After living in UT for two years, we finally ponied up for a snow blower. And what an awesome choice we made. We just had our first big snowfall of the year and the Craftsman snow blower we purchased from Sears made cleaning our driveway a cinch. We shopped around for a long time and finally settled on this model when it was on sale. This model is even great for me to use when my husband is out of town. It's self propelled and very easy to start and operate. After shoveling our drive for the past two years (during a couple of the biggest snows UT has seen in about 20 years), this snow blower is a treat!

I bought my Craftsman snowblower a couple years ago and it's one of the best investments I ever made. I'm picky and careful of what I buy. The Craftsman name has never let me down and their snowblower has easily handled the snow in Michigan, and quickly I might add! This machine has grat power and doesn't get bogged down. My boyfriend likes it so much it's hard to keep him from going down the block with it and taking care of all my neighbors! Many are senior citizens, so they appreciate my Craftsman snowblower as well. Starts every time, dependable, smooth and it just gets the job done. Highly recommend!

This Craftsman snowblower is sometimes difficult to start. Requires pull start. Pull start is difficult sometimes for women to start. Also, the shoot gets clogged sometimes. You have to be careful to use when the snow is freshly fallen. The shoot sometime does not throw the snow far enough. You have to pay attention to where you start and how much snow has fallen. Requires you to use this machine more frequently when you have a heavy snow fall. Overall, the machine does work well when you use it properly. I would recommend it to those who are younger and dont have diffuculty using the pull start. Works well when you know where to start and how to adjust the thrower. works very well with light snow. And when used frequently, and the snow isn't real deep when used, it does do a good job. They do have a converstion to electric start, which I recommend for thse who have difuculty with pull start.

the Craftsman 26 ince snow thrower works wonders! it is easy to manuver, very controlable and does a perfect job on both gravel , cement and tared Driveways. It even works well plowing a path throudh the lawn

I picked up the Craftsman snowblower during a sale last summer. The price was perfect and my old Toro was on it's last leg.

Michigan winters can be brutal, but so far the Craftsman snowblower has done all I can expect it to do. My driveway is clear with very little effort. It has started on the first pull all season.

The only drawback I have experienced are the screws on the snow chute must be tightened all the time or the snow blows straight up. When I received the blower, one set of screws were missing.

I bought the Sears Craftsman 5 HP, electric start, 22" single stage, auger propelled snow thrower model 536.881500 on sale approximately 4 years ago. It seemed reasonable and was less than an Ariens. It was only intended to clear my small property, no commercial use. You get what you pay for. I've never had a home product self destruct like this one. From the get-go it had a habit of stalling with heavy snow. This is an extremely noisy, high vibration unit. But the best was yet to come. The underneath portion of the outer shell that directs the snow up and in stress cracked and broke off, so that the bulk of snow indeed gets plowed but no longer clears down to the pavement but blows out the back, requiring a clean-up shoveling. I fabricated a metal bracket, screwed the surviving lip to it and attached it to the shell, but the screws vibrated off and it wouldn't stay in place. The handle that engages/disengages the auger then failed to disengage any more, requiring tilting it back, otherwise......

This Craftsman 26" Snow Thrower is fantastic. Setup was easy. Started on the first try (electric). Started everytime after that during first use (pull start). Cut through every bit of snow I pointed it at including "my" corner where the street department insists on piling all of the snow from the rest of the street. And it was easy on the wallet....

Hey if you don't like your neighbor you can bury his driveway with your Craftsman Snow Blower.

Well I used a Craftsman Lawn Tractor for many years and pushed the snow with a plow. Now that I am getting older I needed an easier process of removing the snow from our long driveway.

I have back problems, but I can use the Craftsman snow blower because it is easy to operate. As you age, you can appreciate still being able to remove the snow by yourself.

One problem with a snow blower is the force of the snow will drift back on you so we added the cover with a sheild. With the cover you can block the wind and makes removing snow more comfortable. My wife can and will even operate this snow blower.

You can easily help your neighbors to clear their walks or driveways. Or if you have a neighbor you dislike or want to aggrevate, the power of the this snow blower can move all your snow to his driveway!

You will probably think I am crazy but I actually look forward to Winter and those whiteout snow storms because it gives me the chance to use my always reliable Craftsman Snow Thrower. I also know my neighbors no longer dread accumulating snow as I am happy to clear their walkways and driveways in addition to my own. One of the biggest reasons I love my Snow Thrower is right after the snow plows come through our neighborhood, I can confidently clear out the snow they push right back at the base of our driveway. Most of my neighbors have smaller snow throwers that appear to be nothing more than glorified shovels. With it's easy to start motor and adjustable speeds and snow throwing chute, I can take whatever Mother Nature decides to dish out. I could not be happier nor say enough good things about my Craftsman Snow Thrower. Another example of a quality product sold at my favorite store, Sears....
