My new, absolute most favorite, coffee maker is the Cuisinart Brew Central 12-Cup Coffee Maker. I'm so thrilled with it that I've considered treating it like a pair of shoes and buying a second one now while it's still possible.

With all of these features, there is one that stands out: it pours without spilling coffee all over the table. The spout has a deep channel, the lid on the carafe is recessed enough that the coffee pours without any interference. The sales clerk's mother was correct; this is the best coffee maker I've ever had. This comes with a short cord, a gold tone filter, a scoop, a water filter and a smile.

A co-worker of mine bought this machine for our office. At first I thought he was crazy spending that much money for an office coffee maker, but after a while, I grew to love it. So much that I put it on our wedding registry this year. We were so happy when a family member purchased it and it came right out of the box that day. It's so easy to use, that my husband sets it up every night for us. Now if it only had a feature to REMIND HIM to set it up, this coffee maker would have no equal. Never thought I would want such a high priced appliance, but now I can't imagine life without this wonderful product. We still use paper filters in the gold mesh basket, because without it, the coffee tends to clog the filter.

My Cuisinart has lasted me a long time. I really did look forward to my coffee every morning because it tasted so good! Unfortunatly I need to get a new one because a member of my family poured milk in there to make hot chocolate and it ruined my coffee maker leaving it with a bitter coffee taste. Before this incident, I never had any problems with this maker. It always produced quality coffee and left me satisfied. I would definitely recomend this maker to anyone. It is very stylish meaning it looks good in the kitchen and it produces great coffee. To make it even easier, I use the single packs of Maxwell house and that always made really good coffee especially when I am on the run. My Cusinart lasted me a long time and the only reason I have to get a new one is because someone ruined it by putting milk into the filter. Heres a piece of advice if you buy one of these...do not put milk in the filter!

Love this coffee maker. Perfect coffee every time. It comes in black and stainless steel or white and stainless steel. It makes up to 12 cups and it has its own water filter to aid in the smoothness of the taste. In addition it has a build in timer and a self cleaning function. Great value and great performance. I am very pleased with this coffee maker.

This product makes fabulous coffee. It includes a charcoal filter to keep the water purified. There are a variety of settings available including a preset that will automatically begin brewing at the time you want. A series of three beeps notify you when the coffee is ready and then again just before the coffee maker turns itself off - approximately one hour later. I am often forgetful about turning off my coffee maker, so this is a great safety feature. I also hate making coffee in the morning, so preparing it at night and setting the start time for the next morning is perfect for me. I wake up each morning to fresh, hot coffee! This coffee maker also includes a gold, reusable filter which is easy to clean and is dishwasher safe.

I've gone through 2 Cuisinart coffee makers. The coffeemaker itself is extremely attractive, modern, trendy, etc. I loved how it looked in my kitchen. But, they both stopped functioning. After putting the water in, it wouldn't do anything. (the pump?) At first I was mad but did go out and buy a 2nd one because I really did like it. That one had the same problem. I got about 3 months use out of both of them. I actually kept the box and noticed that it was a "refurbished" model. Enough said. I won't buy a 3rd one. Coffee will taste the same regardless of the coffee maker. If you use good coffee, a cheap coffee maker will do the same thing.

This cuisinart is not something you want to own. It's unreliable, but pretty. It has not given me reliable service and wish I hadn't bought this piece of junk.

This is by far the best coffee maker(Cuisinart DCC-1200) I ever purchased. I have had mine for a few years with NO problems at all. I had been buying other coffee makers about every 2-5 months because something would always go wrong with them. That is no longer the case since I purchased this one. Yes, the lid is a little tricky to put on but once you figure it out its no big deal. Yes, the water is hard to see inside the unit but that is what the crafe is for. The water is measured prior to pouring in. Seems there are mixed reviews on this coffee maker but I have had only good experiences with mine. My Dad, brother and sister all own the same one and they all love theirs and have not had to replace a coffee maker since their purchase. This coffee maker will save you alot of money in the end. Look no further for anothr coffee maker because this should be the last one you will ever have to purchase again.

Been using the DCC-1200 for about 2 weeks now. I can't believe what some people have been complaining about - this thing just works! After reading many of the reviews only 2 things concerned me - not… being able to see how much water you're putting in the reservoir (yes, I admit it, I fill it up with kitchen faucet hose) and excessive water pouring out the back when you lift the top lid. I'm happy to report that the model I received has improvements that minimize and/or eliminate these issues. Not sure if I have a new/improved model but it has bright, white, horizontal # markers on the inside of the reservoir which are very easy to see and tell exactly how much water you put in. Second, there's a small lip on the backside of the coffeemaker so when you lift the lid (and do it quickly) most of the water flows into this lip and back into the coffeemaker. A couple of drops do make it onto the counter but hey, it's water!, so it evaporates in a few minutes. This does exactly what it's...

The Cuisinart Brew Central makes a good cup of coffee without the traditional glass coffee pot. This eliminates the worry of breaking the glass pot each time you wash it! The functionality and longevity of a Cuisinart makes it worth the money. We were tired of having to purchase a new coffee maker every 12-18 months. We decided to invest a little more money and we have not been sorry. I would recommend that anyone looking to purchase a Cuisinart to price them around, as you could pay up to $30-$40 more for the coffee maker. We purchased ours at Sam's Club and it cost $30 less than the department stores. The Brew Central is very easy to clean and operate. The other features that we like are the timer so our coffee can be made the night before and is ready to dispense when we wake up in the morning. It also has a programmable shut off feature. The Cuisinart Brew Central Coffeemaker DCC-1200 Series promises much but delivers little of what they promise. It is difficult to fill with water due to small opening at top. Lid leaks on sides and filter collapses allowing grounds to get into coffee. The holes that send the water through the lid constantly are clogged with grounds and the self clean feature does not work. The warming plate does not keep the coffee at the proper temperature and on occassion shuts off before the 2 set time is completed. This machine is only 4 months old and already I'm ready to send it to Goodwill and buy something else. Not worth the money.

Cuisinart DCC 1200 black chrome, very good looking, brews well, learning curve with programming, but it works well, internal water level not easy to determine, carafe lid can be tricky to place securly. Overall quite satisfied.

Morning life deteriorated rapidly when the Krups went kaput. Didn't quite like the styling or endurance of that unit, and resorted to using a mini Black & Yucker while researching a new Salvation Maker. I'm cheap, and found this Cuisinart to be just the deal for the price -- brews very tasty Lavazza, and I love the features. The water intake area is small, but I'm not so uncoordinated that this is an issue, even in the morning.

I bought the Cuisinart Brew Central DCC-1200 which comes with it's own filtering system. I live in Florida and the water is horrible. This coffee maker takes out all the charcol and lime, etc and the coffee tastes better than Starbucks! It's programable and has a thermal pot. It's very easy to use and easy to clean. The filter only needs to be changed once in 60 days. You can even buy the filters on line cheaper than from the stores that carry them. Cuisinart carries them at their website.
