My teenage daughter doesn't like the slick feel of lipgloss or the creamy feel of lipstick on her lips so we decided to try Cover Girl's Outlast Lipstain that was reccommended by one of her friends. We ended up choosing one of the "quieter" colors that were available because she's fair skinned and we were trying to stay away from something too bright. After a couple of days, my daughter hands me the Outlast and says it's not for her, that I can have it, and that's how I came to try this product.

When I opened the cap, the tip reminded me of a fabric paint pen. Application of the product was a breeze, and they're not kidding that it is very lightweight on the lips. You've effecttively stained your lips with the cosmetic equivalent of a felt tipped marker. I have a darker complexion than my daughter but even so, this was one of the less intense colors and it still looked pretty darn dark on my lips. This product is really neat! The lip stain lasts well through out the day. It's pretty cool! It does have an unusual feeling when applied, but dries and feels fine. Downside is no shine and very few colors available. :( I personally apply gloss on top afterwards.

I was very disappointed by Cover Girl Outlast Lip Stain. The color was ok, actually just the shade I was looking for, but after licking my lips a few times, it was pretty much gone. I can't believe there are so many other reviews that actually say that it lasts a long time, because the fact is that it does not. Very disappointed in this product. Total waste of money. I am a member of BzzAgent and received a free CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain in exchange for sharing my honest opinion of the product. Unfortunately, this product wasn't anything I expected it to be.

CoverGirl says: "The water-based colorants of Outlast Lipstain give lips a beautiful, lightweight flush of color that won't come off, lasting for hours without the heavy look or feel of an ordinary lipstick".

CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain is a revolutionary product in the fact that it is like nothing I have ever used or even heard of before. The applicator is an actual marker. You press the marker to your lips and "color" your lips with it. The feeling on my lips was cooling and lightweight. You can't even feel it to know it's there. It literally stains your lips with color that is supposed to last a long time.

CoverGirl claims that this product will last for hours, but I can't get it to last one hour! After I applied the LipStain, I waited about 45 and then ate my lunch. After my...

I absolutely LOVE COVERGIRL OUTLAST LIPSTAIN! I tried it after several friends told me about it. I picked up the Cinnamon Smile color w/ the topcoat! Oh my Gosh was it fantastic. Made my lips look a lot more plump, very natural, and lasted for hours even after eating w/ it on. I couldn't believe it lasted over 8 hours! Yes ladies you've read this correctly. I applied it over lipbalm to avoid stinging (which is typical w/ lipstains that are long lasting). Then applied the topcoat! This is one product that I'd highly recommend. Comes in a nice variety of colors w/ the topcoat or you can buy just the lipstain if you so choose. I also went and purchased the Natural Color. The compliments I've received is awesome. This has become a staple in my makeup bag and believe once you try this product you wlil also make it a staple in your bag too.The only drawback on this product is that it can feel very dry on your lips. I am a product tester with BzzAgent and was excited that I was able to test this product. I like trying new lip products but usually can't afford most. I tried Covergirl's Outlast lipstain when I went to a local amusement park. My lips are dry so like the directions say I put on my lipbalm about an hour before I applied the lipstain. About an hour after I put it on I ate an icecream and most of it wore away. When I left the amusement park about 4 hours after putting on the lipstain it had worn off completely.

I tried it again, it still wore off but not as much. The second time it was blotchy when it wore off. I went ahead and reapplied it and put my AVON lip gloss on top and really liked the look so I will use it that way so it's not a waste. I also don't really like the way it feels, its kinda cool and wet feeling at first and then afterwards I can feel it, which with glosses and lipsticks I usually can't feel them as much. My lips also get dry and pruney when I use the lipstain.

the covergirl outlast Lipstain is a dissapointment.... coming from Covergirl I thought that it would be a mych stronger product but when I tried it it reminded me of something a little girl would have like play makeup......It definately did not last it tasted like candy and a total waste of money

I bought Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain recently. I also paid full price, which is a rarity for me. I always try to find sales or use coupons. I was intrigued by this product, however, and I bought one, hoping it would work well.

I had a few expectations for this product: I expected it to match the color on the tube and I believed it would provide long-lasting color.

When I tried it, first, I was disappointed by the color. It was not flattering nor did it match the tube. It did seem to be long-lasting, but that is a problem if you make a mistake while applying it. Applying it basically feels like coloring your lips in with a marker! When you rub it across your lips, liquid comes out (as I expected) but it stains the lips with color unevenly! Since it stains with liquid rather than coats with a creamier substance (such as a lip stick or balm), it doesn't color your lips evenly since the color will stand out in areas of your lips that vary in skin thickness. I don't usually wear lipstick but for big occasions I like to get dressed up. I bought this lipstick in "Ever Red-dy" and love the shade - plus it stays on all night and doesn't get dry or sticky like some other long lasting lipsticks....

I really like the CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain because it does stay on for hours without re-application.I wear sassy muave & the cinnamon smile...my 2 favorite colors.It's very easy to apply and adds the right amount of color to my lips.I usually wear a clear lipgloss over my lipstain because wearing the lipstain alone can feel a little too dry to me.I definitely will purchase other shades...like plum pout.I recommend the CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain to all the beauty divas out there.

I recently tried the new CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain, and have to say I love it!! I like the look of lipstick, but live in a very dry part of the country, so my lips are usually too dry or chapped to wear lipstick. Lipstick usually just makes my lips look more chapped and flaky. So I thought I'd try the lipstain to see if it would work better. It's a very light, watery formula that your lips just sort of absorp. It feels nice, and actually made my lips feel more moisturized. The color really lasts too. I noticed that even after I ate and drank with it on, my lips still looked "stained". It also has a nice, natural matte finish, so it almost looks like my lips are just have naturally more color. You can also layer gloss on top of it for a shinier look. I've purchased three different shades of the lipstain, and have been happy with all three. I am a member of bzz.com a web site that sends consumers products to try and also tell others about them or create a buzz about them. About a month and a half ago I was offered the opportunity to try Cover Girl Out Last Lip Stain. We were given a very limited choice of color. I picked the more naturall one which is the Flirty Nude. The Cover Girl Out Last Lip Stain comes in 12 different colors. All of the shades are pink and pinkish purple. I did not really see any reds.

When the lip stain came I was surprised at its appearance it actually looks more like a marker than a lip stick. Even the lid on the tube resembles the lid of a marker except for it is see thru and most marker lids are colored the color of the marker. The tip of the lip stain also looks like the tip of a marker. I thought it looked odd, but put it on my lips anyways. When I saw the commercial for this product I was so excited and had to have it. I have tried so many lip glosses and lipsticks in hopes of finding one product that stays on and doesn't feel sticky. This product was easy to apply and once it was on, it didn't rub off on anything. I was impressed. But I did find that the product didn't last as long as I had hoped. It seemed by lunch time it had disappeared from my lips. I will still buy the product since it may have just been the color that i selected.

I recieved a free sample of Covergirl lipstain in the mail and it wasn't what i expected. It does have a nice color selection and does stay on the lips for awhile but not a stain which stays on for a long long period of time. Hard to get out of the container. Very expensive
