CoasterDad6 says "Add a few studs and you can go just about anywhere with Cooper." about Cooper - Snow Tires

Cooper Snow Tires are the best. I have them on both of my cars -- a Chrysler Voyager van and a Chevy Cavalier. With studs added to the van's snow tires, I have never gotten stuck anywhere even in extremely slippery snow.

The thing I like most about the Cooper snow tire is the "open tread" design which allows the tire to grip firmly in the snow with minimal loss of traction.

My son also has a Cavalier but likes to borrow my Cavalier with the Cooper snow tires when the weather is bad. I found out why once when I was driving my son's Cavalier in the snow. Even at a reduced speed of 35 mph in a 55 mph zone his Cavalier drifted right off the road into a snow bank and up onto the passenger side. Fortunately for me (and for him) the snow acted as a cushion, stopped the car before it went completely over and even sent it back to an upright postion with no damage to the car or to me.

...

I went to Kost Tire to get four Hankook I-Pikes put on my car. Instead they gave me Cooper Weathermasters (T2). The tread is non-directional which makes all the difference in the world. With these tires, the slush gets trapped in the grooves and defeats the whole purpose of snow tires. I kept them on for a day then went back and got the tires I was supposed to get in the first place. I am very happy with the Hankook I-Pikes with the directional tread....

mommyboys3 says "not so great on wet snow" about Cooper - Snow Tires

I am disappointed in how these tires handle on wet snow. It appears they have a hard time initially grabbing traction to the road. However, once they finally get a good grip they run very well (as long as you are moving). I would just urge any owner to be especially careful when taking off from a stop sign or red light as this is when the problem seems to be at its worst. In blizzard like dry snow conditions these tires are great. We lived in northern Illinois when we initialy purchased these tires and loved them. However, now that we are in the St. Louis area we are probably going to be getting rid of them due to this big issue....

i had to make a quick choice when i purchased my tires. my head was swarming with all the attributes the salesman was giving me due to the fact that i know nothing about cars and accessories for them. i guess that i was lucky when i chose cooper tires. when i got in my car to leave, i thought i was in the wrong one. the drive home was so smooth and entirely different than that i was used to. when the first big snow fell, i was no longer clinging to the steering wheel praying for a safe trip home. i felt not only confident but also safe. thank you cooper tires!!!!!...

We bought these snow tires after moving to MIchigan from Seattle. Since we are not used to all the snow we were pleasantly surprised that we had no trouble driving around even when it looked like a blizzard outside! we watched other people slipping and sliding around and we crusied by with no problem at all. Great tires and worth the price for safety.
...

After moving onto a gravel road in northern minnesota . I found a need to purchace a tire that would be both durable and have the traction needed for the country roads. I have a 3/4 ton cheve and this tire really seems like a good fit. It has proven itself this winter in its preformance on our almost daily journies throughout the countryside....

I had these put on my 2003 Subaru Outback and love them. I had the studs put in because I was living in the mountains at the time, but moved since. It's suppose to snow/sleet later and I'm going to a friend's house for dinner with confidence. I highly recommend these tires....

My fiance is a truck driver. He knows his cars and his tires. He recommends snow tires for anyone who lives in a snowy climate and thgis is a brand that he trusts. He has used them before on plenty of vehicles and they have never failed him.

Like any tires, they do slip and slide sometimes, but that is always bound to happen atleast a few times. But these tires are dependable, durable, and hey just work perfectly fine.

If you need a tire that you can depend on for the toughest of conditions, these are one of the best to buy. Highly recommended from a truck driver's wife.
...
