Technology today prevents most radar detectors from being much good. Yes, the Cobra does alert you when there is a cop, however, it doesn't alert you until you are already in the radar and ten feet from the cop. It works if you simply want to know there is a cop for no reason other than knowing. If you are one who likes to depress the gas pedal and get from point A to point B as quickly as possible, without interruptions from the local sheriff, don't depend on this radar detector to prevent that from happening. I think the cops are getting a little smarter today. If you want a good one, you're going to have to pay big bucks for it.

Cobra - XRS 9430 Radar Detector is the best dector that i have ever bought. picks up in a long distance and is very accurate. As soon as i bought it i did a little test on it and plugged it in and drove and just looked for cops to see if it really was as good as i had herd. it was very accurate and noticed alot of the cops that i had seen. the only down fall would be that if you do happen to get pulled over and a cop does see it that means that you are more likely to get issued a ticket....

I finally decided to buy a radar detector because it seemed that teens driving or college kids get harassed the most at the end of the month by the authorities for little things like having an air freshener hanging from your rear view mirror or got 3 mph over the speed limit when it gets toward the end of the month. I would have to say it is the best investment I have made and I bought the Cobra XRS 9430 and it works wonder. It isn't as annoying as other ones I have seen and it is easy to figure out. I would definitely recommend this product!...

Cobra XRS 9439 Radar Detector is one of the best on the market. Gives me both front and back detection, without a lot of false detections. Makes me feel confortable when I want to drive a little faster, that I won't have the flashing light in my rear-view window. Really a good but for the price....

The Cobra XRS 9430 Radar detector is the best one ive seen yet. What I like about it is that the lights are ultra bright which makes it easy to see. Also it has Voice Alert which is awsome because instead of having to look at the detector and taking your attention off the road, all you have to do is listen. Would recomend this radar detector to everyone I know looking for one. What makes this the best radar detector is the price. It has alot of the same features as the spendy ones and some that the others dont. But the price is way far cheaper than the others....

i really think rador detectors are great.they are the one way we have an up on these kids that are our police officers.yeah they protect and serve,serve a bunch of crap.there are so many headlines of crooked cop caught in the act,harrasment cases pending...i like that you can know when they are hidding around a bend and are one ahead.mastly for speeders-i have a heavy foot and it is great to know when i need to slow down to avoid being treated like a criminal for speeding.also for the really bad dangerous speeders it keeps them in check knowing the piggies are there.....

The Cobra - XRS 9430 Radar Detector works excellent! I bought this for my husbands birthday gift and he loves it. The cobra has already saved us on getting many spending tickets. It has a great range of radar. It was really easy to install just plug it into the cig litter and your ready. It comes with the velcrow strips or a suction cup opitions. Which comes in handy during night and day so the placing of the radar isnt to obvious to PREDATORS. I would recommend this to all those out there who have lead feet. It is an excellent inexpensive product that works great! This is the best radar on the market. I love it. It is wonderful. This is the only one I have ever used. It is a must buy....

I have had 2 radar detectors in my life. The newest was the Cobra XRS 9430. 2 speeding tickets later and almost $500 I find it's not worth the money....
