mzzmisty says "Comfortis.. Couldn't ask for more!!" about Comfortis

I have two pugs, I've tried everything. I tried Frontline and K9 Advatix. Nothing was working. I knew they had maybe a few fleas here and there and my male pug was sensitive to the fleas, enough was enough. I felt bad that he was itching and that I couldn't do anything so I decided that although I didn't like the thought of them ingesting something that is meant to kill fleas I decided to do some research and read up on it and made the decision to give it a try. I had heard from another pug owner that swore by it and she had said that it worked the best she had seen. She advised that I should split up the pill so that they didn't get an upset stomach. The first time I tried it I gave them 1/2 a pill each, within 20 minutes of receiving the 1/2 pill I started to see black specs on my female pug, who I had previously combed over and I didn't notice anything on her, I ended up picking about 25-35 fleas off of her, It was amazing, they were crawling out of her fur and ended up dying....
...

naktis says "Comfortis is a new alternative to Frontline - works faster" about Comfortis

My vet told me this was a new product on the market. It is given orally with food. Works great, it only takes 30 min to kill live fleas and lasts for a month. One advantage over Frontline - no greasy residue and doesn't wash off. My dog has been taking it for 3 months in a row and likes it!...

vincent84608 says "Didn't work for my dog, big dissappointment" about Comfortis

I have a puppy that we started on Comfortis. I gave her the pill and within a few hours, most fleas had died. She stopped scratching and when I checked her, I didn't see any more fleas. I was very excited about getting rid of them. I would say within the next 2 weeks, she had more fleas. They were staying on her and not leaving. Now I have an itchy puppy that fleas are attracted to. We have her next vet appointment 11-23-09 and I will start her on a different flea medicine. I have 2 other dogs that are inside dogs. They have frontline and don't have any problems with fleas. I thought that we would start the puppy on something new and see if it was better. I would have 3 dogs on Comfortis, if it worked. It doesn't last the full 30 days. The vet recommended to only give it monthly. I did pay $23.59 for the pill at the vet, which is more than my frontline that I get at the vet.
...

nodom2 says "Comfortis has made my life much easier, and my dogs happier!" about Comfortis

I always used Frontline on our dogs to kill fleas and it has always been a hassle to apply. My dogs hated having something rubbed into their back that they couldn't see, smell and had no idea what it was. We have a yorkie palm and a dachshund. It is not as bad using frontline on our dachshund as it is on our yorkie palm because the dachshund has short hair. But our yorkie palm has long hair and hates for you to put anything on him. You have to try to part his hair just to get to his scalp, then hold him still long enough to get it all on there. So everytime we applied Frontline he would roll around and do everything possible to get it off. It was always a fight. Now we use Comfortis, and it is great! We wrap the tablet in a piece of cheese and have no problems! I never thought that flea medicane could be this easy. I highly recommend Confortis to anyone with long hair pets for sure. Confortis is much easier to use than any type of topical flea medicane.
...

I have been using Comfortis for about 9 mos now. My goodness what a product. Fleas are no longer an issue with 7 dogs. Yes 7 dogs! 6 Labs and a Sheperd Mix. Wow what a difference since my dogs live in and out. I have lots of land and a large house and fleas were relentless until Comfortis. Give it a try if ya haven't. I feel the that the expense pales in comparison to the relief my dogs get. I can't stand to see the suffering caused by fleas.
...

The vet recommended this for my dog. I gave it to him when I got home. Literally within thirty minutes the fleas were falling off. Comfortis is not advertised for ticks but on my dog it killed them too. It did not stop them from biting him but they died after bitting him and he didn't scratch at the places where he had been bit. I love this product and I use it on my other dog too.

hlslabaugh says "FLEA WONDER DRUG!" about Comfortis

After dealing with dips, sprays, spot on treatments (Frontline), and everything you could think of, I called my vet and asked if they had anything better than frontline I could give my poor little itchy pug. They gave me a two pack of Comfortis. I was skeptical, reading reviews on how "amazing" this drug is I couldn't believe it could be true. My pug took the pill with no problems, as she does eat anything in sight, and an hour later, when I picked her up off her bed dead fleas were everywhere. I used a flea comb and pulled 4 more dead fleas off her. I am so happy with this treatment. She had no side effects, as of yet, and NO FLEAS. Whats best is that I can tell she is happier now, no scratching or itching or crying. I cannot recommend this treatment enough! IT IS AMAZING!
...

My 4-month old Aussie mix was suffering from a terrible flea infestation. We tried everything-sprays, drops, shampoos, powders, and they would all provide comfort for a few hours but then the fleas would be back! I was tired of it. A friend at work told me about the Comfortis pill, so I did some online research and was very impressed. I went the next morning and bought the pill at my local Vet's office. My puppy chewed it right up with no problems, and about an hour later the scratching had completely stopped! When I looked at her, she had dead fleas all over her. This product is amazing! I love the fact that all I have to do is give her a pill, and she is protected from fleas! It kills them and prevents reinfestations. This product is awesome and I believe it is the best thing out there for solving flea problems!
...

lizardsally says "I hate using chemicals on my dogs, but this stuff really works!" about Comfortis

Firstly, let me tell you that I'm a firm believer in natural products and avoiding chemicals at all costs. I feed my pet carnivores an all natural, species appropriate diet of raw meat, bones and organs, just as their wild brothers the wolves would eat. That being said, I have tried everything to rid my house and dogs of fleas (a common problem here in Central Florida) and NOTHING worked before Comfortis. In the past (before I went all natural) I had tried all the other "chemical" products - Borax powder in the carpet, Frontline, Advantage, the sprays you can buy at pet stores. Then during recent years I tried all the "natural" methods - adding garlic to their food, diatomaceous earth, essential oil sprays. Nothing else worked to get rid of the fleas 100%.

I was at my wit's end until I heard about Comfortis. At first I was very leary of it - it's a new product, the clinical trials were only conducted on about 600 dogs, it sounded pretty scary. But the reviews I read...
...

We have tried just about everything there is out there for fleas, with all bad results, nothing seemed to work until we tried Confortis. My wife took our little guy to the Vet last summer for his shots, and just happened to mention that she was at wits end with the flea situation. And last year was a really bad year. They recommended Confortis, we had never heard of it before then, but we will never use anything else after this.

We have tried Frontline Plus, Advantix, Hartz, Dips, Shampoos, everything. The liquid stuff, all it does is make a greasy spot on his back and nothing else. Dips only work for a week, if that and shampoos only work for some of the ones that are on him at the time. Every night, my wife would spend a good hour searching for fleas on Maxwell, she actually got pretty good popping them between her finger nails.

BUT, since we started using Confortis, NOT ONE FLEA, it's like a miracle. I'm so glad that we learned of this. I would tell the whole world about...
...
