Road Trip is a hillarious movie about a father (Martin Lawrence) who wants his daughter to go to college close to home, but she has other plans. She plans a fun, college road trip with her friends. However, her protective father decides that he wants to take her on the college road trip, so that he can take this time to convince her that she would be better off going to his college of choice. He will stop at nothing to get his way. There is excitement, and adventure along the way, and he discovers, that he has trust his daughter to make good decisions, and to let his daughter go, so she can fulfill her dreams.

The lead character in College Road Trip seeks to please her father but is also growing up and has some of her own opinions and ideas. Basically, it is a comedy so you'll laugh a lot. Never the less, there are some serious and touching scenes. She refers to herself as a "good girl" and this film, unlike many films, does not treat being good as a bad thing. She is a high school senior who laughs, dances and acts silly with her girlfriends for fun. Basically, she is wholesome and well educated.

The fathers in the film seem to really adore their daughters and want to protect them, which is fun to see even when Martin Lawrence's method of protecting his daughter gets a bit farfetched. Donny Osmond is hysterically funny as one of the fathers. Compared to high school seniors in most films, the lead character and her friends are very wholesome. Although the script does not refer to religion, it does not mock wholesomeness and innocence.

My family loved it! We actually saw it twice!

College Road trip is was fun and light.

It's nice to be able to watch a movie with your teen (or pre-teen) and laugh together.

This was such a cute show! My husband and I laughed so much during it. And its great because it was so close to home because my husband's daughter will be going off to college this weekend. Loved it!...

College Road Trip wasn't what I'd thought it would be. It was so bland, even with Martin Larrence in the movie. Martin Larrence is my favorite comedian and when I saw him in this movie his jokes was a little cornie, even for a kids movie. The first time is the only time I would watch this movie....

I thought this was a great movie. Martin Lawrence did such a good job playing the overprotective father. this was something that both the kids and my husband can enjoy together. It was funny through out the movie....

I am a fourth grade teacher and several of my students were talking about how funny this movie is. I decided to watch it with my mom over my Spring Break and really enjoyed it. The movie is certainly good for the whole family and will keep you laughing. I can't wait to tell my students that I saw it....

If you're looking for a good family film to see during Spring Break, you can't do much better than College Road Trip. Starring Raven-Symone, I knew I had to bring my 11 year old daughter to see it. It seems we regularly watch her show on Disney, along with its spinoff, Corey in the House, but I felt in the end I enjoyed it nearly as much as she did.

Raven stars as a typical high schooler battling with her father, played by Martin Lawrence in a role much different than his earlier ones. Like every dad, he only wants the best for his only daughter, but he also wants her to stay close to him, which is the reason why from the day she was born, he has dreamed of her going to Northwestern. Wanting to be a defense attorney after a successful turn doing the same for the Big Bad Wolf in a mock trial in high school, she wants to go to Georgetown, much further away.

With his daughter needing to get to Washington, D.C. for an interview with Georgetown, Lawrence borrows his company car, the Chief of Police......
