jessicachildress says "Cosco Carseat is great!" about Cosco Scenera

This has been a great carseat! This is my third child and I finally got my little girl. I wanted a carseat that was "pretty" but still functional. This has been a great buy. I even went back after about two weeks and bought another one for my mother's car. This car seat is easy to set up and very easy to install. It can be rear facing or forward facing. Depending on how your rear seatsare, you may have to prop the front of the seat in the rear facing position, but other than that, it's in and out in a snap!
...

We got this car seat for my son when he was around 15 months. He is now just over three years old. We purchased it at Walmart for around $40. The Scenera seat by Cosco offered the functionabililty we were looking for, at a price we could not pass up.

During the last few years, we have driven everywhere - even a 14 hour drive (each way) to Florida. The car seat is extremely easy to take out and pass around in different vehicles without worrying about it not being installed correctly.

The car seat can either be secured to the car using the LATCH system buckles, or by threading a selt belt through the back. If you do the latter, make sure you fully extend the seat belt so it locks! Also, using the second method, you are then forced to deal with securing the buckles so that they can not hit the child in case of collision. The size of the base may also make it difficult to install in some vehicles. It has a tendancy to lean over the edge of the seat.

My main problem with this seat is with the...
...

This product is a great value and safe too! I was told by a police officer that the only difference between costly brand name seats was the padding- and extra padding doesn't necessarily mean safer. I use this seat for my son, but also for my friends son occasionally when I pick him up from day care. It so so easy to adjust this seat from my 22 pound son to my friends 35 pound son- it's only a matter of seconds. That goes for bulky jacket adjustments too. Since my car seat is usually full of soggy squished puffs, it only takes a damp rag to clean it spotlessly.
...

jlw2002 says "Great car seat for an unbeatable price" about Cosco Scenera

I purchased this carseat about a year ago as a spare car seat for our family's second vehicle for my two year old son. It was extremely low priced compared to other similar seats, so I was a bit nervous about this purchase but I am thankful I did buy it.

First of all this seat is the easiest carseat I have ever had to install. It isn't huge and bulky like some are. It is also very light weight, the straps don't twist or tangle easily like our other car seat, and the buckle is very easy to use (but just hard enough so that my adventurous son can't open it himself!). It even comes with a handled carrycase to make traveling with my son even easier.

The only downside I can find is that there doesn't seem to be alot of padding on seat/back. Basically its just a very thin layer of foam and the cloth cover over the whole seat so it doesnt seem to be very comfortable for long trips for my little guy (which is the only reason I use it as my backup instead of main seat).
...

viceelin14 says "I wish the seat I sit in were as safe and comfortable as this on" about Cosco Scenera

We bought this seat when my grandson was 10 months old & used it until he was 2. We might have used it for another 6 months if he had not grown so much that he no longer fit in it.
It fits very well in any car we have tried it in. The design and color are such that it could be used by a boy or a girl and won't clash with most car interiors.
The belts are a very sturdy, durable fabric. The clips and hooks are the best I have ever seen. It sets well on a flat service and is not too bulky or heavy to carry, if you needed to transport it from one vehicle to another, as we often did.
The date on the back for continued use reads - do not use after 2012. We are now using it for my 10 month old grandaughter because it is still in great shape and great looking....

stepbrave says "Budget friendly, safe carseat- Cosco Scenera" about Cosco Scenera

When looking for a carseat to transition my baby from the small infant seat, I wanted something I knew was safe but was going to break the bank so to speak.

I didn't want to compromise safety for price, and so when I found the Cosco Scerena, I didn't have to.

This carseat is a great size, not bulky like some carseats can be. It has the teethering straps so I can hook it directly to my car, without having to use the seatbelt.

My son fits snuggly in this carseat without him being too tight.

I am able to get my 17th month old in and out with ease, even as he struggles- as most kids that age do!

My only complaint would be that the right snap to hook him in sometimes sticks and I can't get it in quickly. Otherwise this carseat is awesome!

I have been told you can get replacement covers which is a great option.

This seat is the best of all worlds: Safe, Budget friendly, easy to use, and not bulky.

I would definately recommend this seat to anyone transitioning from an infant carrier....
...

lanik58 says "Don't like Cosco Sceneras at all.. uncomfortable and cheap" about Cosco Scenera

I got these seats at our local fire department, thinking they would definitely offer us a great, affordable option, but I was really disappointed in these seats. We used them for a year, and I found the straps to be hard to adjust (one side would be loose and one very tight- couldn't figure out how to fix it without taking the whole thing apart.) There's also very ittle cushion, and we had to add a "noodle" in front of the bases to make them sit at the right angle. Even when fully tightened, I felt there was too much movement. I drive a Toyota Sienna, with bucket seats so it may have something to do with the type of seats. I found a good deal on Britax seats, and since replacing the Coscos, the kids are clearly happier and more comfortable.
...

The Cosco Scenera car seat is wonderful. It was a great price (under sixty dollars) for a good, sturdy car seat. It can be used rear facing up to thirty five pounds or forward facing up to forty pounds. It has the five point harness straps that are secure but not hard to latch and unlatch. The seat also has three different heights for the straps to go through so the height can be adjusted as your child gets taller. We never used it for rear facing because our daughter was already forward facing when we bought it but it has been great as a forward facing car seat. It is availbale in two different colors, dark blue or brown. The seat seems to sit a good height for my daughter, she sits up tall but is not uncomfortable, the car seat meets up well with the back of the regular seat. She is big for her age but the seat still has plenty of room to adjust for her. It is a very affordable seat and a great value for the price.
...

the cosco infant car seat is easy to adjust to baby's size so if you are living on a budget you don't have to worry about your child out growing it and having to buy another until the child is ready for a booster seat. the padding is also easy to clean and it is comfortable enough for any baby to fall asleep in. i would recommend it to all of my friends and family. it faces rear for infants and forward for toddlers.
...

I bought this car seat for my son when he was born 5 years ago. It still looks brand new. It was affordable, easy to clean, suitable for him when he was a baby and changed for him when he became a toddler. He was easy to get in and out of. it layed down for him when he was sleeping. It stayed in one place in the car. There was no cons. I absolutely loved it. I have told ever one about it. I even bought one for my friend. You can take the cover off and wash it in the washing machine. It has a cup holder. I bought it at Toys R Us. You can buy it anywhere. That is a good thing about it. You can find it anywhere.
...
