County Insurance is the company we use for homeowners and auto. They are based in Bloomington, IL, which is a neighboring city for me (I live in the Springfield, IL area). I think they are not natonwide like some companies you hear about, but they are a good insurance company.

There is an office right in the bedroom community where I live. I have met the people there, and they are friendly and helpful. If I have a big claim, I do NOT want my only point of contact to be a 1-800 number.

Country Insurace is a offshoot (if that is the best word) of Farm Bureau. To get Country Insurance you have to be a Farm Bureau member. Once on a survey I truthfully answered that I own some farm land. (I do not farm it, I have someone else do it.) So Country Insurance / Farm Bureau classified me as a "farmer" and increased my Farm Bureau dues.

It was of course my own fault, but out agent seemed genuinely sorry for it and bought up a gift certificate for a local resturant to make up for it. ...

We, my husband and myself, have married for twenty-five years, have had a few different insurance companies. When we bought our home ten years a go, we got Country Insurance on ourf home. They suggested that we look into our auto insurance and gave us a quote. Then we got life insurance throught them also. In the past ten years we have had one claim on our home owners insurance. When we put in the claim we had a check in our hands in fourty-eight hours. I could not beleive it. I also had the only auto accident I have ever had two years ago this Christmas. With that accident they took over with every thing. Took care of everything, all hospital bills and claims. They checked on me almost daily, and did every thing they could. To get me and my vehicle back up and working. The electric company even tried to get more money out of us on the telephone pole I took out in the accident. I called them and said not to worry that they would take care of it, not to worry. ...

We've had excellent responses, reliable estimates and great negotiations with the repair facility (auto). All of our concerns are answered [patiently by our agent, from the amount and type of coverage to suggestions to save money. Having been insured by other companies for 30 years, Country Insurance is the cream at the top from California to Illinois.

Their prices are extremely competitive! They are so well known in the Illinois area, that the top repair facilities like working with them. Our relationship started about 9 years ago, and we have auto, home and life with them. They offer other policies, which we don't need. Last year our agent sat with us and went over all aspects of our coverage against our net worth to make sure we were fully covered, and...

Their slogan is "Real People. Real Answers. Real Quick." and I have to admit that it is true! My agent is the best and when I had to file a claim it went smoothly. I was in a hit and run accident when I was 8 months pregnant and they took great care of me and left me feeling stress free. When I need something done or I just need an answer my agent or her assistant are on it. If I call on a weekend or at night I still get an answer at the customer service center and they will help me or get a message to my agent to call me back if they cannot help. In this day and age when everything you call is either automated or overseas I really appreciate that I can talk to a real person and not just any person but one I can understand! I have an annual review with my agent so we can go over my insurance which is nice because I don't have to think about it since she already is. I have home, auto, life and a education savings plan for my daughter with them. If you are looking for a company...

I really like my Country Insurance agent, but he seems to be prohibited from doing a lot of things with my policy due to the "red tape" of the agency....

This company was very helpful when we had to file a claim. We received our check that day. I use them for house, car, snowmobile, trailers, whatever I need to get insured they are the ones I chose...
