We bought the crayola color wonder markers for our two children ages 2 and 3 (at the time) and they absolutely loved these markers. They came with a coloring book that had toy story characters on it, which at the time was their favorite movie!! They were so excited to open the package and started coloring immediately! Within 15 minutes, the entire coloring book was colored. Good thing i had bought an extra coloring pad. I loved how my floors, walls, tables, and their hands were mess free. And they are not greasy or anything so they don't leave a residue either. The downside to these markers are that you can only buy the coloring book with markers. Even if you already have the markers, and only want the book, you end up with more markers. The only paper you can buy seperately is plain white paper. The paper is also very expensive to me. Especially since it goes so quickly. i would definately reccomend this product to a friend because it's something that the kids can do semi supervised and...
...

The Crayola Wonder Paints and Markers are amazing. My daughter, Georgia, cant be trusted to be alone with anything, much less markers or crayons. These products are incredible, they keep her super entertained and allows me to have fun with her, or even to get some of my stuff done, while she plays. They dont make visible marks on anything but the special paper, and I think its great to watch her sit and play with them in amazement while the colors gradually show up. They think its magic! My two year old and my four year old love them just the same, and its nice to have something they can do together. I trust the crayola brand in general, and this is a great idea for kids! They also have color wonder coloring books which helps to teach children to stay in the lines. My daughter does so much better now that she has had that as a teacher. I would recommend these to any one that has a child old enough to hold a marker. Its the greatest way to start a child out in the world of art!
...

katespiker says "I think it's a great idea but not as fun as the real deal" about Crayola Color Wonder

I tried a few of the Crayola Color Wonder products thinking "What a great idea! Creativity without the mess?!" I hate to say that it is a little good to be true. Yes, they do work. Your child can draw, paint etc without adding color to your whole house. On the down side they are drastically over priced, and it can take serveral seconds for the colors to appear, if you have younger children this can be just enough time for them to lose interest. The finger paints run out quite quickly and our markers dried out quickly. You have to have the special paper so once you run out, if the paint and markers are still working, you have to go spend more money. I am all about letting my children express themselfs through art. I think it just works better to do it the old fashioned, although sometimes messy, way. Put down some newspaper, add an old shirt for clothing saving purposes and let the creativity begin. I haven't tried all of the products but those I haven't friends have and they give me pretty...
...

My daughter, who recently turned 2, is really into arts and crafts. Sometimes, however, I can't dedicate as much time as I would like to sitting with her while she is doing them. That makes it very difficult for her to do crafty things whenever she would like.

For her 2nd birthday she received Crayola color wonders in Disney Princess. This combines two things she loves - the princess and markers! It is very nice to allow her to play with these without feeling like I have to hover over her in case she would get the marker on something. I still have her sit at her play table just in case something would happen, but it is really great.

the one downfall is that she also received some with glitter paper. The glitter nto only makes a huge mess everywhere, but the markers need to be pressed down very hard for them to show up where there is a lot of glitter.
...

The color wonder markers are absolutely the best idea created. My 24 month son loves to try to color. When he walks around the house I don't have to chase after him praying that he doesn't mark the walls. Even his hands and clothes, oh and my carpet are safe from disaster...lol. The only problem I have is we can not find the markers sold on its own.
...

I think the Crayola Color Wonder products just aren't that good. They clame to have no mess but the paint that they have for the Color Wonder paints is actually pretty messy. You may not be able to see the mess but it leaves your childrens hands full of a greasy substance. My child actually cried because she didn't like the feel of it on her hands. I had to scrub it off her and it was slimy to wash off. We also tried the Color Wonder markers. I think they are way too expensive and the markers dry out and loose their ink way too fast. It's just not worth the money when they don't last that long. I will most likely not purchase any more of the Crayola Color Wonders products. I love Crayolaand usually they make very high quality products but I think they missed it when they invented this stuff. Some people may choose to buy them but they are just not something my family will be buying again in the future.
...

The surprise in a child's eye when the color from either a pen or a bruash hits the special coloring paper is priceless. And what a treat for parents, especially mom,to know that you can leave a child in wonderment and not have to worry about walking into a disaster on the walls, floors and on one another. The creativity is effortlless and the memories are timeless and in true Crayola fashion there is a whole line of other Crayola Color Wonder products to coincide with these pens and brushes.

You can either purchase the Color Wonder products seperately or as a collection, either way it is truly worth it's price. My daughter can't get enough of time set aside several times of week for arts and crafts projects. The pens and brushes fit nicely and comfortable into a child's hand and in time they are coloring neatly and precisely...much faster than with crayons or colored pencils.

These Crayola products are a great starter for children peparing for either preschool or kindergarten...
...

I love the Crayola Color Wonder line. I first bought a set when my son was two years old. I was immediately hooked! He gets to have all the fun of coloring with markers without all of the mess and cleanup for me! I like that they carry the different cartoon characters and different sizes of coloring books. My son has the travel set and likes to color while riding in his carseat. when he gets done, he can just put everything back into the neat little pouch until next time, and I know his clothes and carseat are still clean. I have bought many of the color wonder sets for birthday and Christmas presents for my nieces and nephews and they all love them. I guess the next thing we will try is the color wonder paint. My oldest son is only four, so I usually give him paper and paint and let him go outside and then he gets to play in the sprinkler when he's done. LOL! I feel safer with these markers, than with crayons, because I know if they write on a wall, I won't be trying to figure out how...
...

I have 3 wonderful children, under the age of 5, yes im crazy. lol. They enjoy coloring very much, but i got little extras with that too, like nail polish paintings on the walls, crayon on the walls, and toys, and tables..they never seemed to be able to keep it on the paper! I was very frutrated, and at the end of my rope, i took the crayons and writing utensils away, but then, i felt guilty. I thought , ok ive seen the commercials a million times, i will go ahead and give crayola color wonder a try, i mean after all it couldnt get any worse than what they had already done right. When i went to look i was very happy with the variety of selection. They had tinkerbell and cars, which are the two main ones in my house. I brought them home, set them in the floor and let them have at it. Now i dont have to worry with crayon being all over my house, and i can let them color with no worries. This product is fantastic! They are a little more expensive than crayons, and colored pencils and stuff,...
...

I purchased the color wonder markers, and glitter paints, and finger paints for my 3 year old. I love the idea, but the actual product isn't quite all it's cracked up to be. All three products have a delayed reaction. From the time you paint on the paper to the time the color shows up completely is actually about a 2 second delay. Also the colors were quite dull. The glitter won't leave color behind, but it does leave glitter behind, and of course the finger paints aren't exactly mess free either. Your child will be left with goopy gunk all over their hands (and whatever else they touch.) With all of those things, I still would have been ok with the color wonder, it wasn't until I decided to paint my child's room, that I discovered the real disadvantage. Color wonder reacts when you paint your child's room, so all of a sudden these invisible hieroglyphics become visible on your walls. I am through 2 coats of regular primer, and one coat of Kilz stainblocking primer and the...
...
