brews quickly and has a audible to let you know it is done brewing or the warmer is shutting off.

It makes 12-cups of coffee and has a 24-hour clock and timer that you can set so your coffee is ready first thing in the morning. It also keeps coffee hot for up to 4 hours after brewing is finished. It has a pause during brewing feature. It also has a charcoal water filter to help remove nasty tastes and odors that is built right into the unit and is very easy to change.
