Jason Statham stars in Crank, a high octane film.

Plot: Hitman Chev Chelias (Statham) is drugged with a lethal dose in his sleep. However, he's not dead yet and has one hour to find the guy who did it and exact revenge. Chelias soon realizes the only thing keeping him alive is pure adrenaline.

What I thought: This is not the calm, cool side of Statham that watchers usually see, and love. Some scenes could have been more tasteful or left out all together. Crank had the makings of a great film, but instead is only good. The music that plays when Chelias adrenaline is low is funny. Crank is a pretty strange movie, but does have some good action and some great adrenaline scenes.

Crank is not for kids of any age!

I love his movies, but this one wasn't very good. It seemed like the writers didn't know what to write so they just made up random lines and scenarios. The scenes were just inserted with no reason except to have sex scenes and curse words. I just found a lot of the movie just pointless and irritating. I would not recommend this movie to anyone....

Bottom-Line: Far too many movies coming out of Hollywood these days are like Crank: soulless, poorly written, overly violent, obtuse, foul mouthed caricatures of American society.

Directed and written by Mark Naveldine and Brien Taylor, Crank begins as hit man Chev Chelios (Statham - The Transporter, Transporter 2, Cellular) wakes up from a nap to find himself pumped full of a drug known as the "Beijing Cocktail." The drug in question that can only be counteracted by keeping his adrenaline levels sky high, so Chelios puts himself into several situations wherein he can of course raise his adrenaline levels include a public sexual romp with his girlfriend Eve, (Amy Smart - Felicity, Road Trip, The Butterfly Effect). He also huffs cocaine, chugs Red Bull, snorts nasal decongestant, and of course drives at high speeds all while he litters the L.A. landscape with mutilated corpses and spent ammo casings.

Where to begin! Crank is a mess! In the hands and minds of new-comers...

What's the point of having Jason Statham in a movie where he constantly has to move when he doesn't have a single decent fight scene? The stunt work is lackluster, the costuming is embarrassing (hospital gown? HALF a track suit?), and no imagination is displayed with any of the action. A complete waste of an actor and a premise....

This movie had so many twist and turns that it kept you in your seat until the very end. This is definitely a movie that every action film lover should see. I personally recommend this film. It has a good story line with it too. Another benefit is Jason Statham is the main character and does a wonderful job in his role. Plus he isn't to bad to look at either. :)...

the action was non stop, the thrills were non stop. the story line was easy to follow and the bits of humor were awesome. i felt like i was on a terrific roller coaster ride, the adrenaline flowed from my tv to me! i watched it twice the first day i had it! i thought the actor was great looking and believeable!...

Jason Statham is a unique actor I picked up on in "An Italian Job". Sort of a cross between Jet Li and Bruce Willis.

I liked the update on the old story of D.O.A. with Edmond O'brien in 1950 and again with Dennis Quaid in 1988. A classic setting for a suspnse-filled whodunnit. Will probably continue to be updated.

Lots of action and cool fights and some wry humor. Jason adds his own personna to this classic.

Looking forward to his next film.

I really love this movie b/c #1 I love Jason Stadam. I as very action packed but it had alot of adult content in it. I would'nt reccomend watching this with you kids at home. There are certain scenes they donn't need to see. Overall a very good movie....

This movie was great. My husband was the one that actually wanted to watch this, and I figured i would sacrafice a couple of hours so I could spend time with him. Well I don't think I took my eyes off the screen one time. This movie had me enthralled the whole time. The acting was great, the story line was great...well everything was great. I definately reccomend this....it won't disappoint....

I just saw this movie the other night, I had been wanting to ever since it came out. I gives this movie a definate 2 thumbs up! It was an action packed, non stop thrill ride....and surisingly made me laugh almost every other seen.

I have beed a fan of Jason's since I saw him in The Transporter, and it seems that with every movie he gets more and more entertaining.

LOVED IT

Careful with the kids though, nudity/lauguage is a bit over the top for anyone under 16; I would say.

First of all, this is a pretty dumb movie. But if you are a fan of Jason "The Transporter" Statham then I highly recommend it. He elevates a movie that would probably otherwise be a direct-to-video title. It's got tons of action and some humor and some gratuitous sex scenes as well. They are supposedly going to be making a sequel to the film as well....

When I first saw commercials for Crank, I joked that it was the "Transporter III" because it looked similar to the Jason Statham's Transporter movies. Although the action was similar, Crank had a unique theme and was definitely different than the Transporter.

Plot
Chev Chelios awakes feeling strange. He finds out that Verona has poisoned him with a Chinese drug that slows his heart rate and he only has about an hour to live! Chev takes off running to find this jerk and figure out how to save his life. He learns that the only way to stay alive is to keep his adrenaline up! Can he manage to stay alive long enough to find Verona?? You'll have to watch and see!

Actors
Jason Statham .... Chev Chelios ... Jason did what he does best - action! Although Jason's life may end at any moment, he never stops with the action, the revenge, or the jokes. If you like Jason, you'd better see this. If you don't, then stay away. I most enjoyed the things Chev did to keep his adrenaline running. I have one...

Ever since Jason Statham was in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, I've been following every one of his movies. It seems he's able to better himself a little bit with every role he plays. He fits right into the action scene with his smooth martial arts and skillful gunning. I knew Crank would be amazing, and boy was it.

Plot: When professional assassin Chev Chelios finds out he was injected with a dangerous Chinese concoction of adrenaline inhibitors, he has to find a way to keep his adrenaline pumping and his heart rate up. A raging rampage of revenge is exactly what he needs to stay alive.

Crank is pure action, from start to finish. It moves fast right from the opening scene but not so fast that you don't know what's going on. Within the first 10 minutes of the movie, you are given the background of what's going on and the set up of pretty much the rest of the movie. I think this style of opening is pure genius, quick and to the point. You get character development, plot development,...
