britnjosh says "cute but messy" about Crane Cool Mist Humidifier

This humidifier is cute, and it works in a safe way, but I do not particularly care for it. I like the fact that it has the cool air, which means there is no chance for my preschooler to burn herself. It does not get a bunch of yucky stuff in the bottom like my warm air humidifier either which is nice that I do not have to clean it out every week or so. The steam that comes out the top is very interesting to my preschooler which is why I keep it up high, but it just makes too much of a mess. The steam/vapor/whatever it is comes out, and since it is cool, it just falls. The fact that it has different levels that you can set it at is nice, but when it is set on high (which is necessary for the Southwest!) so the room can get some moisture in it there is water that gets everywhere. The steam stuff falls down since it is not hot air coming out, and whatever surface it is on will be soaked within a very short amount of time of turning it on. I had it sitting on top of my daughter's...
...

dbm82 says "It's cute and functional" about Crane Cool Mist Humidifier

I had never tried a humidifier before and never realized what a difference it could make in terms of the scratchy throat and icky sinuses I usually wake up with in the winter. When a friend was replacing this strange little frog device I was skeptical, but took it home with me.

I found the user manual online and set it up. It's extremely easy--put some water in the head, secure it on the base and turn the knob. Easily adjust the amount of steam flowing through the frog's ear vents with a turn of the dial.

As the "Crane Cool Mist Humidifier" name implies, the air cool but moist. It does not make the room noticeably more humid, but I do find that I rarely wake up with the dryness I used to. If you have a child who has throat/nose problems this is a cute solution. As for me, I think I might upgrade to something a little less...adorable....

rubygirl says "Quiet, reliable, perfect for baby's room!" about Crane Cool Mist Humidifier

We bought the Cool Mist Humidifier (frog design) when my son was three months old after he got bronchiolitis. The pediatrician recommended a cool mist humidifier to help him breathe at night. We first bought the Vicks basic pediatric version and it was extremely loud. He was still in a bassinet in our room at the time and it was just too noisy for us. So we bought the Crane CM Humidifier in the frog shape and love it! It's quiet, works great, and has an adjustable setting. He's now in his own room and we run the humdifier every night. I highly recommend this product!...
