spaldero says "Not the greatest mascara..." about CoverGirl Volume Exact Mascara

Despite what the models on the commercials say, this Covergirl mascara is not even close to a favorite of mine. No matter how many celebrities show off their perfect eyelashes, they are obviously not wearing this mascara! I'd like to know what they are actually wearing on the commercials! I guess it sticks to the name "Volume Exact" as it does give great volume, but thats after you have to pick through the clumps in your eyelashes. Covergirl claims on the packaging that it will not clump, but thats the only thing I noticed when I used it. My biggest pet peeve is clumps!! I do like the Covergirl brand, and I will continue to use it, but I won't be buying this mascara. Another thing I noticed too is the "very black" colour that I normally buy actually looks more brown. That isn't that big of a deal, but why advertise "very black" if its brown? I wouldn't recommend this mascara to anyone unless they like "spiderey" lashes!
...

this2shallpass19 says "Doesn't even compare to it's sisters LashExact or LashBlast!" about CoverGirl Volume Exact Mascara

I have tried a LOT of mascaras on my quest to find the perfect one. Even though I have found a couple really great mascaras, I still have fun finding new ones - enter CoverGirl Volume Exact Mascara. I absolutely love Lash Blast and Lash Exact, so I thought I would love this one too, but that's not the case.

CoverGirl says: "Volume Exact has an innovative, flexible brush with tiny micro chambers that surround individual lashes with the right amount of mascara to create voluminous, yet separated lashes."

I was disappointed in CoverGirl Volume Exact Mascara because it provides absolutely no length to my lashes. All it does is add volume and separation. Lash Blast is better because it adds volume, length and separation. I also find that Volume Exact is slightly clumpy. Unlike Maybelline's Define-A-Lash, this mascara will only let you run the brush over your lashes once or twice before it gets thick and yucky. If you wanted, you could apply Define-A-Lash mascara for 30 coats...
...

I like to wear mascera that makes an obvious difference on my eyes. I definelty foind what I am looking for with Cover Girl Volume Exact Mascara. Application and easy and with just one single swipe my lashes are pumped with volume! It really does make my eyes pop and makes them look bigger as well. It stays on and I do not need to have to worry about little black flakes around my eyes by the end of the night. I have only used the waterproof kind so I do not know how non waterproof would fair but the kind I use works great for me. I have always had great look with covergirl products. They are not too expensive and I know what I am getting!

One thing is it does dry very fast and after I look in the mirror if I decide I want to add another layer it looks very clumpy. Other than that it is a great product and it does exacly it says it is going to do! I love it and I know you will, too. Give it a try!
...

Chicagofungirl says "I would buy Cover Girl mascara again..." about CoverGirl Volume Exact Mascara

My mascara was getting old so it was time for me to get some new stuff. I headed off to the nearest Target to see what they had. I would like to start off by mentioning that I was floored at all the new mascara they have to choose from nowadays!! I remember a few years ago, the only choices you had to worry about making was whether you wanted water proof or not. Now they have all these new 'technologies' for the brushes, as well as an array of brands, colors and PLUMPING ACTION. I think I stood there for a good 15-20 minutes going through the different brands trying to determine which one to choose.

In the end I had a coupon for $2.00 off a Cover Girl product and I chose the Cover Girl Volume Exact Mascara. When I got it home I was very pleased at how the product worked. For me it provided more than enough volume and I liked how big the brush was, made it that much easier to apply. Removal was hassle free and I would definitely buy this product again!
...

eatingcookies says "Exactly my favorite mascara!" about CoverGirl Volume Exact Mascara

One of the areas that I'm willing to spend money is makeup. What I find so fascinating about mascara is that the amount of money you spend on it doesn't seem to have much bearing on what works for you or does not work for you. I have had $18 mascara from Lancome that clumped, and $16 mascara from Bare Minerals that barely did anything at all.

This mascara delivers. I wear glasses or contacts, and when I wear my contacts I want that BOOM lash look - thick and long, yet seperated and non clumpy.

The brush in this mascara is exactly what I need to get that look. It's so easy to seperate your lashes using this wand.

I will warn you: the wand does take some getting used to. If you have never used a "flexible bristles" plastic style wand, PLEASE GO SLOWLY AND BE CAREFUL! You can poke your eye if you're too agressive - they don't flex as much as oldschool brushes. They certainly don't clump as much either, tho, so once you get comfortable with the brush, you will love it...

aclacombe says "Better than anything you can get at Sephora" about CoverGirl Volume Exact Mascara

Volume Exact is my favorite mascara to use when I want waterproof mascara that gives dramatic effect without clumps. Covergirl's plastic brush are years ahead of their department store competition. The science used in the brushes make mascara application a breeze and let you get to every corner and root around your eye. The price is about a quarter of the price of the brittle brush mascara I see at department stores, and unlike those department stores, covergirl mascara goes on sale and has coupons. I have seen no other mascara that is better and cheaper than something found in a beauty store....

Laurarose says "A mascara that delivers exactly what it promises!" about CoverGirl Volume Exact Mascara

When I was in my twenties, & early thirties, I never wore mascara, except for special occasions ( dates, going out dancing, etc). I was very lucky to have been blessed with long, thick, black, Bambi- like lashes. When I reached around 40, all that changed... I had to find something for my thinning lashes. I've been using Covergirl Volume Exact mascara for some time now, & have been very pleased with the results. People are constantly saying how beautiful my eyes are, & what gorgeous lashes I have. I love this mascara for several reasons: The results are fantastic, it never smears or smudges ( I use regular, not waterproof), & the price is right. I have used some great department store brands, also with great results, but for 3-4 times the price, so I'm sticking with Cover Girl!...
